      Your journey begins at around 2 pm in Livingstone/Zambia, where you will meet your tour group and your tour guide. During a walk along the edge of the "Mosi oa Tunya" - "thundering smoke", as the falls are called by the locals - you will experience this natural wonder up close. Depending on your interests, you can also take part in a variety of activities such as white water rafting, helicopter flights or boat trips etc. (optional). 2 nights in a tent.

  • Day 2 Day 3-4: Livingstone - Caprivi Strip

      You cross the border to Namibia at Sesheke and continue your journey through the Caprivi Strip. This narrow strip of land stretches between Angola, Botswana and Zambia and is the most water-rich region in Namibia. The green river landscape provides a habitat for numerous wild animals. You will discover a true bird paradise! Spend two days observing wildlife in this remote region. On a boat tour on the Kavango River, you will get to know a completely different Namibia, far away from the desert and aridity. 2 nights in a tent. (Day 3 driving time approx. 5 hours, 350 km).   • Day 3 Day 5: Caprivi Strip - Rundu

      Day 5: Caprivi Strip - Rundu

      Amidst the sounds of nature, you enjoy your breakfast and travel along the Okavango River. You pass through settlements with thatched round huts and, with a bit of luck, observe wood carvers and other local craftsmen. You set up camp on the banks of the river near Rundu. Overnight stay in a tent. (Travel time approx. 3.5 hours, 250 km).

  • Day 4 Day 6-7: Rundu - Etosha National Park

      Day 6-7: Rundu - Etosha National Park

      Today you penetrate even deeper into Namibiaโ€™s interior and reach your next destination, the Etosha National Park. "The great vast place of dry water" is one of the most animal-rich protected areas in southern Africa. In the mornings and afternoons, you go on game drives along the heart of the park, the huge, wide salt pan. The numerous waterholes that surround it attract elephants, antelopes and lions. 2 nights in a tent in one of the state camps directly in the national park. (Travel time approx. 7.5 hours, 590 km).

      The Brandberg, the highest mountain massif in Namibia, awaits you. The tents are pitched on the dry riverbed of the Ugab. The rare desert elephants have adapted to this dryness. You explore the mountain region on foot and marvel at some of the numerous rock paintings such as the famous "White Lady". Overnight stay in a tent. (Travel time approx. 7.5 hours, 600 km).

      Continue south through a beautiful desert landscape. The Spitzkoppe massif rises up in front of you. You set up camp right at the foot of the mountain. You then go on a hike through the almost untouched, bizarre rocky landscape. The unbelievable vastness and tranquillity will make you dream! Overnight stay in a tent.   • Day 7 Day 10-11: Spitzkoppe - Swakopmund

      Day 10-11: Spitzkoppe - Swakopmund

      The route leads through flat, wide plains to the Atlantic Ocean. You make a detour to the seal colony at Cape Cross. Then continue to Swakopmund. You have a whole day for a stroll through the town and numerous activities. Try your hand at sand-boarding or ride a quad bike over the dunes (optional). As an expert tip, we can recommend the "Living Desert" tour, on which you will get to know the survival artists of the Namib Desert.       You leave the coastal town of Swakopmund behind you and drive through Namibiaโ€™s unique "lunar landscape". The Namib Desert and Namibiaโ€™s most famous attraction - the worldโ€™s highest star-shaped dunes in Sossusvlei - are the next highlight of your trip. The path to the top leads you through the sand directly along the ridge. You then explore the nearby Sesriem Canyon. 2 nights in a tent. (Travel time approx. 5 hours, 370 km).

      Your journey continues to the capital of Namibia. Windhoek, beautifully situated in a valley, combines the architecture of a modern city with historical buildings from the German colonial era. Windhoekโ€™s charm lies in the harmonious coexistence of European and African cultures. After a stroll through the cosmopolitan capital, the day comes to an end in one of the numerous restaurants (optional). Overnight stay in a guest house. (Travel time approx. 5 hours, 350 km).

  • Day 10 Day 15: Windhoek - Kalahari Desert

      Day 15: Windhoek - Kalahari Desert

      For those who have opted for the 15-day trip, the tour ends today in Windhoek, where you will spend the night in the heart of the Kalahari on your way to Botswana. Join a San Bushman on a hike through the desert and learn interesting facts about everyday life in this harsh region, traditional hunting techniques, customs and traditions. Overnight stay in a tent.       Day 16: Kalahari Desert - Maun

      Today you reach Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta. It is the only delta in the world that does not flow into the sea but seeps into the desert and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for good reason. Final preparations are made here for the next two days. The afternoon is at your leisure. How about an optional flight over the delta (costs approx. 175 โ‚ฌ p.p.)? Overnight stay in a tent.   • Day 12 Day 17-18: Maun - Okavango Delta

      Day 17-18: Maun - Okavango Delta

      In the morning, traditional mokoros (dugout canoes) take you deep into the delta. These are led by experienced local guides. The widely ramified labyrinth of the Okavango is the only inland delta in the world and one of the largest and most animal-rich wetlands in Africa. The camp is set up in the wilderness on a remote island. You explore the bush landscape on foot in the company of local guides, read tracks and track wild animals. 2 nights in a tent in the delta with basic sanitary facilities (bush shower, toilet tent).

      You leave the salt pans and drive to what is probably Botswanaโ€™s most famous national park - Chobe National Park. The lifeline of the park is the impressive Chobe River, which attracts the largest elephant population in Africa. In the late afternoon, you will take a boat trip into the sunset. With a bit of luck, you will observe the gray giants on the riverbank. Overnight stay in a lodge. (Travel time approx. 5 hours, 350 km).
