      Upon arrival to La Aurora International Airport, driver will take you to the hotel for overnight at Guatemala City.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Lake Atitlan

      After breakfast your guide will meet you at the lobby of Transfer to Lake Atitlan. Optional In this walking tour, you will visit breath taking colonial monuments and find out why this city was the bustling center of the region for the Spaniards. Antigua is among the worldโ€™s best conserved colonial cities in the Americas. It is a magic and captivating small town that makes you feel time might have stopped 300 years ago. From its colonial architecture to its beautiful surroundings; strolling through town on the cobblestone streets, you will experience the splendors of ancient times! A few things you will find are art galleries and exhibits, coffee shops, amazing cuisine, cute little bars and much more.

      Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy the free day to explore the hotel and Panajachel town on your own, or take one of the optional tours to discover Lake Atitlan. Overnight at Lake Atitlan.  Optional Along the shores of Lake Atitlan you may find different towns, each of these villages is named after the twelve apostles. Santiago (St. James), is a village located on the south end, home to Maximon, a pagan saint who drinks moonshine and smoke cigars. Maximon is visited every day by locals, healers and tourists asking for favors.   San Juan la Laguna, famous for its naรฏf art galleries, town murals and natural dyes textiles. This town is set as an example of organization and tourism destination among the highlands. Its beauty and cooperatives have set the perfect village. Enjoy a boat tour visiting the 2 most important villages around the lake. Optional / Extra Guide will take you by boat to Santa Cruz for your kayaking experience. You will be hiking along ancient paths that have been used by the Maya for centuries.  You will see villagers going about their daily life, encounter farmers tending their cony and coffee fields.

      After breakfast, driver will pick you up at the hotel for your transfer to Chichicastenango. On arrival your guide will show you the church which is important and iconic monument for the indigenous and Mayan history itself. If youโ€™re lucky you will also witness special ceremonies and mix of religions. From here the driver will take you to Antigua, one of the worldโ€™s best conserved colonial cities in the Americas. It is a magic and captivating small town that makes you feel time might have stopped 300 years ago. Once in Antigua, enjoy a free afternoon. Overnight at Antigua.

      Breakfast at the hotel. Driver will take you to the mountains of the Ruta de Las Flores, famous for its abundance of wild growing flowers. This region has beautiful panoramic views of the mountain side coffee plantations, lagoons and becoming in a door for all the artistic community, itโ€™s traditional producing of colorful textiles and the artistic murals painted on the walls of the colonial style houses. Afternoon at Leisure  Optional / Extra Coffee Tour Finca El Carmen: You will have the opportunity to learn about coffee shrubs, coffee growing, coffee production and agro-forestry at Finca El Carmen. Your guide will describe each stage of coffee production.

  • Day 6 Day 6: Suchitoto

      Breakfast. 8.00 am - In the morning you will visit the archeological site of Joya de Ceren, which was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1993 for being the only location in the whole Mayan World where you can appreciate the day to day living styles of the popular pre-Columbian inhabitants. After this we travel to San Andres maya site, which was inhabited by Mayans between AD 600 and 900 where you will visit a small onsite museum. Transfer to Suchitoto. Overnight in Suchitoto.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Suchitoto

      Breakfast. 8.30 am guide will pick you up at the hotel. Suchitoto dates back to pre-Columbian times and on the arrival of the Spanish it was one of the areaโ€™s most densely populated by the Pipiles.  Walking through the narrow streets of the city of Suchitoto, learn its history and its conservation by seeing all of the full colonial buildings and cobblestone streets, and visit the cultural treasures of the Church of Santa Lucia on the main plaza, panoramic streets, old houses, and the โ€œtheater of the ruinsโ€. Optional / Extra in the afternoon you can participate in a special workshop. Indigo is a natural dye, which is extracted from the Xiquilite plant. It was a very important element for the Maya people since they used it for magical and religious rituals, for medicinal use, for pottery and for painting. During an Indigo workshop, you will learn all about the process and enjoy designing your own scarf!  Optional Suchitoto is close to Lake Suchitlan, a river that was dammed and formed an ecosystem that offers much ornithological interest for abundance as well as for the variety of species, pelicans, herons and storks. The afternoon you have the option to go around the lake by boat.

      Transfer from Suchitoto to Copan. Arrival to the Colonial City of Copan. In the afternoon Tour to the mystical Mayan ruins, where you will be able to witness the ancient Mayan culture. The ruined citadel and imposing public squares reveal the three main stages of development before the city was abandoned in the early 10th century. Copan with its temples, plazas and terraces, comprises a type of architectural complex among the most characteristic of the Mayan civilization. The lengthy inscription on the Hieroglyphic Stairway Plaza is of considerable historical significance.

      Day at leisure. 

      In the morning optional / extra visit to Macaw Mountain Bird Park & Nature Reserve is an innovative tropical bird reserve located in western Honduras, which by birds that have been rescued and cares for those who are in danger of extinction in the American tropics, and transfer to the Caribbean city of Tela.

  • Day 10 Day 10: Tela

      Breakfast. Departure at 8:00 a.m. from Tela to Punta Sal, it is a 45-minute boat ride. You will have an hour or more to walk around the National Park, with the opportunity to see monkeys, spiders, and butterflies. One or two hours for snorkeling, (equipment included), the rest of the day you can relax and enjoy the beach. The length of the tour is from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Relaxing is guaranteed; you can have a typical lunch at Cocalito Beach.

      Enjoy your day at leisure.   Optional in the afternoon Punta Izopo National Park at the Garifuna Village of Triunfo de La Cruz, it presents to you the mangrove forest, one of the most vital and astounding ecosystems in the world and is now known best in our Crocodile Night Watch tour in the North Coast of Honduras. This excursion involves kayaking through the maze of mangrove creeks and rivers making up the Rรญo Plรกtano and the Rรญo Hicaque Lagoon, located in the core zone of the Park.       This exciting tour gives you the chance to see the crocodiles that inhabit the canals and mangroves. Normally wildlife in mangroves can be seen mostly at sunrise or sunset, so this tour allows you to see more species of birds and the excitement of sighting crocodiles. You can have a typical dinner by the Garifuna village beach.
