  • Day 1 Day 1: Arrival
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 1: Arrival

      Individual arrival in Kittilรค. Transfer on your own (public bus - payable locally) to ร„kรคslompolo (travel time approx. 60 min). Once there, a driver will be waiting to take you to the husky farm. This is located approx. 200 km north of Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland. First tour briefing and handover of the equipment provided. Overnight stay in log cabins.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Introduction And Test Drive
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 2: Introduction And Test Drive

      After breakfast, you will meet your guide and receive a detailed briefing. You will learn how to harness the huskies and put what you have learned directly into practice. This is followed by the first training ride with the dogs. The sled is already packed so that you can get used to the driving experience. Overnight stay as on the previous day.

  • Day 3 Day 3-5: Hut Tour Through Lapland

      Day 3-5: Hut Tour Through Lapland

      The hut tour begins today. This leads through the vastness of "Tunturilappland", also known as Berglappland. You may encounter a few reindeer along the way. The snow swallows every sound and you glide silently through the magnificent winter landscape. The landscape changes from large marshlands, lakes and rivers to extensive forest areas and the mountains of Western Lapland. These rise up to approx. 1000 m above sea level. A large part of the area has now been declared a national park and you spend the nights in simple log cabins, with water being drawn from a nearby lake or river. Meals are prepared together, dogs are fed, wood is split and the sauna is heated. Nevertheless, there is still time to go for short walks or simply relax. Relaxing the dogs also takes time and within a short time you will develop a very close relationship with your dog sled team. 3 overnight stays in wilderness huts. (Daily stages approx. 3-6 hours, 30-60 km).

  • Day 4 Day 6: Return To The Husky Farm

      Day 6: Return To The Husky Farm

      You arrive back at the husky farm in the afternoon. Say goodbye to your husky team and look forward to your first shower and dinner. Overnight stay in log cabins.

  • Day 5 Day 7: Time For Your Own Activities

      Day 7: Time For Your Own Activities

      The day is at leisure. The staff on site will be happy to help you organize various activities, snowshoes can be hired or snowmobile tours can be booked (for an extra charge). Of course, you can also simply relax or go for a walk with the "oldies". Overnight stay as the day before.

  • Day 6 Day 8: Departure
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 8: Departure

      Farewell in the morning, transfer to ร„kรคslompolo, transfer to the airport on your own (public bus - payable locally) and individual journey home.
