  • Day 1 Arrival In Kathmandu

      Welcome to Kathmandu, Nepal! As you arrive, an Asian Heritage Treks & Travel representative will welcome you at the airport with your nameplate. Then, you will be immediately transferred to the hotel. On the way to the hotel, you will pass by the Open Cremation Place (Pashupatinath Temple) and the Royal Palace Museum, i.e., Narayanhiti, Garden of Dreams, before you reach Thamel. Your hotel will be downtown at the tourist hub. Our representative will facilitate and discuss your travel itinerary. There will be enough time to stroll through the streets of Thamel.

  • Day 2 Sightseeing In Kathmandu Valley, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swyambhunath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa

      After breakfast, our tour guide and driver will pick you up in a private vehicle. First, you will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you can see typical wood-carved temples and buildings from the ancient Kathmandu city. You will then proceed to Swyambhunath, the Monkey Temple, from which you can enjoy a panoramic view of Kathmandu.

      Then youโ€™ll go to the Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most important pilgrimage sites for Hindus in Southeast Asia. You will explore the surroundings and observe the Hindusโ€™ ritual body cremation ceremony. Another pilgrimage site near the Pashupatinath Temple is the Guweyswori Temple.

      Finally, you will visit the Boudhanath Stupa, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. The stupa, built in 600 A.D., is the worldโ€™s only stupa that reflects Buddhism. You will get the opportunity to investigate the surroundings of Bouddhanath Stupa. After youโ€™ve completed the sightseeing, you can return to your hotel and relax.

  • Day 3 Sightseeing In Patan And Bhaktapur

      Sightseeing In Patan And Bhaktapur

      Early in the morning, our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel. First, we will visit Patan Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, we can see typical wood-carved temples and structures.

      Then you will head to Bhaktapur Durbar Square. It is the last of three Durbar Squares you will visit on the tour. Youโ€™ll also see a five-story temple and the Dattatreya Mandir. After that, you will visit the Changu Narayan Temple, Nepalโ€™s oldest temple. It is a popular Hindu pilgrimage site. After exploring the surroundings, youโ€™ll drive back to the hotel for some rest.

  • Day 4 Flight To Lhasa (3650M)

      On the fourth day of the Nepal-Tibetan Highlights Tour, you will fly to Lhasa. Upon arrival, our Tibet agent will greet you at Lhasa Gonggar Airport (LXA). Then a private vehicle will take you to the hotel. Lhasa is located on the northern bank of the Kyi-Chu River. Kyi Chu translates to "Place of the Gods" in Tibetan. Allow your body to acclimate to the higher altitude over the course of the day.

  • Day 5 Visit Drepung Monastery & Sera Monastery

      Visit Drepung Monastery & Sera Monastery

      After breakfast, you will drive to the Drepung Monastery. It is located 8 kilometers west of Lhasa and is said to be the worldโ€™s largest monastery, with over 10,000 monks. You will also have an opportunity to visit the Sera Monastery, an enormous structure with golden roofs and whitewashed walls. It was founded in the 15th century and has been well preserved to this day. The monastery is just a few miles north of Lhasa, at the foot of Tatipu Hill in Lhasaโ€™s northern suburb.

      There is also a restored monastery below the summit of the hill where Tsongkhapa was built. It is well-known for debates that take place between 3 and 4 p.m. on a daily basis.

  • Day 6 Lhasa Sightseeing

      Today you will visit Jokhang Temple, which is located in the heart of Old Lhasa. It houses Tibetโ€™s most valuable religious relic, a gold Shakyamuni Buddha. It is Tibetโ€™s most sacred shrine, bustling with spiritual worshippers. The temple is the ultimate pilgrimage site for Tibetan pilgrims. The Barkhor Marketplace surrounds the Jokhang Temple. Barkhor Marketplace is Lhasaโ€™s religious and social center. You can go shopping in Barkhor Market, a bustling Tibetan city center. 

      Barkhor Street is a magical place that reflects the original outlook of Lhasa visitors. It is paved with hand-polished stone boards. Later in the day, we will go to the Potala Palace, a legendary palace built on a single hill. This palace is Lhasaโ€™s most prominent landmark and a marvel of Eastern architecture. The palace is divided into two parts: the red palace in the center and the white palace on the sides.

  • Day 7 Drive From Lhasa To Shigatse (3900M) (5-6-Hour Drive)

      Drive From Lhasa To Shigatse (3900M) (5-6-Hour Drive)

      Following breakfast, you will drive from Lhasa to Shigatse. First, you will drive over the Gampala Pass (4790m) to get a glimpse of Yamdrok-Tso Lake (4400m). The lake is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and provides stunning views of Holy Mount Nyenchen Khangsar (7191m). It is the highest mountain near Lhasa. 

      Later, youโ€™ll pass by the Korola Glacier on the road. At Manak Dam Lake, you can hang a prayer flag. Then youโ€™ll arrive in Gyantse. Gyantse has historically been Tibetโ€™s third-largest city, following Lhasa and Shigatse. After some time, you will reach Shigatse, Tibetโ€™s second-largest city.

  • Day 8 Sightseeing To Lhasa Via Gyantse

      On the eighth day of the Nepal-Tibet Highlights Tour, you drive back to Lhasa via Gyantse. You can stand on the viewing platform and view the vast Yalong Riverbed. Finally, youโ€™ll reach Lhasa. Upon reaching Lhasa, check in to your hotel and have a rest.

  • Day 9 Lhasa To Kathmandu & Pokhara Flight

      Lhasa To Kathmandu & Pokhara Flight

      Today you will fly from Lhasa to Kathmandu. After you return to Kathmandu, our representative will meet you at the airport. After that, we will arrange you a flight to Pokhara. You will depart for Pokhara, the beautiful and touristic city, after getting a hawkโ€™s-eye view of the capital from above. You will then be taken to your hotel, where you can relax. You can also take a stroll through the streets of Pokhara if you want.

  • Day 10 Pokhara Sightseeing

      Today you will go sightseeing in the beautiful Pokhara. Deviโ€™s Falls is a short drive away. The Pardi Khola, a stream that emerges from Phewa Lake, causes the fall. Deviโ€™s Fall disappears into a mysterious cavern in the ground while producing magnificent sprays. Another attraction is the Seti Gandaki River, which runs through the town. The mineral limestone in the soil gives the river its milky color. In some places, the Seti Gandaki runs completely underground. Several Tibetan settlements near Pokhara sell handicrafts and Tibetan carpets. Afterwards, you will visit Gupteswor Mahadev and the International Mountain Museum.

  • Day 11 Pokhara Sightseeing Ii

      Today, youโ€™ll start with an early drive to Sarangkot. Here, you can capture the cityโ€™s peaceful and magical view before sunrise. The first rays of sunlight on the mountains in the background are spectacular. Sarangkot provides panoramic views of Annapurna, Fishtail, Dhaulagiri, and other mountains. After that, youโ€™ll go boating at Fewa Lake and hike to Peace Stupa. Pokhara Shanti Stupa is a Buddhist pagoda-style monument situated on Anadu Hill in Kaski. The boat ride across Phewa Lake from Pumdi Bhumdi Bay to Phewa Ghat takes up to half an hour. Itโ€™s a great opportunity to see Himalayan peaks reflected in the water. Itโ€™s also a relaxing way to end a hike with a panoramic loop around the World Peace Pagoda.

  • Day 12 Drive To Lumbini (6-7 Hours)

      Today, the driver will take you to Lumbini. You will visit the sacred garden and the Mayadevi temple, which illustrate the birth of Lord Buddha. You will see the Ashoka pillar, which marks the birthplace of the Buddha. You will also see a Sakyan Tank, where Mayadevi, the Buddhaโ€™s mother, is said to have bathed before giving birth to the baby. There are numerous remains of monasteries and chaityas built over the centuries.

  • Day 13 Lumbini Sightseeing And Chitwan Drive

      Today, you will visit Lumbini in the early morning. You will have the opportunity to explore the German Monastery, Chinese Monastery, Thai Monastery, International Nuns, and Golden Temple, each offering unique insights into Buddhism and its cultural significance. The serene monastic zone resonates with the teachings of Lord Buddha, providing a peaceful atmosphere for reflection and learning. Immerse yourself in the diverse cultures represented within the different monastic zones of Lumbini.

      After concluding our sightseeing in Lumbini, you will continue the journey to Chitwan. Upon arrival in Chitwan in the early evening, you will check in at the hotel, where you can unwind and relax after a day of exploration.

  • Day 14 Activities In Chitwan

      Activities In Chitwan

      Today you will embark on an adventure through Chitwanโ€™s jungles. The first activity will be a leisurely walk through the dense greenery, which allows us to immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of the surroundings. Following that, youโ€™ll go on a thrilling jungle safari in a traditional Jeep, deep into the forest, to track down the elusive tiger. Keep your eyes open for sightings of the majestic one-horned rhinoceros, Asian elephant, spotted deer (Chital), barking deer, hog deer, sambar, swamp deer, blackbuck, bull, wild boar, wild dog, leopard, and a variety of other fascinating wildlife species.

      After an exhilarating jungle safari, you will embark on the next adventure, a peaceful canoe trip along the tranquil waters of the Rapti River. As you glide along the river, keep an eye out for a variety of bird species that belong to this ecosystem, adding to the peaceful atmosphere of the canoeing adventure.

  • Day 15 Chitwan โ€“ Kathmandu (6-7 Hours)

      Your trip will come to an end today.
