One of the most spiritual places in India, the Golden Temple, also known as Sri Harmandir Sahib, is the holiest shrine in all of Sikhism. Located right in the heart of Amritsar, the stunning golden architecture of the temple and the daily Langar (community kitchen) attract a large number of visitors and devotees each day. Also visit the community kitchen and witness the seva done by the locals and pilgrims.

Jallianwalah Bagh, this poignant park commemorates the 1500 Indians killed or wounded when a British officer ordered his soldiers to shoot unarmed protesters in 1919. Some of the bullet holes are still visible in the walls, as is the well into which hundreds desperately leapt to avoid the bullets. Thereโ€™s an eternal flame of remembrance, an exhibition telling stories of victims, and a Martyrsโ€™ Gallery, with portraits of independence heroes.

Heritage walk is a guided tour deep inside the narrow lanes and Bye lanes of the 400-year-old city of amritsar. One gets to see Katras, Akharas Bungas, Havelis, and Hatties. The walk takes you back in the time as you witness town planning traditional trade and crafts being Practiced in the same place and in the same manner as has been done for centuries. It is in however, the famous intricately carved wooden facades that will mesmerize you This walk is an opportunity to feel part of this beautiful, sacred, vibrating city.

Located at a distance of 22 km from Lahore, Pakistan and 28 km from Amritsar in India, the Wagah Border marks the boundaries between Indian and Pakistani borders, running along the Grand Trunk Road. The Wagah Border Ceremony or the Beating Retreat Ceremony, held every day, is the prime attraction. Every evening, just before sunset, the soldiers from the Indian and Pakistan military meet at this border post to engage in a 30-minute display of military camaraderie and showmanship.

Return to the hotel for short rest and then drive to Wagah Border for beating retreat ceremony.
