Commence your adventure in Kuching, Sarawak’s capital on Borneo Island, Malaysia. Upon arrival, enjoy a private transfer from the airport to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax after your long-haul flight.

This morning, set off on a guided walking tour of Kuching’s heritage sites, encompassing Chinatown, the iconic Cat Statue, the vibrant Tua Pek Kong Chinese Temple, the Chinese History Museum, and the Natural History Museum. Return via the gleaming City Mosque and venture through Old Kuching’s bustling streets lined with spice dealers and textile shops. Admire the White Rajah era’s heritage buildings, including the Pavilion, Square Tower, Court House, Charles Brooke Monument, and Post Office. Conclude with an exterior view of the Astana, the former residence of the White Rajahs, from the scenic Kuching Waterfront.

Day 3 Kuching - Batang Ai (B/L/D)

Departing from Kuching, your 3 Days 2 Nights Batang Ai tour starts with a scenic drive (about 4 hours) via air-conditioned vehicle to Sri Aman. Along the mountainous road, traverse quaint towns, villages, lush paddy fields, and pepper and oil palm plantations, gradually delving into the interior’s secondary and virgin jungles. Serian Town hosts a visit to the Local Market, showcasing diverse local produce, followed by a delightful local coffee break. As you like, explore a Pepper garden to learn about various pepper types before lunch in Lachau. Time permitting, visit Fort Alice. Finally, check into Seri Simanggang Hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 Batang Ai (B/L/D)

Batang Ai (B/L/D)

Enjoy a day filled with cultural insights and natural beauty at Mengkak Longhouse. A 1.5-hour drive will take you to the Hydro dam first before cruising about 30 minutes along the river to reach the longhouse. Immerse yourself in a brief cultural performance by the longhouse residents, accompanied by a demonstration of blowpipe skills. Lunch will be served, after which you’ll have free time to relax until your return journey to the hotel via the same route.

Day 5 Batang Ai - Kuching (B/L)

After breakfast, hit the road for a return drive to Kuching and enjoy the highlight of visiting Semenggoh Wildlife Centre. Alongside your guide, observe semi-wild orangutans, one of Borneo’s endangered species, freely roaming the lush rainforest. The effective breeding program offers the chance to witness touching scenes of rehabilitated orangutan mothers caring for the youngsters. Following your visit, proceed to your hotel in Kuching and spend the remainder of today at leisure.

Note: As the orang utan in Semenggoh are semi-wild, sightings cannot be guaranteed
