CITY HALL AND THE ROYAL WARSHIP VASA (3hrs)(65 EUR) We will visit the interior of Stockholm City Hall. We will have the chance to visit the rooms where the plenary sessions are held, including the room where they hold the banquet and the ballroom dance after the Nobel prize ceremony. Afterwards, we will visit one of the warships which were retrieved after being 333 years dwelling at the sea bottom and which reminds us of the power the Swedish Empire once had. - Bus service. - Admission to the City Hall and the Royal Warship Vasa. - Local guide.. 10 number of people required.

      Welcome to your tour with Europamundo! Weโ€™ll transfer you to the hotel and youโ€™ll have some free time. In the afternoon, youโ€™ll find information about the start of your tour on the boards located at the hotel reception.

      Weโ€™ll start the day with a panoramic tour of Warsaw with a local guide. Home to nearly two million people, this political and economic hub of Poland boasts a blend of modern architecture and meticulously restored historic buildings. Weโ€™ll stroll through the charming Old Town, featuring many old buildings, the Royal Palace, and cobbled streets, all restored after their destruction in World War II and now declared a World Heritage Site. Weโ€™ll visit the Palace of Culture, a skyscraper gifted by the Soviet Union, reflect on the history of what was once the largest Jewish ghetto in Europe, and wander through Lazienki Park, home to the Chopin Monument.Youโ€™ll have free time in the afternoon to visit museums, such as the National Museum and the Warsaw Rising Museum, or to explore the lively city center filled with shops and activities.

      After breakfast, weโ€™ll depart for northern Poland. Our first stop will be Olsztynek, where weโ€™ll visit the open-air Museum of Folk Architecture (admission included). Here, you can admire wooden houses, old mills, and a traditional church, making it feel like youโ€™ve stepped back in time! Weโ€™ll then continue to the Elblag Canal, the longest navigable canal in Poland, where weโ€™ll visit a museum located in an area where boats are hauled over land on rails to navigate elevation changes. Next, weโ€™ll head to Malbork to visit its impressive castle (admission included, green route), one of the largest medieval castles in Europe, built in the 13th century by the Teutonic Order and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Weโ€™ll arrive in Gdanskโ€”formerly known as Danzigโ€”in the evening. The historic center is stunning and lively, and we highly recommend an evening stroll to experience its vibrant atmosphere.

      After breakfast, weโ€™ll join our guide for a visit to the European Solidarity Centre, a striking contemporary building that commemorates the history of the Solidarity movement, which played a pivotal role in the fall of the Soviet Union. Highlights include the monument dedicated to the fallen workers. Next, weโ€™ll include admission to the Museum of the Second World War. This impressive museum, opened in 2017, serves as a powerful reminder of the 3 to 6 million people who lost their lives in Poland during that tragic conflict. Afterward, weโ€™ll have some time to explore the historic center before heading to Sopot, a charming seaside resort on the Baltic Sea. Known for its vibrant atmosphere, Sopot features a long sandy beach and one of Europeโ€™s longest wooden piers, offering stunning views of the sea. In the evening, weโ€™ll board a modern ferry (cruise-style) for our journey to Sweden. The scheduled departure is at 07:30 p.m., with overnight accommodations in cabins. Breakfast will be included.

      After a pleasant journey, our ferry will arrive in Karlskrona in southern Sweden around 06:30 a.m. Weโ€™ll continue to Stockholm, with a stop in Vรคstervik, a charming seaside town with a picturesque historic center. In the afternoon, weโ€™ll arrive in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, a beautiful city spread across fourteen islands in the Baltic Sea archipelago, connected by numerous bridges and ferries. Stockholm is renowned for its rich history, stunning architecture, and its blend of modernity and tradition. The afternoon is yours to enjoy. We recommend taking a stroll through the historic center and visiting its museums and parks.

      Today weโ€™ll embark on a panoramic tour of this beautiful capital city, built on 14 interconnected islands. Weโ€™ll visit Gamla Stan, also known as the โ€œthe city between bridgesโ€, the lively old quarter filled with monumental buildings such as the Nobel Prize Museum, located right beside the main square of Stortorget which honors Nobel Prize winners, the Cathedral, and the Royal Palace. Whenever possible, weโ€™ll enjoy the stunning views from the Fjรคllgatan viewpoint. Afterwards, youโ€™ll have leisure time to explore. We recommend visiting the museums and parks. Optionally, you can visit the City Hall and the Vasa Museum.

      As we arrive in Finland, we recommend heading to the shipโ€™s deck for sunrise to enjoy the mesmerizing landscapes as we sail past the ร…land Islands, a collection of hundreds of forested islands. After disembarking the ferry, youโ€™ll have time to explore Turku, a city with a strong Swedish influence. Weโ€™ll then continue our journey to the neighboring city of Naantali, a picturesque town with charming wooden houses by the sea. Our travels will take us to Helsinki, where weโ€™ll arrive around lunchtime. In the afternoon, youโ€™ll have leisure time to explore the city, including its old market, Russian-influenced buildings, and beautiful churches.

      Weโ€™ll embark on an included boat trip to the Suomenlinna Islands, six islands home to a magnificent fortress that once protected the cityโ€™s entrance and is now a World Heritage Site. Take some time to explore, crossing the islands via pedestrian bridges. In the afternoon, weโ€™ll board a ferry to Estonia, a journey of about 2 hours and 30 minutes. As we depart from Helsinki, youโ€™ll enjoy stunning views of the surrounding islands. In the evening, weโ€™ll arrive in Tallinn.

      The capital of Estonia is a wonderful city that has preserved its medieval core intact. Youยดll enjoy a panoramic tour of the city, its walls, churches, squares, and its medieval streets filled with tourist attractions. Free time in the afternoon.

      Weโ€™ll travel through forests and plains to reach Parnu, a popular seaside resort. From there, weโ€™ll continue to Latvia. You can enjoy an included lunch just before visiting the medieval Turaida Castle (admission included) surrounded by a large park with sculptures. Next, you can take a walk in Sigulda, a small and charming town situated amidst a beautiful landscape. Our journey will continue towards Riga, with a stop at the Salaspils Memorial, located at the site of a former concentration camp from the Nazi period. Since 1967, it has been one of the largest monumental complexes in Europe, commemorating the victims of this regime. Weโ€™ll arrive in Riga in the evening.

      Youโ€™ll enjoy an included panoramic tour of this capital, the most populous city in the Baltic states, where traces of the Soviet era are still visible. Riga is renowned not only for its cultural center but also for its medieval Historic Center and Art Nouveau architecture. The afternoon will be free for you to explore at your leisure.

      Weโ€™ll depart for Lithuania early in the morning. On our way there, weโ€™ll visit the Baroque Palace of Rundale, built by the same architect who designed the Saint Petersburgโ€™s Hermitage Museum. Weโ€™ll cross over into Lithuania. This country has a strong Catholic influence, highlighted by the impressive Hill of Crosses, with thousands of crosses of all sizes. Lunch will be included along our route. Afterwards, weโ€™ll visit Trakai, a gorgeous castle located on an island in a lake, close to Vilnius. Weโ€™ll finish the day in Vilnius.Note: Depending on the duration of daylight, the visit to Trakai may take place on Wednesday after exploring the city.

      Weโ€™ll continue our journey to Poland. Our first stop will be Grutas Park, also known as โ€œStalinโ€™s World,โ€ which features 86 statues from the Soviet era. Weโ€™ll then stop for lunch in the charming lakeside town of Augustรณw. Afterward, weโ€™ll head to central Poland, arriving in Warsaw by the end of the day.Our journey will come to an end, leaving you with wonderful and lasting memories.Please, check the time of your flight in case you might need an additional night.
