      Day 1: Arrival To Bucharest - Predeal

      Early morning flight from Frankfurt to Bucharest. There reception by the local tour guide and start of a city tour. Bucharest is known as the "Paris of the East" because of its elegant boulevards, spacious squares and the Arc de Triomphe. The mixture of different architectural styles is impressive, ranging from classicism to the slab architecture of communism. The Village Museum in the north of the city gives an overview of the traditional architecture of the country. Typical buildings and objects of folk art from all over the country are brought together and exhibited here. Continue to the climatic health resort of Predeal, located on the Wallachian-Transsilvan border. At an altitude of 1,040 m, Predeal is the highest town in the Carpathians.

      Day 2: Predeal - Harman/Honigberg - Brasov/Cronstadt - Bran/Tรถrzburg - Predeal

      The day begins with a visit to the fortified church of Harman (Honey Mountain), located in Burzenland, 10 km from Brasov. It was used by the local inhabitants not only for religious purposes, but also as a retreat and defense building. Afterwards you will get to know Brasov (Kronstadt). During a walking tour in the city center you will visit the Black Church with its Buchholz organ, the medieval city wall around the historic old town with stylish late medieval town houses, the town hall square, the unique Schnurrgasse, the Katherin Gate and the small hidden Orthodox church in the center. After that, one of the highlights of your trip awaits you - Bran Castle! Steeply rising above a gorge, the medieval building known as "Castle Dracula" towers over the area. The romantically situated castle is now a museum. Return to Predeal for dinner.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Predeal - Miercurea Ciuc /Szeklerburg - Sovata - Bistrita/Bistritz

      Today we will travel by bus via Miercurea Ciuc, a small town located between the Harghita volcanic mountain and the Ciuc mountain, to the resort town of Sovata. The resort is known worldwide for its thermal baths. An unforgettable journey awaits you in a special steam train on a route of 14 km from the spa town of Sovata to Campul Cetatii and back. The steam locomotive was built in 1949 in Chrzanowo factory in Poland and runs on coal or wood. The train has a total capacity of 90 seats distributed in four carriages. This trip is more than just a train ride. Beautiful landscapes of dense forests and mountain views have made this trip famous at 35 km per hour. Towards evening you will reach Bistrita, a former Saxon trading town located in the north of Transylvania.

      Very early today we start our journey to Viseul de Sus (Oberwischau), where the Vaser Valley Railway is waiting for us. The narrow-gauge railroad of only 760 mm leads through a wildly romantic forest area into the Carpathians. Besides the beautiful landscape, you can admire many bridges and tunnels along the route. At noon a picnic with drinks in the mountains is also included. In the afternoon you will have time for a city walk in Bistritz to admire the evangelic city parish church built in the 16th century with its 75 meters high tower. It is also worth visiting the silversmithโ€™s house with its Renaissance style facade and a refined chiseled portal.

  • Day 5 Day 5: Bistrita/Bistritz - Targu Mures/Neumarkt - Seuca/Dunkeldorf - Bazna/Baasen - Medias/Mediasch

      After breakfast the bus will drive to Neumarkt, the largest city of Szeklerland. Here you can see the Palace of Culture and the largest Orthodox church in Transylvania. In the afternoon sightseeing and wine tasting in Dunkeldorf, where you will taste the best wines of the Kokel Valley in the winery. Afterwards, a horse-drawn carriage ride from Baasen to the Saxon fortified church of Boian/Bonnesdorf. This church dates back to the 14th century. In the evening you will reach Medias, a town in the Kokel Valley of the Carpathian foothills, surrounded by numerous mountains. Hotel check-in and dinner.

  • Day 6 Day 6: Medias - Sibiu - Predeal

      Day 6: Medias - Sibiu - Predeal

      After breakfast a short city tour in Medias, one of the former seven castles of the Saxons. This small mysterious town is nestled in vineyards. During the sightseeing tour you will see, among other things, Margaret Church, built in 1488 in Gothic style. St. Margaretโ€™s Church is a Lutheran city parish church, known among other things for its leaning tower. Afterwards, the tour continues to Sibiu, the former European Capital of Culture in 2007. The historic center awaits with ancient archways and winding alleys. Here you will also find the most powerful fortifications in all of Transylvania. Stroll along the Big and Small Ring with its numerous historical trade and handicraft houses and discover the most important baroque monuments on the main square, as well as the famous Bridge of Lies. Then visit the Lutheran Cathedral, current seat of the bishops. Here is also buried the son of Dracula, Mihnea the Evil. Return to Predeal.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Predeal - Sinaia - Bucuresti/Bucharest - Germany

      In the morning we will drive to Sinaia and visit the Peles Castle, the summer residence of the royal family. In 1866 the first king from the Hohenzollern family came to Romania and decided to have a castle built in Sinaia on the banks of the Peles stream to remind him of home. Not far away, the Sinaia Monastery is located in an enchanting natural environment. Afterwards, you will leave the Prahova Valley and drive to Bucharest. Depending on arrival, time at leisure, then transfer to the airport and flight home.
