      Day 1: Welcoming And Introduction

Few places on Earth are better highlighting the meeting of East and West, past and present, and Azerbaijanโ€™s capital of Baku is known as โ€œThe Paris of the East.โ€ Modern skyscrapers rise like glass sails above the Old Cityโ€™s 12th century Maiden Tower, forming a cityscape that is magical during daytime and enchanting in the evening. History comes alive in Azerbaijan, and the bejeweled past is on full display in palaces, museums and shops that draw nearly three million visitors each year.

Based on your arrival time we will meet you in your hotel or at certain place in the downtown and give detailed information about 5-day travel program.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Baku City Full-Day Tour
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Day 2: Baku City Full-Day Tour

In early morning we will start to discover the largest and most cosmopolitan city of Caucasus.

Straddling the Middle East, Europe and Asia, the enigmatic capital of Azerbaijan sits on the coast of the opal-blue waters of the Caspian Sea, with the Caucasus Mountains to the west.

At the beginning of this unique sightseeing tour, the car/minivan will take us to the twin gates of Old City. From there, we will walk to the inner city where you will go on a detailed tour, during which you will explore the Maiden Tower, 15th-century Shirvanshahsโ€™ Palace, Museum of Miniature Books that is the only museum in the world dedicated to miniature editions of books. Weโ€™ll walk through the bustling narrow streets and alleyways and you will also discover traditional mosques with calligraphic facades, old hamams, merchantsโ€™ houses and charming trading streets made all the more colorful with quirky little art galleries and carpet shops. As soon as we finish Old City walking tour you will have 1 - 1.5 hours lunch/coffe or tea break and weโ€™ll take you traditional local restaurants - world of colourful and delicious Azeri cuisine.

Following the delicious lunch, we will visit Palace of Happiness (once a โ€™place of tragedyโ€™ now turned into a โ€˜palace of happinessโ€™) and Carpet Museum - the largest collection of Azerbaijani carpets and rugs in the world. After an impressive carpet tour, it is time to ride up in the Baku Funicular from the seaside to the three strikingly modern buildings known as the Flame Towers. This high-speed Funicular provides a stunning view over the city as it transports guests more than 1493 feet above ground. Selfies are still compulsory up here: the funicular conveniently lets you off at Highland Park, the landscaped terraces of which overlook the Bay of Baku and give the best view over the Baku Bay, National Flag Square and Seaside Boulevard.  The last sightseeing to be visited is Heydar Aliyev Center - an internationally recognized architectural marvel, designed by the late Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid. After the trip, our minibus/car will take you back to hotel or certain point in the downtown based on your request.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Full-Day Trip To Guba
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Day 3: Full-Day Trip To Guba

The ancient mountain town along the Qudyal River located in a distance of 180 km from capital city displaying full of history. Famed for its carpet-making tradition, Quba also represents a major summer and winter vacation destination, attracting visitors with its pristine mountain scenery and pleasant weather. Full-day Guba trip provides a chance to discover the distinctive local cuisine, spectacular natural landscape with stunning mountain forests and hundreds of types of apples - the town and the surrounding area remain the countryโ€™s top supplier of this fruit.

We are going to start our Quba tour in the old part of town, or head straight for the Jewish quarter, known as the Red Settlement because of its red-roofed houses. Interesting enough in itself, the town provides an ideal base for exploring the regionโ€™s remote mountain villages. One of the highest mountain villages of Europe- Khinalig aslo is in this region and attracts a large number of travellers every year around the world. Following the short excursion along the Town and Jewish Village, weโ€™ll continue with the Qachrash forest, which is reached along a small road out of Quba and is well known because the forest is so thick that daylight cannot get through to the forest floor. Our last and most impressive destination is going to be Khinalig Village. Surrounded by majestic mountains, the village offers one of the most dramatic natural landscapes in Azerbaijan. Once exploring challenging life style and unique traditions of inhabitants living here we are going to return back to Baku and reach the city before midnight.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Trip To Qobustan And Mud Volcanoes
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Day 4: Trip To Qobustan And Mud Volcanoes

This trip will help you to uncover the secrets of the Gobustan National Park and be acquainted with the amazing mud volcanoes.

Real magic in Baku starts further afield. Trip starts with visiting Bibi-Heybat Mosque. You will admire impressive minarets of Bibi-Heybat Mosque, a restored historical mosque at the entrance to the city from the airport side. With its elaborately decorated interior of green and gold, the mosque features Shirvan architecture with three domes. The old mosque was known as "the mosque of Fatima," as called by French writer Alexander Dumas who traveled here in the 1840s. Following the Mosque, we will head directly to Gobustan to see Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape. A national historical landmark and a World Heritage Site, Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape preserves ancient stone relics, rock carvings, and mud volcanoes. Located on the Greater Caucasus mountain ridge, the reserve shelters more than 6,000 engraved images of prehistoric lifestyles, hunting, and animal and plant life, dating back between 5,000 and 40,000 years.  Later on, the tour will continue to the Mud Volcano, which is not far from Gobustan National Museum. During this trip, you will get a great chance to see these amazing active volcanoes from very close distance. Watch mud bubbling out of the earth at Mud Volcanoes, strange geological formations bursting warm liquid set against a backdrop of mountains in Gobustan National Park. Fizzy, snorting bubbles and an occasional sound of snoring make a mesmerizing spectacle. The gurgling mud coming out at 1.2 m (4 ft) high spurts like mini volcanoes but is not hot; you can touch it or bring it home for skin treatment. The landscape here features cracked mud and several piles of hardened mud spewing muddy water. After an impressive volcano tour, we will invite you to taste most famous dishes of national cuisine in traditional local restaurant. Following the lunch break tour goes on with the excursion to the natural, historical and architectural moments of Absheron peninsula - a place of natural combustible gases entering the mountain Yanardagh (Burning mountain), temple of fire-worshipers โ€œAteshgahโ€ and finally Gala State Historical Ethnographic Reserve.
