      Meet and greet at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Discover Kuching in a walking tour visiting the Tua Pek Kong Chinese Temple, the oldest in Sarawak, Jalan Gambier where colourful local markets are located beside the spice shops. View the Astana from the waterfront. Visit to an exhibition of โ€œUrang Sarawakโ€ located in the Art segment of the Sarawak Museum.

      Explore the Bako National Park, a 16 square kilometers of primary forest and wildlife and its natural beauty of rocks and cliffs. There are 25 types of vegetation ranging from lush cliff and lowland dipterocarp forests to almost desert-like scrubs on the upper plateau.  Observe up close wild orchids, pitcher plants and look out for proboscis monkeys, bearded pigs and hundreds of bird species.

      Fly to Mulu National Park home to the largest cave passage in the world is a paradise for naturalists. Mulu Park is known to have 1500 species of flowering plants, 170 species of wild orchids and 67 species of animals (sighting of animals is not guaranteed). Transfer to your Hotel and at your own leisure.


      In the afternoon, enjoy the 3 km raised plank walk to explore the Deer and Lang Caves โ€“ the largest cave passage in the world. Walk through the peat swamp forest, and if weather permits, be mesmerized by millions of bats which flying around the cave each evening.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Mulu

      Day 4: Mulu

      Continue with the exploration of Mulu caves with a boat ride to Clearwater Cave. You can swim at a crystal clear water pool near the Clearwater Cave. Explore the Wind Cave and thereafter proceed to Batu Bungan Penan Settlement, to observe the tribe lifestyle and their handicraft heritage.

      Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for your onward flight to Kota Kinabalu. Transfer to your hotel on arrival. Free at leisure.

      Visit Kota Belud, home to the Cowboys of the East, the Bajau, a small sleepy town the native market day every Sunday. Enjoy a visit to a Rungus longhouse, home to Rungus natives famed for their beads and basket-weaving handicraft.  Enjoy the spectacular sunset at the northern most tip of Borneo, overlooking the South China Sea with a glass of wine.

      En-route to Kota Kinabalu stop a gong making village a Rungus tribe musical instrument and a village to see how the local honey is produced. Rest of the day in Kota Kinabalu is at leisure.

      Embark on an afternoon mangrove cruise with a 02 hrs overland journey to Garama or Klias village. Enjoy the spectacular scenery and its serenity and if you are lucky catch the sight of the bizarre proboscis monkey โ€œNasalis Lavatusโ€ or the fireflies in their natural habitat.

      A full day excursion to Kinabalu National Park, the base of the highest mountain in Southeast Asia. Explore this botanistโ€™s paradise home to over a 1500 species of orchids, 330 species of birds, 26 species of rhododendrons, fern, pitcher plants and other vegetation.  Enjoy a guided nature walk, the exhibition hall and a slide presentation. Return to Kota Kinabalu. Transfer to the airport.
