      Check-in at the pier "Arturo Prat" in Punta Arenas from 1pm to 5pm. Embarkation takes place at 6 pm. Followed by a welcome cocktail on board and departure from the port of Punta Arenas. You begin your journey through the legendary Strait of Magellan to one of the most pristine and untouched regions on earth: Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego at the southern tip of the American continent. In the evening, take part in the lectures given by the expedition team, who will provide you with a wealth of information about the flora and fauna of the following dayโ€™s excursions. 4 nights on board the Ventus Australis (upper middle class).   • Day 2 Day 2: Ainsworth Bay - Tucker Island

      At dawn, the ship sails through Almirantazgo Sound to Ainsworth Bay, where you go ashore with a view of the Marinelli Glacier in the distance, which lies in the middle of the Alberto de Agostini National Park. Here you can see how quickly life returns after the eternal ice sheet has disappeared. With a bit of luck, you might spot a colony of elephant seals. Hike through the untouched Magellanic jungle. Followed by a dinghy trip around Tucker Island, where you will explore a colony of Magellanic penguins and a large colony of cormorants. You will often be accompanied by curious dolphins and sea lions. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner).

      Today your ship cruises along the north-eastern arm of the Beagle Channel and enters Pia Bay, where a shore excursion at the glacier of the same name is on the program. Excursion to a viewpoint that offers you a unique panoramic view of one of the most beautiful glaciers in the Darwin Cordillera. Afterwards, cruise through the northwest arm of the Beagle Channel with a view of the impressive "Avenue of Glaciers", a narrow fjord with a multitude of glaciers on both sides.       Through the Murray Channel you reach Wulaia Bay, an ancient settlement of the Yamana people of great archaeological value. Charles Darwin went ashore here on his 1833 voyage around the world on board the MS Beagle. Hike through the Magellanic jungle with its lenga, coihue and canelo trees as well as numerous ferns and other species to a viewpoint. This afternoon is one of the highlights of this cruise. Shore leave at Cape Horn National Park, "Cabo de Hornos", the southern end of the archipelago where the Pacific and Atlantic meet. Admire the Cape Horn Monument, which in its stylized form represents the legendary albatross, as well as the famous lighthouse. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner).

      Arrival in Ushuaia, the most important Argentine settlement on Tierra del Fuego and the southernmost city in the world. Tierra del Fuego, the largest island in the region, got its name from Magellanโ€™s sailors, who saw the pillars of smoke from the fires of the Yamana Indians on its shores.
