      Arrival in Budapest and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Go out for dinner to get a feel for this city which is divided by the river Danube into two parts - the hilly, historic "Buda" region & the Bohemian "Pest". Overnight at your hotel in Budapest.



  • Day 2 Day 2: Budapest City Tour

      Breakfast at hotel. Begin your tour in the ‘Pest’ district and see the Parliament, Royal Palace and Heroes’ Square. Then cross the Danube River on the Elizabeth Bridge into the Buda Hills. See the 13th century Matthias Coronation Church at Castle Hill. Head to Fisherman’s Bastion to enjoy a panoramic view of the city. Rest of the evening at leisure. Option of taking a Danube river cruise with dinner on board. Spend the afternoon at leisure, and tonight perhaps choose the optional Danube Cruise that includes dinner. After the tour, return to your hotel. Overnight at your hotel in Budapest.

      Breakfast at hotel. Option to join a tour to visit St Stephen’s Basilica and the historic Great Market Hall. Later, depart for Vienna in a coach by road. Vienna boasts a scenic location between the foothills of the Alps and the Carpathians, along the Danube River. Rest of the day it at leisure in beautiful Vienna. Musically inclined can opt to attend an optional concert performance of the classical masterpieces of Mozart and Strauss, two of Vienna’s most famous citizens. Overnight at your hotel in Vienna.

      Breakfast at hotel. Embark on a sightseeing tour, starting off with a visit to the stately Schonbrunn Palace, the former summer residence of the Hapsburg emperors. Continue along the famous Ringstrasse and view the Empress Maria Theresia Monument, Votive Church, City Hall and Parliament. Next, walk through the Hofburg courtyards to the State Opera House. The rest of the evening is at leisure. Overnight at your hotel in Vienna.

      After breakfast this morning, depart Austria for the Czech Republic. Travel through Southern Bohemia to the Czech capital, Prague - "The City of a Thousand Spires". Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Balance of the day is at leisure for individual pursuits. Perhaps explore unique galleries, museums and stroll along Parizska street, the city’s famous shopping district. Tonight, try traditional Czech cuisine at one of the many world-class restaurants in Prague. Overnight stay in Prague.

      Breakfast in the morning followed by a half-day sightseeing tour. Start with a walk in the Lesser Town and the Old Town, viewing the famous 14th century Charles Bridge, with its 30 baroque statues of various saints. The bridge also serves as a good viewing point to marvel at the Prague Castle. Continue walking through the Old Town Square to view the famous Old Town Hall Tower & Astronomical Clock, the Municipal House, Powder Tower, and the Jewish Quarter. Rest of the day at leisure.
