      A day at leisure to explore at your own pace. 

      We suggest an optional excursion (USD$65/person, paid locally) with lunch to the Forbidden City, the former seat of the emperors throughout the Ming and Qing dynasties. It is a true architectural masterpiece and home to the National Palace Museum. After an included lunch, proceed to the Summer Palace, a former royal retreat and now a lovely part. Then visit a Chinese Herbal Institute to learn about traditional Chinese medicine. This evening, delight in an optional banquet (USD$35/person, paid locally) featuring the famous "Peking Duck".

      Todayโ€™s highlight is an excursion to the majestic Great Wall (Juyongguan), one of the โ€œSeven Wonders of the Worldโ€! Recognized by UNESCO, and get a chance to climb a portion of this 3,700-mile marvel. Then tour the iconic โ€œBeijing 2008 Olympic Centerโ€; which includes the famous Birdโ€™s Nest and Water Cube which now hosts many spectacular opening ceremonies and events. Although there is no tour inside these buildings, it is a magnificent architectural structure from the outside, providing a perfect photo opportunity. Visit one of the largest Jade Exhibitions in Asia enroute. Afternoon, see skilled artisans work at a Cloisonnรฉ Factory. Tonight, you can choose to attend an optional large scale dramatic musical, "The Golden Mas6k Dynasty" show (USD$50/person, paid locally).

      Today you are free to explore Beijing, or you can sign up to join one of our popular day tour programs. We will take a late evening flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival at Shanghai airport, transfer directly to Suzhou by bus. It is only about a one-hour drive. 

      Additional one-day tour Program: Take a morning tour to Temple of Heaven, recognized by UNESCO, an architectural masterpiece built between 1406-1460 AD to be used by the emperors from the Ming and Qing dynasties for ceremonies honoring the god of harvests. Then take a famous rickshaw Hutong Tour & Local Family Visit, this package also includes a traditional family cooked lunch (Optional $79/person, paid locally)

      Suzhouโ€“the city of paradise is also known as the Oriental Venice for its exquisite canals, bridges, pagodas, and beautiful gardens. Suzhou is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After breakfast, tour the Lingering Garden, a classic private garden with 500 years of history. Next, visit the Suzhou Silk Factory, the largest silk factory in the country to discover the mysterious processing of silk. After lunch, enjoy Optional cruise along the ancient canal from the city to the picturesque Grand Canal (Optional $30/person, paid locally). Late afternoon, continue to Wuxi, visit the NanChang Street.

      This morning tour the Brilliance of Lake Lihu located at Famous Lake Taihu, followed by visit a Fresh Water Pearl Farm. 

      Continue to Hangzhou, described by Marco Polo as "the most beautiful and magnificent city in the world".  This evening, you can enjoy an optional open-air performance, West Lake Night Show. This is a performance reflecting the long and splendid culture of the region. Songs, dances, opera, acrobatics and stunts are integrated in this performance to present Hangzhouโ€™s rich ancient civilization and remarkable customs. The performance consists of five scenes lasting around 1 hour in total. (USD$65/person, paid locally).

      Hangzhou, also known as the โ€œParadise on Earthโ€, has been immortalized by countless poets and artists. The West Lake Cultural Landscape has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. After breakfast, visit The West Lake, the most beautiful lake in the country. Then, you may take an optional boat ride on the serene West Lake (USD$35/person, paid locally), the most renowned feature of Hangzhou, noted for its scenic beauty which blends naturally with many famous historical and cultural sites. Then, visit No.1 Tea Plantation and taste the well-known Dragon Well Tea. Many studies say that green tea is excellent for your health. Dragon Well Tea is the best Green Tea in China. After lunch, drive to Shanghai. Walking along the famous Bund, lined by the colonial architecture of European design, this area is the best place to capture the Western influences of the old days. It is now the called โ€œWall Street of the Eastโ€. 

      Evening choose optional Chinese Acrobatic Show - "ERA The Intersection of Time" (USD$60/person, paid locally)

      Free at leisure for last-minute souvenir shopping or just relax at your hotel. Or you may choose an optional day-tour of Shanghai highlights.

It is the only super high-speed bullet train with Magnetic technology in operation all over the world. Shop till you drop at knock-off market for your last minute shopping before exploring the famousใ€Xintiandiใ€‘, a stylish pedestrian street composed of Shikumen architecture and modern complex.ใ€Jin Mao Towerใ€‘, The tour will also include an admission to The Observation Deck on the 88th Floor of Jin Mao Tower where you will have the very best view of the entire city of Shanghai.

      At night, you may enjoy and optional "Huangpu River Night Cruise" and get a glimpse of the dazzling and charming night view of Shanghai at your own expense (USD$50/person, paid locally)

      After breakfast, transfer to the airport and take a flight to Xiโ€™an. Upon arrival, visit the โ€œSmall Wild Goose Pagodaโ€ (XiaoYan Ta), located on the highest mountain in the city. It is a, well-preserved, symbolic, tower built in the ancient times. Dating of this tower goes as far as 707 A.D. The tower is now functioned to collect Buddhists materials that were previously taken by Indian pilgrims. Here we will participate in a special class to learn about brush paintings, traditional Chinese culture and Chinese Calligraphy. Next, tour Xiโ€™an Museum, a Tang Dynasty-style structure under national heritage protection. The museum has a massive collection and houses over around 14,000 pieces of items ranging from coins, clothing, potteries, weapons and many more. All of which are rated as Chinaโ€™s highest level of protection due to its cultural importance. Afterwards, get a great opportunity to partake in a traditional Chinese Calligraphy Class & Shadow Puppet Performance (USD $29/person). Shadow Puppet Performance works in the form of "One mouth tells stories of thousands of years; a pair of hands operates millions of soldiers." Get introduced to incredible history and be marveled by the lingering music, exquisite puppets, brisk colors and lively performance.


      After enjoying a delightful Fu Brick Dark Tea, the mysterious tea from Chinaโ€™s ancient Silk Road, our calligraphy master will be waiting to impart his knowledge and guide your hands to the practices of this ancient art.


      Following this full day of activities, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

      After breakfast, we will visit Qin Emperorโ€™s Mausoleum, showcasing the world-renowned โ€œTerracotta Warriorsโ€ and โ€œHorses Museumโ€. It is the most significant archeological discovery and excavation site for China that took place in year 1974. Qin ShiHuang (d. 210 B.C.) is the first unifier and emperor of ancient Chinese civilization during the Qin dynasty. The emperor was buried surrounded by life-sized terracotta warrior sculptures, a funerary art with the purpose of protecting the emperor in his afterlife. The emperorโ€™s tomb is located at the centre of a complex, designed to mirror the urban plan of a capital. The โ€œTerracotta Armyโ€ is rated one of the top attractions in China after its enlistment by UNESCO in 1987. After visiting the museum, we will continue to the Artistic Ceramics Exhibition, to learn the techniques about the makings of the Terracotta Warriors. Tonight, you may delight in a large Dumpling Banquet (USD $68/person), which includes a wide variety of dumpling choices and a featured Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show.
