      Individual Arrival To Colliure

Individual arrival (a transfer from Girona or Barcelona airport can be organized) to Colliure, the picturesque French border town and fishing village. It has been known as an artistsโ€™ village since Henri Matisse, Picasso, Braque and many others were lured here by the special light and intense colors. Today, reproductions of their works and their creative guestbook entries in a restaurant remind us of the artists and their time... and painters from all over the world still seek out the unusual light in Colliure.

Port-Vendres impresses with its lively fishing port. Climb up to the lighthouse - a fantastic coastal panorama awaits you! The fact that you are in a border region can only be recognized by the bunkers from the Second World War. • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Port De La Selva - Cadaquรฉs (18 Km)

There are few regions in the Mediterranean that offer a landscape as wild and fascinating as the one you will hike through on todayโ€™s stage. These are the foothills of the Pyrenees with their unique rock formations created 450 million years ago. Spectacular caves and an equally impressive cliff face will make you not want to end the trail. You will hike through the Cap de Creus nature park and reach the lighthouse, which has guided sailors since Roman times. This archaic and magical lunar landscape, the view of the sea and the cries of the seagulls evoke a feeling of freedom.

You walk past Salvador Dalรญโ€™s summer house in Portlligat (visit only possible with a long-term reservation) and reach Cadaquรฉs.

An optional cab service can be booked from the Cap de Creus lighthouse - so you can indulge in the pleasures of swimming in the beautiful, secluded bays!

You will then hike along the coast through the typically picturesque landscapes of the Costa Brava. This is where the inhabitants settled in the 18th century, when the fear of piracy had diminished. • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Torroella De Montgrรญ - Platja De Pals - Begur (14 Km)

Today you leave the hinterland and return to the long beaches of Pals, first along the Ter to its mouth opposite the Illes Medes - a protected group of islands off the coast. The secluded natural beach of Pals stretches for a long time to Punta Espinuda, from here the hiking trail leads along the cliffs and rocky, jagged coastline, beautiful bays and crystal-clear water.

  • Day 12 Begur - Tamariu - Calella De Palafrugell (14 Km)
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Begur - Tamariu - Calella De Palafrugell (14 Km)

From Begur, you walk to the bay of Tamariu, which has been used as a port of call by sailors since time immemorial. The small, pleasant bay invites you to linger. The hiking trail continues to Calella de Palafrugell, one of the most beautiful towns on the coast, nicknamed the "Catalan capital of the Havanners".

Many people from the Costa Brava emigrated to the former Spanish colony of Cuba and settled in La Havana, where the colonial trade made them rich. After Cubaโ€™s independence at the end of the 19th century, the former Spaniards returned to the Costa Brava and settled in Calella de Palafrugell. Every year on the first weekend in July, the "Cantada de Habaneras" is celebrated - the fishermen sing old Cuban songs in memory of their Cuban roots.

Hotel accommodation for 1 night in Calella de Palafrugell.

  • Day 13 Calella De Palafrugell - Platja De Castell - Palamรณs (12 Km)
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Calella De Palafrugell - Platja De Castell - Palamรณs (12 Km)

Once again, the hiking trail takes you along the coast. You first walk to Platja de Castell, with its paradisiacal bay and white sandy beach. Thanks to a referendum in 1994, any urbanization was prevented here. There is hardly a place on the Mediterranean that has been able to preserve its unspoiled nature like the bay of Castell.

You then walk on to Palamรณs, one of the oldest towns on the Costa Brava. It is home to the third largest port in Catalonia and has been an important trading and fishing town since time immemorial. It is worth visiting the fishing museum and the fish market, which is supplied with fresh catch twice a day: the "night catch" in the morning and the "day catch" in the afternoon.

Hotel accommodation for 1 night in Palamรณs.

  • Day 14 Palamรณs - Platja Dโ€™Aro - Sant Feliu De Guรญxols (14 Km)
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Palamรณs - Platja Dโ€™Aro - Sant Feliu De Guรญxols (14 Km)

From Palamรณs, you walk directly along the coast across the bay of dโ€™Aro to Sant Feliu de Guรญxols.

Although this is a highly urbanized area, you will be captivated by the beauty of the many small bays and the contrasts in colour along the GR92 hiking trail, which runs directly along the sea. Sant Feliu de Guรญxols, located at the foot of the red stone Lโ€™Ardenya massif, is connected to the Via Verdes system (hiking trails on disused railroad lines). Every year in July and August, the international theater, dance and music festival Porta Ferrada takes place here, which is very popular.

Hotel accommodation for 1 night in Sant Feliu de Guรญxols.
