  • Day 1 Airport -Pinnawala -Sigiriya
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Airport -Pinnawala -Sigiriya

      Warmly welcomed by our airport representative. Will drive to Habarana. En route visit Pinnawla elephant orphanage.

      Travel time: 3 hours 30 minutes 

      Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage 

      The Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is one of the most popular excursions and tourist destinations since its inception back in 1975. Itโ€™s a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with the elephants, which makes for a memorable experience.

         

      Reach to Sigiriya and check in to the hotel.

      In the evening leave  at 1700 climb to Pidurangala rock for a breathtaking view of Sigiriya and the sunset.

  • Day 2 Sigiriya-Polonnaruwa

      Sigiriya-Polonnaruwa

      Early morning leave at 0600 explore Sigiriya Rock.

      Sigiriya- It was named as the eighth wonder of ancient world, a rock fortress of Sri Lanka. The entrance looks like the mouth of a lion, it stands tall even today reminding of ancient wonder. There are frescoes you can see inside the mighty rock. Sigiriya today is a UNESCO listed world heritage site.

        

      Return to hotel and breakfast .Leave at 1000 drive to Polonnaruwa.

      Lunch at Polonnaruwa and explore Polonnaruwa city.

      The second ancient of Sri Lankas kingdoms, today the city of Polonnaruwa remains one of the best planned archeological relic sites in the country. Its green environment, amazing ancient constructions (including a huge lake built in 1200a.d.), and its warm, friendly people make it an attractive city to visit. This was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage site.  Return to hotel and overnight stay at Habarana.


  • Day 3 Sigiriya-Anuradhapura

      Breakfast .Leave at 0900 to Anuradhapura. Travel time 2 hrs .

      On the away visit to Aukuna Statue-Optional only 

      Aukuna is known for the finely sculptured 12 m high statue of the Lord Buddha which is carved out of a rock face. The statue is believed to be built during the 5th century during the reign of King Dhatusena. The statue stands tall next to the Kala Wewa (Tank). This statue of the Lord Buddha is sculpted in the asisa mudra (The blessing position), which is unconventional for Sri Lanka. In this position the Lord Buddha holds his right hand up turned sideways. โ€™Aukanaโ€™ means โ€™sun eatingโ€™ and the best time to view the statue is during the break of dawn. 


      Anuradhapura, Sri Lankaโ€™s sacred ancient city, surrounded by 3 great man-made lakes, is a treat for the Wanderers. Walk down history whilst you explore the city which at the height of its glory, ranked beside Nineveh and Babylon in its colossal proportions. The monumental dagobas, Jetavana Dagoba, Abayagiry Stupa and the Ruwwanveli Seya are amongst the greatest architectural feats of its age, and have been surpassed only in scale by the great pyramids of Khufru & Khafra at Gizah.

  • Day 4 Sigiriya-Dambulla-Kandy

      Sigiriya-Dambulla-Kandy

      Breakfast. Leave at 0900 to Kandy. Travel time 2 hrs 30 min En route visit Dambulla cave temple & Spice garden.

      The Golden Cave Temple is the largest and the best preserved temple that dates back to the 5th and to the 13th century has over 150 Buddha statues and Buddhist mural painting cover this 2000sq meter area. This is a UNESCO world heritage site.

         

      Spice Garden

      Enjoy Sri Lankaโ€™s world renowned spices at their source. Visit a spice garden, where aroma of cinnamon, pepper, cardamom, nutmeg and mace overwhelm the senses and the visitors are provided an insight into an age old industry of spice production, which attracted many European and Asian merchants to the ports of ancient Sri Lanka.

         

      Reach to Kandy and check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at Kandy.     


  • Day 5 Kandy-Ramboda-Nuwaraeliya

      Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is the most prominent Buddhist temple in the country, it is located in the Royal Palace Complex of the former Kingdom.

                                      

      Guest should be dressed covering knees and shoulders in a respectful manner.

  • Day 6 Nuwaraeliya-Ella By Train

      Nuwaraeliya-Ella By Train

      Nuwaraeliya is also called โ€œThe Little Englandโ€, the structures have a British touch here.

          

      After breakfast, visit to Nuwaraeliya city before drive to Nanu Oya rail station.                                            

      The train ride (4hr) from Nanu Oya to Ella is undoubtedly one of the most scenic train rides in the world. Magnificent views of the tea plantation, forests and mountains are something you should not miss.   

         

      *Train tickets needs to be booked in advance.      

      On arrival at Ella you will be picked up by our driver and proceed to Ella hotel.

  • Day 7 Ella

      Sunrise in Ella is worth an early wake up!

      Ella is full of amazing things to do, from hiking the green mountain peaks to, bathing in refreshing waterfalls. The town itself has a bustling atmosphere, with plenty of exciting cafes and bars to enjoy.

      These are some of the top things to do while youโ€™re in Ella.

      •   Climb up Little Adamโ€™s Peak to view sunrise/sunset
      •   Walk on the railway track to Nine Arches Bridge 
      •   Flying Ravana Zip Line(optional)
      •   Take a refreshing bath at Ravana Falls

       *Any of these activities can be done on the first day.

  • Day 8 Ella-Yala National Park

      Breakfast. Leave at 1000 to Yala .Travel time 3 hrs. On the way visit Ravana water fall and Buduruwagala temple.

      Reach to Yala and lunch at Yala.

      Sri Lankaโ€™s best known and most popular park, which is gives you one of the best opportunities to spot the leopard. This being the main predator its survival is quite high and Yala boast of one of the highest densities of leopards in the world that is so easily accessible. The Asian elephant, sambar .deer, crocodiles, buffalo and even spotting a sloth bear is a reality. Its home to a number of bird spices and migrants.

  • Day 9 Yala-Mirissa

      Yala-Mirissa

      Breakafst. Leave at 1000 to Mirissa. Travel time 3 hrs.

      Lunch at Mirissa and check in to the hotel. Relax till in the evening.

      Leave at 17000 to Coconut Tree Hill

      Coconut Tree Hill is one of the most Instagrammable spots in Sri Lanka and one of the top things to do in Mirissa. The private coconut farm is just a 15-minute walk from Mirissa Beach and offers some of the best views in the area!

  • Day 10 Mirissa-Dalwaella-Unawatuna-Galle

      Turtle hatchery

      Sea Turtles are one of threatened species of the world. Southern costal line is a common place for laying eggs by sea turtles. Visit turtle hatcheries and learn how they are conserved and protected.

           

      Swing Rope-Dalawella beach 

          

      The swing at Dalawella Beach is the Instagram swing in Sri Lanka. 

      The swing is outside a small guesthouse (Dream Cabanas) and is attached midway up a palm tree that stretches out towards the beach.

      Galle Fort 

      The Galle Dutch fort, this is also where the Portuguese first set foot in the year 1505 and built a fortress, which was later captured and fortified by the Dutch in the 17th century. The fortress is one of the best preserved on the island. This is a UNESCO world heritage site.

  • Day 11 Colombo-Departure

      After breakfast, proceed to Colombo.

      Travel time 2.5 hours

           

      Afternoon go on a site seeing and a shopping trip around the busy cities of Colombo. Youโ€™ll be seeing the famous Gangarama temple, Seema MaLakaya, Lotus tower the Municipal Council and Galle Face Green. You can enjoy fair bargain by shopping at some of the reputed shopping malls such as Odel, liberty plaza, majestic city, one gall face, etc.  (Depending on time of departure airport drop)

      Now that you are at the end of your journey with us, 

      chauffeur will comfortably take you to the international airport in time for your departure flight.
