The safety of our guests and staff is a top priority, and we are monitoring the evolving Coronavirus/COVID-19 situation closely. All of our guides are fully vaccinated to protect their safety and the safety of all visitors. We are taking recommended prevention and response measures, including: โ€ขOur Tour Guides will wear a mask throughout the tour and gloves when sanitizing, taking temperatures, opening/closing doors, and providing sanitizer to guests. โ€ขGuides will take their temperatures frequently to monitor for fever and will not work if they are sick. After an illness, a guide can return to work after receiving a negative test for COVID-19 or having no fever for 14 days. โ€ขBefore leaving our dispatch, each Tour Guide will ensure that all surfaces in the vehicle are appropriately sanitized and wiped down. โ€ข Before any guest enters the vehicle at their pickup location, our Tour Guide will use a non-contact thermometer to ensure that anyone with a fever or anyone traveling with others who have a fever (temperature must be less than 100.4ยบF (38.0ยบC)) do not enter the vehicle. โ€ขThe front seat will be off-limits to guests. โ€ข If a guest jeopardizes the health and safety of another guest, a guide, or a partner employee or customer (e.g., refuses to wear a mask, refuses to abide by social distancing guidelines, etc.), they will be removed from the tour, and no refund will be issued. โ€ขDuring the excursion, our Tour Guides will be the only individuals to open and close the vehicleโ€™s doors. โ€ขGuests will wear a mask for the duration of the tour, except in locations where masks are not required. Guests are required to supply their masks. Guests without masks will not be allowed to take the tour, and no refund will be given. Guests under age five or medically compromised will not be required to wear a mask per CDC guidelines. Children ages five and over are required to wear a face covering. โ€ขGuests will refrain from physical contact with our guide, other guests not in their party, partner staff, or other patrons while maintaining 6-foot social distancing guidelines. โ€ขAt each stop, when guests exit the vehicle, our Tour Guide will use sanitary wipes to disinfect commonly touched areas inside the vehicle. โ€ขUpon returning to the vehicle, our Tour Guide will provide hand sanitizer or wipes for each customer. โ€ขAt the end of each tour, all surfaces inside the vehicle will be sanitized and wiped down. โ€ขWe will limit the number of guests on our tours to 8. โ€ขWe are expanding our communications about our refund policy to ensure anyone who is not feeling well will receive a full refund for the tour is canceled. โ€ขOur leadership team will continue actively monitoring the recommendations from the CDC, WHO, and OHA and implement best practices accordingly. When you place your reservation, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and home address so that if we receive notification that a guest has tested positive for COVID-19, we can contact all other guests on that tour. As always, we will communicate clearly and directly about our plans and activities to continue to offer our tours in the safest possible environment.

      Upon your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, the Peregrine team will be eagerly awaiting to extend you a warm welcome. Weโ€™ll be on hand to assist you with all necessary formalities and then whisk you away to your accommodation, The Everest Hotel. Nestled in a prime location in Kathmandu, this hotel offers cozy lodging and contemporary amenities, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay.


      Once youโ€™ve settled in, weโ€™ll convene for a tour briefing to equip you with all the vital information about your upcoming adventure. Our experienced guide will be present to address any queries you may have and to outline the itinerary and activities planned for you.


      With the formalities taken care of, the evening is yours to unwind and explore at your leisure. You may opt for a leisurely stroll, immerse yourself in the vibrant ambiance of Kathmandu, or simply relax at the hotel and prepare for the thrilling journey that lies ahead.

      On this day, weโ€™ll embark on a journey covering a driving distance of 32 km, with an elevation of 1350 meters (4429 feet). The dayโ€™s highlights include visiting Boudhanath Stupa, renowned as the most significant Buddha temple in Nepal and the holiest Tibetan Buddhist temple outside Tibet. Following this, weโ€™ll explore Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred site dedicated to Lord Shiva, boasting numerous Shiva temples and providing a glimpse into the unique attire and styles of Hindu Sages. Our next stop will be Bhaktapur, the oldest city in the Kathmandu valley, where weโ€™ll have the opportunity to marvel at the Palace and various temples with centuries-old history. Finally, weโ€™ll conclude the day by witnessing the breathtaking sunset view from Nagarkot, a hill station located 32 km east of Kathmandu. Situated at an altitude of 2195 meters (7201 feet) above sea level, Nagarkot offers panoramic views of the Himalayas and mesmerizing sunset vistas. Weโ€™ll spend the night in Nagarkot, immersed in the beauty of the surrounding landscape.

The dayโ€™s highlights begin with a breathtaking sunrise view of the Himalayan range, offering a mesmerizing start to the day. Weโ€™ll then delve into the cultural richness of Patan, often referred to as the city of fine arts. Here, weโ€™ll explore historical landmarks such as the old Royal Palace, Krishna Temple, Golden Temple, Temple of Millions of Buddha, and several monasteries, immersing ourselves in the cityโ€™s rich heritage. Following our exploration, youโ€™ll have some free time to shop, where you can indulge in local crafts and souvenirs. As the day winds down, weโ€™ll come together for a captivating cultural show and indulge in a delicious dinner featuring authentic Nepali Cuisine. Our overnight stay will be in Kathmandu, filled with memories of a day rich in cultural exploration and scenic beauty.

      After breakfast at your hotel, before setting off on a scenic drive towards the Tibetan border. As you leave Kathmandu behind, witness the beauty of the Nepalese countryside unfold before you. Lush green valleys and charming villages paint a picture of rural life.


      Upon reaching the Kyirong (Kerung) border, complete the necessary immigration formalities on both the Nepali and Chinese sides. This process may take some time, so be patient. After crossing the bridge, continue your journey towards Kyirong town, a small Tibetan border settlement nestled at an altitude of 4350 meters. Check into your hotel (Kerung Hotel) and settle in for the night.

Depending on the itinerary, you can visit the Lhatse Branch Monastery, a significant Gelugpa monastery. Arrive in Shigatse, the second-largest city in Tibet, and check into your hotel.

Retrace your steps along the Friendship Highway, witnessing the familiar landscapes from a new perspective.  Upon reaching the Kyirong (Kerung) border, complete the necessary departure formalities.  Finally, arrive back in Kathmandu, filled with unforgettable memories of your exploration on the "roof of the world.
