Valparaรญso also has several cable cars, the funiculares, which are used as public transport to make the steep ascent and descent of over 40 hills easier.

      In the morning drive to Calama and flight via Santiago to Punta Arenas. The flight alone is an experience. With good visibility, you can see the northern and southern inland ice fields with glaciers, lagoons and the Andes. The city of Punta Arenas, your destination today, is located directly on the Strait of Magellan and offers a wonderful view of the strait and Tierra del Fuego in good weather.

      After breakfast, you will travel by bus to Puerto Natales. Today you will get to know Punta Arenas a little better on a city tour. You will also explore the municipal cemetery, which is said to be the most beautiful in South America. If the weather is good, you will be able to see not only the city but also Tierra del Fuego from the viewpoint. In the afternoon, you will get to know a typical Chilean means of transportation, the public bus. From Punta Arenas, you will travel to Puerto Natales. This small town is idyllically situated on the Fjord of Last Hope and is the starting point for the Torres del Paine National Park.

      Another highlight of your trip is on the program today: Torres del Paine National Park. With a lunchbox in your luggage, you will drive via the Milodon Cave (home to a prehistoric sloth) to Grey Lake. There you will take a boat trip to the glacier of the same name. On this trip across Lago Grey, you will approach the Grey Glacier, which forms the end of the southern ice field. You will reach the front wall of the glacier, which is divided in the middle by a rocky island where you can go ashore. With a bit of luck, you may even see icebergs floating by or parts of the ice wall plunging into the icy waters of the lake during the tour. You then drive through the park until you arrive at your accommodation in the middle of nature.

      In the morning, you will go on shorter hikes in the national park and can enjoy this unique ambience. In the afternoon, you will visit a typical estancia, where the shepherd Christian will introduce you to his work. Of course, you will also be able to taste a typical Patagonian lamb. Vegetarian alternatives are also available. You will then arrive back in Puerto Natales in the evening.

      This morning you take another scheduled bus and cross the Patagonian steppe. You leave Chile and enter the neighboring country of Argentina. El Calafate welcomes you. In the afternoon, you can relax a little or visit the Laguna Nimes bird reserve or the glacier museum.

      Another highlight is on the program today, the Perito Moreno Glacier. In addition to the huge masses of ice with a white, shimmering turquoise wall up to 70 m high, the glacier calves almost all the time. Chunks of ice are constantly crashing and falling loudly into Lago Argentino, as the glacier moves forward by up to two meters a day. You can take in the spectacle over a picnic. Afterwards, take a boat trip and get very close to the edge of the glacier.

      Today you fly to the southernmost city in the world - Ushuaia on Tierra del Fuego! Today you will travel by boat on the Beagle Channel. Thanks to a special hull, it can sail very close to the rocky islands. You will pass the Isla de los Pajaros, an island full of cormorants and Patagonian gulls, as well as the famous lighthouse Les Eclaireurs. Afterwards, there are various ways to use your free time: How about a short hike to the Martial Glacier? From here you have a beautiful view of the Beagle Channel and parts of Ushuaia in the other direction. A visit to the former prison, which now houses a museum, is highly recommended. In addition to insights into the history of Tierra del Fuego and Ushuaia, it also offers some interesting information on Antarctic expeditions and is home to current art exhibitions.

      Today you travel to Tierra del Fuego National Park. After a rustic lunch, the hike continues and you can enjoy this unique landscape at the end of the world. Afterwards there is a canoe trip in Tierra del Fuego, where you can relax in the breathtaking silence of nature.

      Today you will explore the vibrant metropolis. We start in La Boca, known for the colorful artistsโ€™ quarter around El Caminito and for the soccer team Boca Juniors - Maradonaโ€™s home team. The tour continues to the historic Plaza de Mayo, which became internationally famous during the military dictatorship under Jorge Videla in the 1970s and 1980s. In the evening, a visit to a tango show with a farewell dinner will make the dreams of all dance lovers come true - because if you havenโ€™t experienced tango in Buenos Aires, you havenโ€™t really been to the metropolis on the Rio de la Plata.
