At the moment you arrive in Lima, a team member of Valencia travel will be waiting for you at the airport and take you, on private transport, to your hotel. Then you will have all day to relax and enjoy the beauty of Lima and its surroundings.

After breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel and transferred to the airport for your flight to Cusco. Once you arrive in Cusco, a member of Valencia travel’s team will be waiting at the airport to pick you up in our private transport and take you to your hotel. After breakfast, enjoy a free day to explore Cusco. The capital city of the Inca Empire is now the archaeological capital of America, as well as the continent’s oldest continuously inhabited city.

We will pick you up at 5:00 am (to be confirmed) and take you to the train station. The train leaves at 7:45 am (time may change depending on availability and changes to timetable). After a 1 hour and 40 minutes journey of majestic views, you arrive in Aguas Calientes (Hot Springs Town). We take the bus to Machu Picchu archaeological site (approx. 20 minutes). Your tour guide will then give a walking tour, which is approximately two hours. After this, you can explore the mysterious city by yourselves.

Today, we will take you to the airport according to your flight itinerary. You will continue with the plan to Quito (Ecuador). Welcome to Quito! The largest, best-preserved colonial city of America - declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978. The city is considered the Cultural Capital of South America and is located on the equator in a valley at the foothills of the Pichincha volcano. Depending on arrival time, you can spend your day exploring the old town of Quito and the surrounding area.

Today we will take you to the airport for your flight to the Island of Baltra in the Galapagos Islands. Once there you will be picked up and transferred to Santa Cruz, a nearby island crossing the narrow Itabaca channel by ferry. From there we will continue by car to our first stop in the highlands of Santa Cruz. The highlands are home to the iconic giant Galapagos tortoises. Here you will visit a private ranch where you will enjoy lunch before heading out for a walk in search of the giant tortoises. During this visit, you will also visit some lava tubes formed when the surface of a lava stream solidifies. After this tour, you will continue by private vehicle to your hotel. Here you will have a meet and greet with your local guide who will explain to you the following day’s plan. Enjoy the rest of the evening as you please.

Today after breakfast you will enjoy a half-day tour of Academy Bay. Be sure to pack everything you need for this trip. Optional snorkel equipment will be provided free of charge to anyone who wishes to use it. During the tour, you will take a boat to Academy Bay where you can swim and snorkel with all kinds of exotic fish and marine life, as well as the famous sea lions; they are inquisitive animals and like to approach to swim next to you underwater. Here you can also see the sought after blue-footed boobies. Afterward, climb to a nearby viewpoint, and if you are lucky, you can see white-tipped reef sharks swimming in the ocean below. Later, take a walk along the Playa de Los Perros, where many sea iguanas are found basking in the sun. The enormous cacti, the thick, red color of the rocks and the turquoise, sparkling ocean make for great photo opportunities.

Day 9 Day 9: Santa Cruz – Charles Darwin Station – San Cristobal

In the morning, we will enjoy a guided visit to Charles Darwin research station to learn about the efforts done by the national park for conservation and to meet the famous Lonesome George.

In the afternoon you will be met and transferred from your hotel to the dock of Santa Cruz where you will take a boat (approx. 2 1/2 hours) to the island of San Cristóbal. When you arrive in San Cristóbal, you will meet and greet with another local guide who will explain the rest of your itinerary to you. The rest of the evening you are free to enjoy this stunning island.

Day 10 Day 10: Isla Lobos Excursion – San Cristobal

Day 10: Isla Lobos Excursion – San Cristobal

Today after breakfast you will be met and transferred to a dock where you will take a quick boat ride to the nearby Isla Lobos. During this boat trip, observe many marine animals before even setting foot on the island. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided tour where you will have the chance to see frigate birds, blue-footed boobies, manta, sea lions and sometimes sharks that all inhabit the island and its surrounding waters. The white coral beaches of San Cristóbal are great to walk around, relax and swim before you return to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. In the afternoon we have a guided walk to the interpretation center and to the frigate hill to appreciate the beautiful landscapes and see many frigate birds nesting around the bushes.

Finish the day with a nice cocktail by the sunset at playa man bay.

After our final breakfast on the Galapagos Islands and the last photos taken of sea lions, we have a transfer to the airport in time to catch the flight back to the mainland. Arrive in Quito and transfer to the hotel to spend your last night in Ecuador.
