      Embark on your journey from Athens, and your first stop is Corinth, a city that beautifully blends the ancient and the modern. Explore its archaeological sites, including the Acrocorinth and the Temple of Apollo.

      Continue your adventure towards Epidaurus, celebrated for its ancient theater renowned for its exceptional acoustics. This historical gem offers a captivating glimpse into Greeceโ€™s rich cultural heritage. The theater is situated close to Asclepius Sanctuary, one of the most sacred temples in ancient Greece dedicated to the god of healing.

      We continue our journey towards Nafplio. Nafplio is a lovely seaside town. It was the former capital of Greece, before Athens became a major city.

      Continue towards Mycenae, one of the most thriving towns of ancient Greece. It was the most important city of the Mycenaean civilization between 1600 and 1100 BC.  This UNESCO World Heritage Site is best known for being the former home of King Agamemnon. Discover the Treasury of Atreus or Tomb of Agamemnon, the large โ€œtholosโ€ tomb, a marvelous 14th century BC structure and stroll through the Lion Gate, standing strong against the withering of time. Then depart for Olympia through Central Peloponnese and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis. Arrive at Olympia, cradle of the ancient Olympic Games. Enjoy dinner at your hotel.

      Leaving behind us Olympia we head towards Rion. Passing through Patras, Greeceโ€™s Gate to the West, we will catch our breath as we reach the โ€œstate of the artโ€ award-winning suspended bridge connecting to Antirion. As we drive by the city of Nafpaktos, we will follow the scenic coastal road to the omphalos or โ€œnavel of the earthโ€, according to Ancient Greeks, Arrive in Delphi. Enjoy dinner at your hotel.

      Visit Edessa, often referred to as the โ€™City of Water,โ€™ is situated in the vicinity of the bustling metropolis of Thessaloniki. Here youโ€™ll be introduced to the force that once powered looms and mills of Edessaโ€™s industrial heritage.

      Head towards Naoussa, you will find the famous Macedonian tombs of Lefkadia with some of the finest examples of Hellenistic painting. Drive towards the ancient site of Aigai (or โ€˜goatsโ€™), the curiously named first capital of the kingdom of Macedon, lies on the southwest edge of the plain of Macedonia in northern Greece.

      Next visit Veria, nestled on the slopes of mountain Vermion a region with a rich history. It was a significant place for early Christianity, with St. Paul preaching here in the 1st century AD, at a historical monument called the Bema, which remains a Christian landmark. Your journey continues to Thessaloniki for an overnight stay.

       Drive towards Pella, the birthplace of Alexander the great, one of Greeceโ€™s most important archaeological sites and your gateway to dramatic mountain scenery.

      Walking amidst the statues and monuments of Dion feels almost spiritual.

      Also, The museum (500m away) with objects and statues unearthed during the digs, including a hydraulic โ€“ a 1st-century BC pipe instrument that is the oldest of its kind ever found.

      As we leave the mountain of the Gods, letโ€™s not forget the legendary Battle of Thermopylae in 480 BCE, an enduring symbol of courage. On our journey back to Athens, weโ€™ll pass by the monument of King Leonidas, the great Spartan leader, in Thermopylae, will grace our path on our way back to Athens in the late afternoon.
