Flights

FLIGHTS TO/FROM ICELAND Why donโ€˜t we include airfare in this tour? We do not include airfare in most of our tours because we find that you can save money by booking your flights directly with the airlines. This also allows you to take advantage of the airlinesโ€™ air-miles or frequent flyer programs. Although we generally do not book international flights for customers, our travel consultants can offer guidance if needed. See more airline information below. Getting to Iceland With an ever-increasing number of new routes and airlines serving Iceland, itโ€˜s easy to get here! Flight times are about 3 hours from London and 5 hours from New York. Airports in Iceland Keflavรญk International Airport: Icelandโ€˜s major airport, located approx. 50 minutes from Reykjavik by taxi, bus or shuttle. Reykjavik Airport: handles domestic flights as well as direct flights to Greenland. Itโ€™s just a short taxi ride (2 - 3 km) from most hotels and guesthouses in the city centre. Major airlines serving Keflavik International Airport (KEF)*

Insurance

PERSONAL TRAVEL INSURANCE To safeguard your trip from unexpected misfortunes, we highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance. There are numerous insurance providers online, offering policies with varying levels of coverage to protect your finances in the event of illness or other medical emergencies, lost or damaged luggage, flight cancellation, theft, and much more. Your credit card may offer basic travel insurance or emergency travel assistance if you use it to book travel or accommodation although the coverage is usually very limited. Check with your credit card provider to see if you are covered and what benefits are provided.
