      In Buenos Aires, your tour guide will greet you expectantly and take you to your hotel. Afterwards you will explore the capital of Argentina, which is also called the "Paris of South America". The lively center and the boulevard Avenida de Mayo have already inspired many people, as well as the tango district San Telmo or La Boca, which is famous for its colorful tin houses. The tour ends in the north of Buenos Aires and a visit to La Recoleta Cemetery, where the grave of Evita, the famous wife of President Juan Perรณn, is located.

      Day 3: Buenos Aires And Tigre Delta Cruise

      A half-day excursion to the delta of the Tigre: You drive north, through the city parks, past the residence of the president of the state, through the stately suburb of San Isidro and on to Tigre, a popular recreation area for the inhabitants of the metropolis. There you will visit the fruit and vegetable market and board a boat for a one-hour tour of the delta. What you see: unique vegetation and well-kept weekend houses of the Buenos Aires population, most of which can only be reached by water and are often built on stilts. The trip is short, but gives a good impression of the vastness of the delta, which is 300 kilometers long in total. We will return to the hotel via the famous Panamericana.

      After breakfast, you will explore Tierra del Fuego National Park with its vast mountain ranges, high moors, rivers, forests and coasts, home to albatrosses, condors, guanacos and red foxes. Afterwards, you will have some time to enjoy the flair of the city. Then itโ€™s off to the port of Ushuaia. Itโ€™s time to sign up for the highlight of your trip: the boat trip to Cape Horn. Embarkation is in the evening and then itโ€™s time: Ahoy, it goes to the end of the world!

      Your great ship adventure begins immediately with the myth. Cape Horn is a 425 meter high and almost vertical cliff and is also called "The End of the World". Here you meet the wildest corner of the earth, because here the Pacific and the Atlantic Ocean unite. Your boat will take you through the Murray Channel and Nassau Bay to the Cabo de Hornos National Park, where you can go ashore in rubber dinghies if the climate allows it. A monument commemorates the many sailors who drowned here, a chapel stands lonely on the island and a guard actually lives in the lighthouse all year round. Then you head for the next destination: Wulaia Bay, which is a natural spectacle of exceptionally beautiful landscape and species-rich flora. Discover the enchanted Magellanic jungle on a hike.

      Your ship turns back onto the main arm of the Beagle Channel and takes you into Pรญa Bay. Here you go ashore at the glacier of the same name. The mighty Pรญa Glacier shines in fantastic shades of blue when the sun shines and calves regularly. This is when large masses of ice break off from the glacier and fall into the sea with a loud roar. On a hike to the viewpoint there are numerous motifs for your souvenir photos for those at home. In the afternoon you will enter the Garibaldi Fjord on the south coast of Tierra del Fuego. Now you have the opportunity to explore the cold Patagonian rainforest and hike through the interior of the forest to a waterfall. But even if you decide to take it easier and stay on board, you will experience an incomparable natural spectacle. Through the narrow fjord, your ship will glide to the Garibaldi Glacier at the end. Enjoy the view from the outside deck.

      Through the Cockburn Channel you will enter Agostini Sound to see the glaciers that rise from the center of the Darwin Cordillera. This Andean strand is the only one that runs east-west and has a continuous, thick ice field from which blue glacier tongues push down into the sea. With the help of Zodiacs - thatโ€™s the name of the small inflatable boats - you will disembark here as well and enjoy the impressive natural spectacle of the glaciers once again during an easy walk. In the afternoon you will also have the opportunity to go ashore at the Cรณndor Glacier to learn interesting facts about the formation of the moving ice masses and their influence on the rugged landscape of Tierra del Fuego. The spectacular and untouched landscape of the last days will remain in your memories for a long time.

      Isla Magdalena. Here lives a colony of numerous Magellanic penguins, cute fellows that you can get very close to. You can also observe a variety of birds, such as cormorants and petrels. If there are no more penguins on Magdalena Island due to the season, you can anchor off Marta Island instead. Here you can observe South American sea lions from inflatable boats. After this last highlight, your cruise ends in Punta Arenas and you disembark in the morning. At the harbor you will be expected and now it is time to check out what the Chilean part of Patagonia has to offer. First a barren landscape, and then a real estancia. Here you will get an insight into the history of Patagonia and the everyday life of Chilean farmer families. The culinary highlight is a typical Chilean asado, roast lamb on a spit, grilled directly over the fire. Enjoy it! Afterwards you will continue to Puerto Natales, a small town with many cafes, restaurants and outdoor stores.

      The drive to the Torres del Paine National Park takes about two hours and you will see how nature becomes more lush and the wildlife more varied. More and more often curious guanacos are standing at the roadside, and with a bit of luck you will also see nandus. Maybe thatโ€™s enough of a program, but thereโ€™s one more thing to see today: the Blue Lagoon (Laguna Azul). From there you have a fantastic view of the Torres peaks. With a little luck you can also observe guanacos, nandus, foxes and a variety of birds in the area.

      You have a full day to explore Torres del Paine National Park. Youโ€™ll visit the mighty Salto Grande waterfalls - the largest waterfalls in the park - and also Lake Nordenskjรถld, including a one- to two-hour hike on the headland between Lake Pehoรฉ and Lake Nordenskjรถld with views of the Torres Massif. But thatโ€™s not all, as emerald green lakes, deep blue lagoons and towering mountain peaks follow. Some shorter hikes will take you to the most beautiful viewpoints in the park. Along the way you will learn a lot about the rich flora and fauna of the national park.

      Through the national park you will continue into the Argentine Pampas to El Calafate, the starting point for exploring the famous Los Glaciares National Park. After checking into your accommodation, you can explore the small town on foot. Take a walk to Laguna Nimez, join a tour along the coast of Lago Argentino (optional) or just relax in one of the many restaurants and enjoy the day.
