5 Days Navigation Experience In Amazonas, Brazil - Private V

1 Night @ Hotel Go Inn Manaus | Standard Room (breakfast & taxes included) 3 Nights @ Amazon River Boat | Hammocks (full Board (drinks not included unless specified) Check-in to the hotel is normally after 2:00 PM. Early check-in may be granted subject to availability (not confirmed). You may store your luggage at the hotel until you are able to check-in Check-out of the hotel is normally at 12:00 PM. Late check-out may be granted subject to availability (not confirmed). You may store your luggage at the hotel until you are ready to leave for the airport. Breakfast is normally served from 6-7 to 9-10 and changes from hotel to hotel. In case your transfer out leaves before that time it is travelerโ€™s responsibility to ask the day before at the reception desk to book or ask for an early breakfast service and extra costs may be applied by the property. Closed, waterproof and comfortable footwear to take walks in nature, as several sections are held in places that may be wet and with insects. We recommend a 5-10kg backpack for activities and leave the rest of the luggage in Manaus. If you have a raincoat with possibility of putting the bag inside, is recommended to take it. Insect repellent, flashlight, raincoat, swimwear and sunscreen all through the year. Throughout the trip our travelers will use light clothes, but long pants and long sleeves to protect against insects. A bottle to drink water, avoiding the use of disposable containers. They will be able to refill in airports and hotels during the trip. It is necessary to get advice from their local center of international vaccination before travelling.

  • Day 1 Day 1: Manaus Airport, Arrival
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 1: Manaus Airport, Arrival

      Arrival at Manaus Airport, the capital of the Brazilian Amazon and the central point to start all excursions into the Amazon jungle. After arriving at our accommodation place, weโ€™ll make a stroll through the typical neighborhoods to Manaus floating dock, located in the city center. Then we are going to visit the municipal market, the fish market and pass in front of the Rio Negro Palace, home of state government and the Palace of Justice, to finally end with an internal visit to the Amazonas Theatre, surely one of the main tourist attractions of Manaus. We return to the hotel.  

      City Tour in Manaus - 3h: The theater is closed on Sundays and Public Holidays.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Manaus - Amazon River Boat

      Day 2: Manaus - Amazon River Boat

      In the morning, the expedition along the Amazon River will begin at the Manaus Port in a private boat that will take us and accommodate us for 4 days. At the beginning of the journey we will arrive at the โ€œencontro das รกguasโ€ (meeting of the waters), location where the waters of the Rio Negro and the Rio Solimรตes meet without mixing. Afterwards we will enter the river in small rafts to fish for piranhas and observe the caimans.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Amazon River Boat

      Day 3: Amazon River Boat

      We will continue along Rio Negro to meet the Acajatuba community, where we will see the habits, traditions and crafts of the natives. In the afternoon, we will visit a riverside family and their manioc flour houses. Later we will have a canoe ride that will end with dinner at moonlight.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Amazon River Boat

      Day 4: Amazon River Boat

      We will wake up to go for a swim in the river and, after breakfast, we will visit Terra Preta caboclo village in the ecological reserve of the Anavilhanas. In the afternoon, we leave the boat for a jungle survival experience.

      Accompanied by a native guide, we will hike through the rain forest learning survival skills, such as how to extract water and milk from trees, primitive hunting techniques and medicinal properties of various plants. Then, we set up hammocks and prepare a campfire meal to enjoy like true caboclos.

      Sleeping at camp is an option, but those who prefer to stay on the boat can do it as well.            


  • Day 5 Day 5: Amazon River Boat - Manaus Airport, Departure

      Day 5: Amazon River Boat - Manaus Airport, Departure

      We will pack up the camp and begin our journey back to the river, arriving at the boat to enjoy a well deserved swim. After that, we will travel downriver to the Seringal Museum, to learn about rubberโ€™s historical importance for the region. Transfer to the airport of Manaus for departure to our next destination.
