Itinerary

Day 1: Tirana – Vlora - Llogara National Park

Pass By: Choose Balkans - Albania Tour Operator, Rruga Reshit Çollaku, Tirana, Albania
Our professional tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Tirana at 9:00 am.

Stop At: Vlore, Vlore, Vlore County
We will make a short stop at Vlora where the Adriatic and Ionian Seas meet. At 12:30, you will get some free time on all days of the tour to have some delicious lunch and to wander around by yourself till 14:00 pm.

Stop At: Llogara National Park, Llogara National Park, Vlore County
After lunch, we will begin our trek of the ‘’Caesar Trail’’ which is a warm up for the big hike to Mount Çika tomorrow. This path was used by the Roman Emperor Julius Caesar in 48 B.C.

Day 2: Llogara– Mount Çika – Llogara

Stop At: Llogara National Park, Llogara National Park, Vlore County
We start our hiking adventure early in the morning. Our objective is summiting the top of Mount Çika, 2045m above sea level and the highest peak of South-western Albania. The hike during this day would be an intense one and takes about 3-4 hours one way, requiring a good physical condition and proper hiking outfit. However, the view from the top is a breath-taking corner of the world. Our day will be characterised by imposing mountain peaks blanketed in deep green forests, crystal clear seas fringed by long white beaches inviting you to dive in. After a panoramic picnic lunch, we head back to Llogara National Park.

Day 3: Llogara - St. Andreas Bay

Stop At: Llogara National Park, Llogara National Park, Vlore County
We will wake up early in the morning with an innate sense of wonder and desire to explore more. Our destination will be St. Andreas Bay, considered as a hidden gem of Albania. To reach this hidden beach (only reachable by approximately 6 hours hiking) we will walk through an ancient Caesar’s path. The Path passes through the top of the Karaburun Peninsula reaching from 800m up to 1240m altitudes, where we start our descending trekking to St. Andreas Bay. This is where things get interesting; we will set up a tent camp (equipment will be brought to bay by horse), light up a fire by the beach, wait for the sunset, count the stars and taste wild seafood grilled on the fire.

Day 4: St. Andreas Bay – Karaburun Peninsula – Palasa

Stop At: Llogara National Park, Llogara National Park, Vlore County
There is no better feeling than waking up from the sound of calm waves hitting the shore. After breakfast with a seaside view, we enjoy a final swim in the crystal-clear waters. We pack up our tents and get ready to explore the rest of Karaburun Peninsula by hiking along the southwest coastline. While hiking we will discover empty beaches, isolated old churches and hidden caves used by pirates back in the days. (Optional; travellers whom prefer to explore the coastline to Palasa by boat instead of hiking can do this for 40 Euros/person, 3 pax minimum, from May till September). Palasa beach is considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches of Southern Albania. Free afternoon by the beach.

Day 5: Palasa Beach – Drymades – Tirana

Stop At: Drymades 440 02, Albania
After waking up with an amazing view by the seaside, we start exploring some of the most beautiful hidden rocky beaches between the white roads and Drymades. Our next destination is the balcony of the Albanian Riviera where we enjoy a traditional lunch with a panoramic view. We will arrive in Tirana in the late afternoon.
