Fly To Gobi Desert & Bayanzag (Flaming Cliffs) Sightseeing

Welcome to take our Mongolia private tour with daily departure, which can be tailored to meet your individual interests. You will enjoy a more personalized experience as the trip is only for your private party, with no other people.

In the early morning, you will be transferred to the Ulaanbaatar airport for the morning flight to the Gobi Desert. Upon arrival, your local Gobi tour guide will meet you and take you to the Bayanzag, famous for the first discovery of fossilized dinosaurs. The red tall hillocks, formed as a result of wind and water erosion, are also famous here. The fire-like looing in the middle of the desert from distance attracts lots of tourists.

When you arrive at Ger camp, you will watch an interesting video about how Roy Chapman Andrews and the American expedition discovered the first dinosaur eggs from Bayanzag and transferred dinosaur skeletons on the camelback through the Gobi Desert. Then you will take a 5-minute drive to the Flaming cliffs and wander on the red hillocks. After the visits, you will be escorted back to ger camp.

Day 2 Khongor Sand Dunes Sightseeing

Khongor Sand Dunes Sightseeing

After breakfast, you will be escorted west to the extraordinary Khongor Sand Dunes. This is one of the most scenic areas of Gobi. The dunes rise abruptly from the plain, in some places reaching a height of 300 meters, and extend over an area between 2-12 km in width and 180 km in length. Upon arrival, you will first have lunch and relax at cozy Ger camp until Gobi hot temperature decreases.

In the evening, you will visit a camel herder family in their Ger, and explore their unique nomadic lifestyle. It is also a nice chance to try Hormog, the fermented Mongolian camel milk.

Afterward, you will hike and climb up to the Singing Dune, one of the highest dunes. From the top of the sand dunes, the view of the desert is awesome and amazing sunshine panorama of sand dunes. When it is windy some of the dunes give a strange sound like the engines of an aero plane, for which they are named the “singing dunes”. The Khongoryn River flows along the sand dunes and gives birth to oases.

Day 3 Yol Valley Sightseeing

Yol Valley Sightseeing

After breakfast, you will be taken to visit Yol valley, also known as Eagle Valley. It is situated in the Gobi Gurvansaikhan Mountains. This valley is originally established to conserve birdlife in the region. But it’s now more famous for its dramatic scenery in the middle of the Gobi Desert with a meter’s thick ice almost all year round, except late summer.

After lunch at a local restaurant at Bayandalai village, you will be driven through Dungenee Canyon and reach the Yol valley. There you will do hiking through grassy meadows, small streams, long and narrow valley sheltered by high cliff walls, sunlight bouncing off amazing rocks covered with wildflowers and Gobi plants. If you are lucky, you could spot wild sheep and goat, grazing high on the cliff walls.

After you visit and explore the national park, a one-hour drive will take you to the Dalanzadgad town and transfer to the Khan Uul Hotel. Dinner is at the restaurant in your Hotel.

Day 4 Fly Back To Ulaanbaatar

In the early morning, you will be transferred to the local airport for a morning flight to Ulaanbaatar. On arrival, you will be picked up and escorted back to your hotel in Ulaanbaatar. We wish you have enjoyed a memorable trip!
