      Today you will fly to Sรฃo Vicente. Your tour guide will welcome you and together you will drive to Mindelo. Relax from your flight or, depending on your arrival time, explore the port city and visit one of the cozy cafes. In the evening, together with your group and tour guide, enjoy a welcome dinner with live music. 2 nights in Mindelo. (A)

  • Day 2 Day 2: Cultural Island Sรฃo Vicente

      Day 2: Cultural Island Sรฃo Vicente

      During a tour of the island you will get to know it better. For lunch you will stop at Calhau, which is accompanied by live music every Sunday (live music only on Sunday). Afterwards you can cool off in the beautiful bay of the fishing village Baia das Gatas (weather permitting). If visibility and weather conditions are good, you will drive to Monte Verde mountain, where you will have an incredible view over Sรฃo Vicente as well as over the neighboring island of Santo Antรฃo.       Day 3: Off To Santo Antรฃo!

      Strengthened by breakfast, the day begins with the crossing to Santo Antรฃo. It is considered the island of mountains and is also known as the ideal hiking island. You can see this for yourself today: you start in Chรฃ das Pedras and hike past banana and sugar cane plantations to your destination of Coculi (easy, approx. 4 km, walking time: 2 hours, +400/- 300 m ascent). On the way, you will stop for lunch with a local family, where you will be spoiled with local food. You will also visit Fontainhas. 2 nights on Santo Antรฃo. (F/M/A)

  • Day 4 Day 4: The Fertile Paรบl Valley

      Day 4: The Fertile Paรบl Valley

      Today you hike through the greenest valley in Cape Verde (moderate, approx. 4-5 km, approx. 3 hours, +/- 200 m elevation gain). You hike along old mule tracks past mango and dragon trees and sugar cane plantations. A visit to a grogue distillery is of course a must. Here you will learn more about the local production of sugar cane schnapps. You will enjoy lunch with a local family with a view of the valley. (F/M/A)

  • Day 5 Day 5: The Untouched Northwest

      Day 5: The Untouched Northwest

      On a hike you will explore the untouched northwest of the island (moderate, approx. 4 km, approx. 3 hrs.). The climb through the terraced landscape is worth it, because the highest point of your hike is a narrow rocky breakthrough that offers a view of the wide valley. Continue over small ridges past bizarre rock formations. You will visit a local project where you can also enjoy your lunch. Afterwards, you will take the ferry back to Mindelo. 1 night in Mindelo.       Day 6: Island Tour Via Santiago

      In the morning you will fly to Santiago. After arrival, you will start an exploration tour of the island of Santiago. Your route will take you to Assomada, among other places, where you will have a look around and take a relaxed stroll through the local market. You will continue to the Serra Malagueta National Park, where you can marvel at the rugged mountains. In the small, picturesque fishing village of Tarrafal you will have lunch and enjoy a refreshing swim in the palm-fringed bay. Along the east coast you will return to Praia. You will have the evening at leisure. 2 nights in Praia. (F/M/A)

      Day 7: Cidade Velha

      Todayโ€™s hike takes you back in history - to Cidade Velha (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the former capital of Cape Verde (easy, approx. 3 km, approx. 2 hours, +/- 120 m elevation gain). Get an idea of the first settlements on the Cape Verde Islands as you stroll past the Rua Banana or enjoy the unique view from the former fort. Afterwards, drive back to Praia. (F/L/A)

  • Day 8 Day 8: The Capital Of Cape Verde &Amp; Fire Island

      Day 8: The Capital Of Cape Verde &Amp; Fire Island

      You will visit the historic town center of Praia and discover the central market, where fresh produce and fish are sold daily. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to stroll through the Socupira African clothing market. Then onward flight to Fogo. The Pico de Fogo volcano dominates the landscape of Fogo Island, which you will explore in more detail after your flight on a hike along the lava fields (easy, approx. 3 hours, +/- 100 m). In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to taste Fogo wine, which is produced in the crater valley. 2 nights in a guesthouse. (F/L/A)

      Day 9: Pico De Fogo

      Today you have the option of climbing Pico Grande, the highest peak on the islands (difficult, 10 km, approx. 4-5 hours, +/- 1200 m). Alternatively, you can conquer Pico Pequeno (moderate, 12 km, approx. 3-4 hours, +/- 280 m). You have the afternoon at leisure. (F/M/A)

      In the islandโ€™s capital, Sรฃo Filipe, you will explore the town center on a walking tour and see the colorful colonial houses where the rulers resided in times past. Let yourself be enchanted by the charm of the little town before returning to Praia in the afternoon. 1 night there. (B/A)
