This tour includes:

Accommodation

All accommodations throughout your trip. Accommodations are shared, separated by gender. Youโ€™ll be staying in 4 separate accommodations throughout your trip.

Guide

All staff are certified in Wilderness First-Aid and CPR, and trained in Risk Management, Outdoor Leadership & Teamwork, Wilderness Skills & Decision-making, and Cultural Awareness. We also employ local guides in each of our destinations, who act as a critical link between our volunteers and the communities we empower.

Transport

GIVE provides all transportation while in on your program. Once you land at your destination and meet with your group, all transportation will be planned for you!

Meals

Our experienced, local chefs take pride in providing our volunteers with three meals a day, as well as introducing them to the local cuisine and culture of the region. Meals are filling, healthy, and delicious. We can accommodate dietary restrictions as well.

Not included:

Flights

We have participants from all over the world, so flights are not included in the GIVE program cost. GIVE provides dedicated flight agents to organize the best flight options at competitive rates to your destination. We offer group itineraries so volunteers arrive together. Depending on your departure city, you may even have other GIVE volunteers on your flight during your entire travel time to your destination!

Insurance

All GIVE volunteers must have Travelers Insurance. This will provide coverage for trip cancellation, trip interruption, lost or stolen items, baggage claims, 24-hour medical evacuation, and more, which will put your mind at ease. You can purchase easily through our trusted providers at CSA/Generali.

  • Day 2 Orientation And Adventure

      Travel through the epic vistas of the Costa Rica highlands, passing lakes and volcanoes to reach the incredible Cloud Forest. Spend the afternoon zip-lining through the canopy and enter the jungle for a night safari to see sloths, dart frogs, and other amazing creatures of the forest.

      Start the day with a beautiful waterfall before continuing your journey south to the Caribbean coast.

  • Day 4 Volunteer Work

      Settle into your new jungle home amongst howler monkeys and dart frogs in the heart of a primary forest. Here, you will help ensure food security for indigenous communities while learning how to sustainably farm in harmony with the forest. Experience the deep connection local tribes have with the jungle and even spend a night camping under trees as wide as houses. Visit a jaguar rescue center and stunning beaches where youโ€™ll soak in the rasta vibes of the Caribbean.

      Costa Rica boasts some of the best white water rafting in the world! Spend 2 days battling class III-IV rapids while winding through deep canyons and spending the night camped on the Pacuare river.
