      Get your day off to a great start by exploring the stunning capital city of Hungary -Budapest. The morning city tour will take you from the tree-lined Andrassy Avenue to the magnificent Heroesโ€™ Square. The area around it is worth a stroll. Continue to the bustling Central Market a show in itself and great for buying quality Hungarian souvenirs. After visiting the Parliament, the Fine Arts Museum and the Hungarian National Museum, cross the Danube into Buda to admire the former Royal Palace. The tour of the Castle Hill includes a view of the Gothic Matthias Church, view of the Fishermenโ€™s Bastion, Middle Ages small streets and houses, Vienna gate and the northern bastions St. Magdalena Church ruins. Finish at Gellert Hill for the best view of Budapest. The rest of the day is at leisure! Overnight in Budapest.

      Day 3: Explore Beautiful Szentendre & Medieval Visegrad

      Start your day with a visit to Aquincum Roman ruins in the northern part of the city. Continue to Szentendre - the picturesque small town along the Hungarian stretch of the Danube and home to sculptors and painters. Take in its cobbled streets, unexpected alleyways and unique atmosphere. Visit various workshops. Later, drive north along the Danube to Central Europeโ€™s largest medieval castle keep, Visegrad, with its two parts - the 13th century citadel on the hill and the 14th century royal palace at the bottom. Visegrad lived its golden age during the Renaissance King, Matthias. In the evening, you can enjoy an optional activity - a relaxing experience at the thermal baths in Budapest. There are over 118 thermal springs, with a water temperature between 21 and 78 degrees Celsius. The most popular public baths are Szechenyi Thermal Baths, Gellert Baths, Rudas Baths or Dandar.       Day 4: Budapest โ€“ Cluj Napoca

      Early morning, we will depart to Cluj Napoca in Romania. Enjoy an exclusive visit to the birth house of Matthias Corvinus, Hungaryโ€™s most renowned 15th-century king, and learn about his life, as well as the importance of wine in the region. Continue the tour to the large Union Square to admire the 14th-century St. Michaelโ€™s Church, and the large equestrian statue of Corvinus in front of it. Walk on until you arrive at the โ€œStreet of the Intellectuals,โ€ famous for its educational institutions, including the Babes-Bolyai University. As you walk, learn about the fate of the witches living in Cluj in the Middle Ages, and the formation of the Guilds. Walk past the remains of the cityโ€™s defensive walls and arrive at a newer part of the old city, named the Avram Iancu Square. Admire the Orthodox Cathedral that rests here as well as the National Theater built by a team of Viennese architects. Overnight in Cluj Napoca.

      Next on the itinerary is the Transylvanian salt mine in Turda. In this area, the salt deposits were formed 13 million years ago, and the result of two thousand years of work will amaze you. The hundred-meter galleries open into a huge room carved in salt with a 90-meter height, and in the middle of it you can enjoy a boat ride on the salt lake. Capture spectacular images! A glass elevator provides an astonishing overview of the mine. All year long the temperature is constant, between 10 to 12 degrees Celsius, and the salty air has proven therapeutic properties. On your way to Sighisoara, you will meet a Gypsy family in their home for an authentic cultural interchange. Arrival in Sighisoara (UNESCO heritage) and the only medieval citadel still inhabited in Europe. Overnight in Sighisoara.

      Walking tour in Sighisoara that includes the two squares of the Citadel, the Scholarsโ€™ Staircase, the Ducklingsโ€™ Square, the Tinsmithsโ€™ Tower, the House with Antler, the Clock Tower, the Torture Chamber and the Weapon Museum. Visit the Spoonman Exhibition of Transylvanian Arts & Crafts. Vlad the Impaler (Dracula) was born in Sighisoara. Today, the birthplace is a restaurant and one of the main tourist attractions. We will travel to Sibiu with a short detour to visit Biertan, a fortified church built in the 15th century by the Saxons. A UNESCO World Heritage site, besides religious objects it has a matrimonial prison as well.  Proceed to Sibiu, a city in Transylvania, central Romania. Itโ€™s known for the Germanic architecture in its old town, the legacy of 12th-century Saxon settlers. It was awarded in 2007 with the title of European Capital of Culture. Around the city are the remains of medieval walls and towers, including the 13th-century Council Tower. In the upper town, Brukenthal Palace now houses the Brukenthal National Museum that has displays of European paintings. The nearby Evangelical Cathedral has gravestones in its walls. Overnight in Sibiu.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Sibiu โ€“ Bran โ€“ Brasov

      Drive to the village of Bran. The attraction is the well-known Bran Castle also known as Dracula Castle. The castle built in 1377, has been enlarged and restored a few times since then. The connections between this place and Vlad the Impaler (Dracula) is still under debate, but the castle is worth a visit. Enjoy a cheese sampling in the village of Bran known for its high-quality cheeses. Drive to the nearby Brasov, to see the Gothic Black Church. Brasov has one of the best-preserved medieval quarters. Continue to the old Romanian Quarter, Catherineโ€™s Gate old towers and the narrowest street in South-Central Europe. Overnight in Brasov.

  • Day 8 Day 8: Brasov โ€“ Prejmer โ€“ Harman โ€“ Brasov

      Drive to Prejmer to visit the fortified church (UNESCO heritage). Inside this World Heritage Church, you discover fascinating secrets such as why the Teutonic Knights built these fortified temples in the 13th century. If the unusual exterior architecture of this religious monument surprises you, wait until you encounter the wonderful interior courtyard. We continue our journey to Harman to visit its fortified church (UNESCO heritage). Like the previous one, this shrine has a circular structure with strong defensive walls. Here, you will learn that the main enemy of the inhabitants of medieval Transylvania was not dreaded Count Dracula but someone far more terrifying. Drive back to Brasov. Free time. Overnight in Brasov.

      After breakfast, drive to Sinaia, named the Pearl of the Carpathians. Visit one of the most important tourist attractions of the country: Peles Castle, the former royal residence of King Charles I of Romania. Continue your journey to Bucharest. Known as "Little Paris", Bucharest has an incredibly mixed architecture. Your tour will include the Arch of Triumph, the great avenues, the Revolution Square, a view of the former private residence of Ceausescu and a guided visit to the Palace of Parliament - the second largest building in the world. You have the rest of the day at leisure in Bucharest. Overnight in Bucharest.
