Itinerary of your trip Serbia 4 Day Private Tour

  • Day 1 Meeting, Iron Gate Gorge, Golubac Fortress, Lepenski Vir, Bor Lake
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Meeting, Iron Gate Gorge, Golubac Fortress, Lepenski Vir, Bor Lake

You will meet your private guide at the airport/bus/train station or wherever we agree to meet. First stop is the famous Golubac Fortress. This medieval fortification was constructed at the point of the Danube where the river changes from its widest point on the entire stretch โ€“ 7km from side to side, to a narrow gorge entrance. Youโ€™ll walk the towers and ramparts of this intriguing edifice. Next stop is prehistorical settlement Lepenski Vir, dating from 8000 BC. Itโ€™s located in the heart of the Iron Gate Gorge. Here youโ€™ll experience how life looked like on the bank of the Danube in prehistoric times. Lunch stop is on Captain Misaโ€™s Hill. It is a household where a local family runs a small ethnic complex where youโ€™ll try local food and learn something about their life in this part of Serbia.

After lunch youโ€™ll see the most attractive parts in the gorge, Mali and Veliki Kazan Ravines. From viewpoints above Danube youโ€™ll enjoy the most iconic views over the gorge, together with a sculpture of Dacian King Decebalus (Decibel) carved in a rock on the Romanian side.

First night is planned in Hotel Jezero**** on the shores of Bor Lake. Here youโ€™ll have a chance to relax in the hotelโ€™s pool after an exciting day or to enjoy a stroll around the area.

      Hotel Option

Another option (with a supplement) for overnight stay in this region is a luxurious Hotel Ramonda**** which is located at the foot of the Rtanj Mountain.

  • Day 2 Felix Romuliana, Ravanica And Manasija Monasteries, Veliki Buk Waterfall
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Felix Romuliana, Ravanica And Manasija Monasteries, Veliki Buk Waterfall

The second day of the trip starts right after breakfast. First stop on the itinerary is Felix Romuliana. This UNESCO site is a Roman palace from the IV century, built by Roman Emperor Galerius. From here we continue to the Monastery Ravanica. This XIV century monastery has great importance for Serbiaโ€™s national pride and identity. Midday stop for break and lunch is planned at the attractive waterfall Veliki buk, surrounded by intact nature (if you feel warm you can take a dip into cold mountain spring water). In a cozy small restaurant directly by the creek youโ€™ll have local specialties for lunch. After a deserved break weโ€™ll drive to Manasija Monastery from the XV century. Here youโ€™ll learn why Serbian medieval rulers carried the title of Despot and who was Despot Stefan Lazareviฤ‡. From Manasija youโ€™ll continue to West Serbia and its ล umadija region.

Here, in the village Mala Vrbica youโ€™ll have a chance to meet locals from the household House of ฤŒoloviฤ‡. This rural guesthouse is a perfect representative of Serbian hospitality. Comfortable stay is combined with kind hosts and tasty local food. The second day of the trip starts right after the breakfast. First stop on the itinerary is Felix Romuliana. • Day 3 Topola, Oplenac Mausoleum, Wineries, Belgrade
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Topola, Oplenac Mausoleum, Wineries, Belgrade

Third day will start with a rich and tasty homemade breakfast. After you say goodbye to our hosts, the trip continues through ล umadija to the nearby town of Topola. Renewal of the modern Serbian state started there in 1804. On the tip of Oplenac Hill youโ€™ll visit the Royal mausoleum, a church where 27 members of the royal family are buried. It is decorated with mosaics: 40 million pieces in 15.000 shades of colour. From this point onward you are only enjoying ล umadija wine. First, youโ€™ll stop by the Kingโ€™s Winery, established in the 1930s by a Serbian king. After this one youโ€™ll visit the most prominent Serbian winery Aleksandroviฤ‡. As a grand finale of the day youโ€™ll have a local lunch with wine tasting at a young family owned winery, whose young winemakers will be your host during the meal.

After lunch you are leaving ล umadija and youโ€™ll head to Belgrade for the rest of the day. After check-in at the great Hotel City Savoy****, located in the city center close to all main attractions, you have free time for yourself.

  • Day 4 Belgrade Fortress, Titoโ€™S Tomb, St. Sava Church, Zemun, Gardoลก Hill
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Belgrade Fortress, Titoโ€™S Tomb, St. Sava Church, Zemun, Gardoลก Hill

Last day of your Serbia tour package is reserved for Belgrade exploration. Weโ€™ll take you first to Belgrade Fortress, the most iconic Belgrade landmark. Then from the fortress we move to another part of the city, posh Dedinje. Youโ€™ll visit the House of Flowers, which is the eternal home of former Yugoslavian president Tito. #YourSerbiaHost will explain how Titoโ€™s cult was nurtured during his life, but also long after he was gone. From the controversial Yugoslavian dictatorโ€™s tomb weโ€™ll take you to a holy place, to St. Sava Church. The biggest Orthodox church in the Balkans is dedicated to a true saint who was born in the XII and who brought autonomy to the Serbian Orthodox Church in the XIII century.

When this part of exploration is finished weโ€™ll take you to a restaurant in the neighborhood, where local food is prepared in a modern manner. After lunch weโ€™ll switch to the other side of the river, to Zemun. This old part of the city was actually a separate town till 1934. Strolling along the Danube promenade or walking to the Gardoลก Hill, with a drink in one of the local cafes will make you feel like a local.

This is where the four day Serbia tour package ends and where we say doviฤ‘enja (farewell) to each other. At the end of the tour youโ€™ll be dropped off to the airport/train/bus station or wherever we agree.
