  • Day 1 Day 1: Arrival โ€“ Dakar

      Day 1: Arrival โ€“ Dakar

      Arrival at the International Airport of Diass. After formalities, weโ€™ll transfer in a private airconditioned car to our hotel. Overnight. 

  • Day 2 Day 2: Dakar โ€“ Goree โ€“ Dakar

      Day 2: Dakar โ€“ Goree โ€“ Dakar

      Breakfast, we begin a city tour of Dakar, the Senegalese capital. Weโ€™ll make a visit that will

      permit us to discover the colonialโ€™s remains of what was the capital of French Africa: the

      Presidential palace, the Independence Place, the chamber of commerceโ€ฆ.. Transfer to the

      harbor where we will board a ferry to visit Gorรฉe Island (20 minutes away from Dakar).

      Gorรฉe is an island of 300m wide and 900m long which was the stake of numerous

      confrontations between the Portuguese, English, Dutch, and French. Hundreds of thousands

      of men, women, and children were deported from Gorรฉe. The ยซ slavesโ€™ house ยป with its door

      opened on the ocean is a terrible reminder of the cruelty of men towards men. Come back to

      our hotel in Dakar, overnight

  • Day 3 Day 3: Dakarโ€“ Pink Lake โ€“ Saint-Louis

      After breakfast, we follow up to the famous Pink Lake: a stretch of pink water with a high

      level of salinity. There we have the opportunity to see how women of surrounding villages

      extract salt from the lake, this lake which is the arrival point of the Paris-Dakar. After lunch,

      we continue towards Saint-Louis, a city presumed to be the first European town of all West

      Africa. This colonial city offers to us the remains of its glorious past. Dinner and overnight in

      our hotel 

  • Day 4 Day 4: St Louis โ€“ Djoudj / Langue De Barbarie โ€“ City Tour
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 4: St Louis โ€“ Djoudj / Langue De Barbarie โ€“ City Tour

      OPTION 1: (from November to April) Breakfast. Departure towards the north. 60 km

      later, arrival to the National Park of Djoudj where weโ€™ll take a motorized canoe to go 

      through the River Senegal. This ornithological park is the third most important one in

      the world. Itโ€™s an ecological area of vital importance for the fauna of the region. Three

      million birds of all kind, transit between November and May by this natural sanctuary.

      OPTION 2: (all the year) after the breakfast, departure to Gandiole, where a

      motorized canoe waits for us to make a cruise in the ornithological reserve of Barbarie. This

      site welcomes a large variety of migratory birds and hosts different types of trees.

      Back to St-Louis, we can take our Lunch (at your charge) in a restaurant on the island. After a

      little rest, we will visit the colonial district and the popular one also called fisherโ€™ district, by a

      horse-cart. Riding along its narrow streets bordered by colonial houses is like living in

      another century. Dinner and overnight. 

  • Day 5 Day 5: St Louis - Lompoul

      Breakfast. Morning free, to stroll in the streets of Saint-Louis Island or along Hydrobase

      beach. Not included lunch. In the afternoon we go to Lompoul desert - dunes of 25 - 30m-.

      Arrival to the desert and installation in our lodge; you will have the possibility of doing small

      trekking across the dunes admiring the beautiful sunset. Dinner and overnight in a khaima

      camp. 

  • Day 6 Day 6: Lompoul - Touba-Kaolack-Sine Saloum
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 6: Lompoul - Touba-Kaolack-Sine Saloum

      After breakfast in the desert, we will have free time to realize a stroll on a camel. After that,

      our trip goes on to the sacred city of Touba. This Senegalese "mecca" is the main sanctuary

      for the followers of the Muridism, the branch of the Islam that is one of the most important in

      the country. The marabout, spiritual leader, lives in this original city built around the huge

      mosque with its splendid minaret. From there, we continue to Kaolack for lunch (at your

      charge). Continuation to Toubacouta where is located our hotel, Dinner and overnight. 

  • Day 7 Day 7: Fathala Park & Cruise Saloum River

      Day 7: Fathala Park & Cruise Saloum River

      Breakfast. Today we enjoy a typical African bush experience in an open game viewing vehicle

      on a guided sunrise game drive through the reserve. See family herds of the rare West African

      Giant Derby Eland โ€“ only found in this part of the world - and visit the breeding camp. Other

      antelope species such as roan, waterbuck, and bushbuck can also be viewed, as well as

      giraffes, rhino, buffalo, warthog, red colobus, green vervet and red patas monkeys as well as 

      exquisitely colored bird species amongst the giant African mahogany trees. Enjoy morning

      coffee sundowners and snacks next to the waterhole as you experience a magnificent African

      sunrise. Binoculars are advised as animals and bird sightings are not always close by. In the

      afternoon after a little rest, weโ€™ll experience a sunset cruise in the birdโ€™s islands located in

      Saloum River. The delta, where Sine and Saloum come together, is a labyrinth of small

      islands. We can enjoy a lovely cruise into the mangrove creek. After the cruise, back to our

      hotel. Dinner and overnight. 

  • Day 8 Day 8: Sine Saloum โ€“ Mbour โ€“ Airport
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 8: Sine Saloum โ€“ Mbour โ€“ Airport

      Breakfast. Depart to Dakar. Weโ€™ll make some stops en route to visit local populations. Arrival

      in โ€œLa Petite Cรดteโ€ and we go directly tour hotel for day use. Youโ€™ll have the possibility to

      take bath and to arrange your luggage before departure to the airport. At the appropriate hour,

      transfer to the airport. End of our services.
