  • Day 1 Day 1

      Day 1

      The trip will start from Dushanbe, usually at 8:30am. 

      First station on road to Kalaikhum will be Norak water reservoir. In Kulob city will be a lunch in local restaurant. On the road to Kulob there is a huge fortress belonging to 13 centuries.

      Overnight will be in Kalaikhum.

      Day 2

      The road will lie along Afghan border. 

      The trip will start at 8:30AM. First we will visit historical settlement Karon in Darvaz district. Then in Rushon district we will stop in Panj riverbank with a beautifull view to Afghanistan side of Pamir. Lunch will be in local restaurant. After a lunch we will drive to Khorog city. In Khorog city we will visit oldest pamirian house, local bazaar, highest botanical garden and souvenir shop.

      Day 3

      Situated in in the heart of Asia, the Pamirs are a corner of sky-scraping, snow-capped, majestic mountains, transparent clear blue waters of lakes and rivers, wide valleys and bone-dry deserts. For hundreds of years, people have called these highest mountains of the world as โ€œthe Roof of the Worldโ€. Today you will understand why. The land of Pamirs is located at elevations from 3 500 to 4 200 meters above sea level. Pamirs is perhaps one the few areas in Central Asia where ancient ethnic and cultural peculiarities of the Pamir people exist. Over the years, communities were isolated from each other by impassable mountain ranges, and developed into separate enclaves with different dialects and sometimes distinct or different languages. Dinner and night is in a home stay.

      Day 4

      The most beautiful lakes of the Pamirs are Yashil Kul and Bulunkul (Blue lakes), stretched on the altitude of 3 700 meters above sea level, are situated in the Murghab district. Today we will spend a night near them. The color of water in Bulunkul is a subtle inter-play of violet and dark-blue in the sunlight. Species of fish like are found in abundance in the lake. There is the opportunity to see yaks, a unique species of domestic animals, sharing features of cow and sheep, traditionally used as a beast of burden apart from giving milk and meat products. On the way to the lake you will drive over Khargush pass (4 344 m). Dinner and night is in a guesthouse.

      Day 5

      Today We will drive to Khorog city. On the road to Derzud we will pass Kuitezak pass. It is one of the coldest place of Tajikistan. In 1962 there was recorded the lowest temperature of the weather. It was -63 celcium.

      Day 6

      We are on the backroad to Dushanbe. After 8 hour of driving, overnight will be in Qalaikhum village.

      Day 7

      In early morning at 8:00 AM we will drive back to Dushanbe.

      This day is the last day of the trip.
