      Today your adventure begins and you fly to Blantyre.

      Day 2: Welcome To Malawi

      From the airport you drive directly to your accommodation. On a walk through the reserve, you can observe antelopes, zebras, kudus and, with a bit of luck, even giraffes. You will get to know your fellow travelers over dinner. 2 nights in Chimwenya Game Park. (A)

  • Day 3 Day 3: Chimwenya Game Drive

      Day 3: Chimwenya Game Drive

      You start the day directly with a game drive in Chimwenya Game Park. Keep an eye out for elephants and lions! In the afternoon, pay a visit to the Satemwa Tea Estate. Around 1,500 people work here during the harvest season from December to April. Taste the aromatic tea and learn more about production and fair trade. (F/A)

      Day 4: Zomba Plateau

      In the morning, drive to the northern foothills of the Shire Highlands, the Zomba Plateau. In Zomba, a local guide will show you around the historic town and tell you more about the life of its inhabitants. A colorful variety of fruit and vegetables awaits you at the fruit market. The afternoon is at your leisure. You can optionally go on a hike with your tour guide in the area around your lodge on the Zomba Plateau. 1 night on the Zomba Plateau. (F/A)

  • Day 5 Day 5: Liwonde National Park

      Day 5: Liwonde National Park

      Early in the morning today you will go on an exciting safari to the Liwonde National Park, which is located directly on the beautiful Shire River. With a little luck you might see a lion! On the west bank of the river are palm trees, on the east bank alluvial land with termite mounds and everywhere grow the famous African baobab trees. Afterwards you will make your way to Lake Malawi (UNESCO World Heritage Site), a freshwater national park. On the way you will visit the cultural center of Mua with its museum of Malawian art and culture. Next door is Mua Mission, one of the most interesting mission stations in Malawi. 2 nights at Lake Malawi. (F)

  • Day 6 Day 6: Lake Malawi

      Day 6: Lake Malawi

      Today is free to enjoy the beautiful Salima shore of Lake Malawi. You can relax at the hotel or, for example, snorkel in the fresh water, take a boat trip on the lake or join an excursion to a fishing village. (optional, bookable on site). (F)

      Day 7: Zambia

      After breakfast, you will drive towards Lilongwe and then on to the neighboring country of Zambia. This landlocked country is best known for its pristine landscapes and wildlife-rich nature reserves. Upon arrival in South Luangwa National Park, you will have the rest of the afternoon to relax by the pool at your accommodation and observe elephants in close proximity. 2 nights in a tented camp.       Day 8: South Luangwa National Park

      The national park in the east of the country is one of the best wildlife sanctuaries on earth and home to 60 different species of mammals. Experience the animals up close on safaris in open jeeps in the morning and afternoon! (F/M/A)

      Day 9: Craftsmanship

      In the morning you leave the Luangwa Valley and stop at Tribal Textiles, the creative center of the southern Luangwa Valley. The region around Chipata is an important cotton producer. A visit to the workshops (March to December) will give you an impression of the colorful creativity of African artisans. Continue to Petauke. 1 night there. (F/A)

      Day 10: Market Visit

      Today you will drive along the Great East Road, which connects Lusaka with Malawi. On the way through the rural areas of Zambia, you will cross the Luangwa River and see typical farms and villages along the route. You will stop at the lively Luangwa market where Zambian traders offer their wares. 1 night in Lusaka. (F)

  • Day 11 Day 11: Lake Kariba

      Day 11: Lake Kariba

      In the morning you will take a short city tour of Lusaka before heading to your next destination, Lake Kariba. As a reservoir, it is one of the largest man-made lakes in the world and is located on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. You will check into a resort on the lake. 2 nights at Lake Kariba. (F)

      Day 12: Free Time

      Today belongs to you! Pamper yourself at the spa (for a fee) or explore the surroundings on your own on the grounds of your resort, where you may encounter wildlife. You also have the option to take a boat ride on the lake or take a trip to the colorful Siavonga Market (optional, bookable on site). (F)

  • Day 13 Day 13: Drive To Livingstone

      Day 13: Drive To Livingstone

      On this longer driving day you will cross the southern foothills of Zambia to Livingstone. In the afternoon, take the opportunity to have a first look at the waterfalls from the Zambian side (optional, approx. 20 USD p.p., payable locally, please book with your reservation). 1 night in Livingstone.   • Day 14 Day 14: Victoria Falls

      Day 14: Victoria Falls

      Today you travel to Zimbabwe and visit the breathtaking Victoria Falls! Experience them up close on a morning walk. Up to 10,000 cubic meters of Zambezi water per second plunge into the depths. This creates clouds of spray that provide a refreshing shower. The rest of the day is at your leisure. For example, you can take a helicopter flight over the waterfalls (optional, approx. 150 USD per person, approx. 12 minutes, payable on site, please book when registering). Or you can opt for a relaxing boat trip into the sunset on the mighty Zambezi. (optional, approx. 52 USD p.p., payable locally, please book when registering). 1 night near the Victoria Falls. (F/A)
