      You will reach your destination Medan on the island of Sumatra. Here, after landing, you will visit the colonial quarter as well as the Sultanโ€™s Palace. 1 night in Medan. (M)

      Today you will drive to Bukit Lawang and get an on-site insight into an Eco Farming Center, which is committed to the conservation of nature and organic farming. The rest of the day is at your leisure. 1 night in Bukit Lawang. (B/M)

  • Day 4 Day 15: Village Life And Tanah Lot

      Day 15: Village Life And Tanah Lot

      During a short walk along the rice fields you will learn more about rice production. According to the rice cultivation cycle, you can either help planting young rice seedlings or harvesting yourself. After lunch, you will continue to Mengwi, where you will visit the royal Taman Ayun temple. The day ends with sunset at the Tanah Lot Sea Temple. 2 nights in Ubud. (B/M)

      Day 6: Tobasee

      Today you will explore the island and visit the main sights such as the 400 year old stone sarcophagi of the Sidabutar royal family. In a village you can explore the megalithic monuments as well as the typical longhouses. You are invited to a traditional Batak dance performance in the village of Samanindo before returning to your hotel around mid-afternoon for your free afternoon. (F)

      Day 5: Berastagi

      Get to know the mountain village on a small sightseeing tour. In a village you will see the traditional longhouses and get an insight into the tradition of the Karo Batak people. Afterwards, you will continue your journey to Lake Toba. On the way you will stop at the impressive Sipisopiso waterfall. Upon arrival in Parapat, you will take a local ferry to Samosir Island. 2 nights there. (F)

  • Day 7 Day 7: Flight To Java Island

      Day 7: Flight To Java Island

      The boat in the morning will take you back to Parapat, and from there you will drive to the airport in Medan. From there you will fly on to Yogyakarta via Jakarta. Once there, your transfer will be to your hotel. 3 nights in Yogyakarta. (B/A)

  • Day 8 Day 9: Borobudur

      Day 9: Borobudur

      Today you will experience one of the most famous handicrafts in Indonesia during a visit to a batik factory. Afterwards, you will take an excursion to Candirejo. Besides a typical lunch, you will explore the village by horse-drawn carriage and learn more about the traditions of the villagers. Then drive to the famous temple complex of Borobudur (UNESCO World Heritage Site). (B/M)

      The city tour in Yogyakarta will take you to the Sultanโ€™s Palace and the ruins of the Taman Sari Water Castle, among others. In the afternoon, a masterpiece of stonemasonry awaits you: the Hindu temple complex of Prambanan (UNESCO World Heritage Site), dedicated to the gods Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva and one of the most beautiful and valuable in Hinduism.       Day 4: In Close Contact With The Apes

      After a short hike you will reach your destination today: the feeding platform of the orangutans. With a little luck you can observe the apes. On your further hike you will then get to know different species of the local flora and fauna (total day hike time: approx. 3 hrs.). Afterwards, you will drive to the mountain resort of Berastagi with unique views of the Siayak and Sinabung volcanoes, which are over 2,000 meters high. 1 night in Berastagi. (F)

      Day 12: Mt. Bromo

      Today you will observe a very special natural spectacle: the sunrise at the volcano Mt. Bromo! With an all-terrain vehicle you will go to the foot of the volcano. From here you have the option of either horseback or walking to the active crater rim. In the course of the morning you will continue to Kalibaru. This small village is known throughout Indonesia for its numerous coffee and cocoa plantations. 1 night in Kalibaru. (F)

  • Day 13 Day 17: Lake Batur, Besakih Temple

      Today you will visit the rock temple Gunung Kawi with the royal tombs. After that you will visit the spring sanctuary Pura Tirta Empul. On the way to Kintamani you can enjoy beautiful landscapes and admire the unique scenery of the Batur volcano with the mystical Lake Batur. The subsequent drive will then take you to the mother temple of Besakih. In the afternoon you will reach your beach hotel in Sanur. 2 nights in Sanur. (F)

      Day 11: Malang

      By bicycle rickshaw you will explore Malang with its colonial flair. Afterwards you will drive through beautiful landscapes with picturesque rice fields and imposing volcanic cones towards the volcano Mt. Bromo. You will spend the night in a simple accommodation ideally located for the next dayโ€™s morning sunrise at Mt. Bromo. (F)

      Day 14: Lake Bratan

      The morning is at leisure before an early afternoon drive along beautiful rice terraces and tropical forests to Lake Bratan. On the western shore you will visit the 17th century temple of Pura Ulun Danu Bratan. You will then drive to Umabian, a traditional Balinese village, where you will check into your hotel. Surrounded by rice fields and spectacular views, this is an ideal place to relax. 1 night in Umabian. (F)

  • Day 16 Day 16: Ubud

      Day 16: Ubud

      Start your day with a tour of the artistsโ€™ village of Ubud. Among other things, you will visit the monkey forest, the art museum as well as the royal palace. The morning ends with a walk through the market of Ubud. The afternoon is at leisure. (F)

      Day 10: Train Ride To East Java

      Early in the morning you will take the train to the east to Jombang. From there you will continue to Trowulan, a huge archaeological site of the capital of the Majapahit Kingdom from the 14th and 15th centuries. You will visit the archaeological museum and the temples Candi Bajang Ratu and Candi Tikus. 1 night in Malang. (F)

  • Day 19 Day 13: Bali

      Day 13: Bali

      Today, a leisurely walking tour of Kalibaru awaits you before visiting a plantation in the area. At the end of the plantation tour you are invited to a small coffee tasting. Afterwards, you will drive to the port of Ketapang on the coast of East Java, where you will take the ferry to Bali. The subsequent overland journey will take you to Pemuteran, where you will spend the night tonight. (F)
