      Welcome to Osaka, Japan! After completing customs and immigration formalities and collecting your baggage, please proceed to the arrival area, where your friendly tour guide will greet you with a TOMATO TRAVEL sign. Your guide will escort you to your hotel, and upon arrival, you will receive a complimentary bottle of sake per room.

  • Day 2 Osaka - Himeji - Hiroshima (B, L)

      This morning, visit Himeji Castle, also known as the "White Heron Castle" for its graceful architecture, is one of the few remaining original medieval castles in Japan and is widely considered one of Japanโ€™s most beautiful and historically significant castles.

      Today, weโ€™ll start our journey in Hiroshima, a city in western Japan known for its rich history, beautiful landmarks, and unique cuisine. Our first stop will be at the Peace Memorial Park and Atomic Bomb 

      Dome, two of the most significant monuments dedicated to the victims of the atomic bomb that was used during World War II. These sites serve as a poignant reminder of the devastating impact of war and offer visitors a chance to pay their respects to those who lost their lives. For lunch, weโ€™ll enjoy Hiroshimaโ€™s famous local specialty, oysters. Hiroshima oysters are known for their plump and juicy texture and are considered some of the best in Japan. Weโ€™ll head to a local restaurant and savour this delicious seafood delicacy, leaving a lasting impression on your taste buds.


      Next, weโ€™ll head to Miyajima Island to visit the Itsukushima Shrine, one of Japanโ€™s most iconic and beautiful shrines. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is famous for its "floating" torii gate, which appears to be standing on the water during high tide. Visitors can explore the islandโ€™s lush forests and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding sea.


      In the evening, indulge in a local specialty dinner featuring Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki, a savoury Japanese pancake that originated in Hiroshima, Japan. It is made with a batter of flour, grated yam, water, and shredded cabbage, mixed with various ingredients such as pork belly, shrimp, squid, and noodles. The batter is cooked on a hot plate or griddle in layers, with each ingredient added separately.

  • Day 4 Hiroshima - Takamatsu - Kobe (B, L, D)

      Today, we are heading to Takamatsu, a Kagawa prefecture city known for its delicious Udon noodles. Weโ€™ll start the day with an Udon-making workshop led by a master Udon maker, where youโ€™ll learn the art of making this traditional Japanese noodle from scratch. From kneading the dough to cutting the noodles, youโ€™ll have a hands-on experience of the process. Afterwards, weโ€™ll sit down and enjoy the fruits of our labour by having our very own Udon for lunch.


      Next, weโ€™ll make our way to Ritsurin Garden, considered one of the finest gardens in Japan. The garden features stunning landscapes, including ponds, teahouses, and bridges, built by the local feudal lords during the early Edo period.


      Weโ€™ll stroll through the garden and enjoy the serenity and beauty of this stunning landscape.

      As the day winds down, weโ€™ll make our way to Kobe Harborland, a popular shopping and dining destination situated on the waterfront. Weโ€™ll head to the Fishermanโ€™s Market for a buffet dinner featuring an array of fresh seafood.

  • Day 5 Kobe - Osaka (B, L)

      Today, weโ€™ll start our journey in Kitanocho, an area known for its beautiful Western-style mansions built for merchants and diplomats during the 19th and early 20th centuries. Weโ€™ll stroll through the streets and admire the architecture of these stunning homes.


      Next, weโ€™ll indulge in Kobeโ€™s most famous delicacy - Kobe beef! Weโ€™ll head to Steakland Kobekan, a renowned steakhouse specialising in serving the finest Kobe beef. Youโ€™ll have the opportunity to savour the unique flavour of this world-famous beef.

      Afterwards, weโ€™ll visit the Hakutsuru Sake Brewery, one of the oldest sake producers in Japan, located in the Nada district of Kobe. Youโ€™ll learn about the history of sake brewing and get a chance to taste some of its finest sake varieties.


      Then weโ€™ll head back to Osaka. Youโ€™ll have free time to explore Shinsekai, a unique and vibrant neighbourhood in southern Osaka, It is known for its lively atmosphere and retro charm, with many old-fashioned restaurants, bars, and shops that have been operating since the early 20th century.

  • Day 6 Osaka - Kyoto (B, L)

      Welcome to your tour of Uji, a charming city located in the southern part of Kyoto Prefecture, renowned for its high-quality green tea and scenic beauty. Today, weโ€™ll start our journey with a visit to Byodoin, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its Phoenix Hall (outside view), the main building that appears on the Japanese 10 yen coin. Youโ€™ll marvel at the exquisite beauty and intricate details of the architecture, which represents the pure land of the Buddha Amitabha.


      Next, weโ€™ll stop for lunch and indulge in a local specialty - Bento, a traditional Japanese meal that usually consists of rice, grilled fish, pickled vegetables, and miso soup. Youโ€™ll savour the flavours of fresh and seasonal ingredients while enjoying the serene ambience of the restaurant.


      After lunch, weโ€™ll visit Takumi-no Yakata, where youโ€™ll have the chance to taste some of the finest Uji green tea while enjoying the picturesque scenery of the Ujigawa River.


      Finally, weโ€™ll end our tour with a stroll through the streets of Uji, where youโ€™ll have the opportunity to purchase some souvenirs and taste some local snacks such as Matcha soft-serve ice cream.


      If our schedule allows for it, we will also visit Rengeoin Sanjusangendo. The templeโ€™s name translates to "Hall of Thirty- Three Bays of the Lotus Sutra." The templeโ€™s main hall is a stunning example of Japanese architecture, with a long and narrow wooden structure that measures 120 meters in length and contains 33 bays. Visitors can see 1,001 statues of the goddess Kannon inside the hall, which are said to have been carved by the sculptor Tankei during the 12th century.

      Welcome to our tour of Kyoto, one of Japanโ€™s most beautiful and culturally rich cities. Today, weโ€™ll start our journey with a visit to Kinkakuji, also known as the Golden Pavilion. This iconic temple is covered in gold leaf and reflects beautifully on the surrounding pond. Youโ€™ll have the opportunity to explore the serene gardens and admire the stunning architecture of

      the temple.


      Next, weโ€™ll head to Arashiyama, a charming district on the western outskirts of Kyoto. Here, weโ€™ll visit the famous Togetsu Bridge, which spans the Hozu River and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Weโ€™ll then take a stroll through the Bamboo Grove, one of Kyotoโ€™s top sights, where you can enjoy the peaceful rustling of the tall bamboo stalks.


      For lunch, weโ€™ll visit Hanasaki, a renowned restaurant in the historic Gion district, where weโ€™ll experience the art of Kaiseki Ryori, an exquisite multi-course meal that showcases the finest seasonal ingredients. As you enjoy your meal, youโ€™ll be treated to a traditional geisha performance featuring dance, music, and witty conversation. Geishas are highly trained artists who have mastered the art of hospitality, and their performances are an integral part of Japanese culture.


      After Lunch, weโ€™ll take a leisurely stroll through Gionโ€™s picturesque streets, famous for its traditional architecture, lantern-lit alleyways, and charming tea houses. Youโ€™ll have the opportunity to take photos, shop for souvenirs, and immerse yourself in the timeless beauty of this historic district.


      Later, weโ€™ll visit Fushimi Inari, a Shinto shrine famous for its thousands of vermilion torii gates that lead up to the sacred Mount Inari. Youโ€™ll have the opportunity to hike up the mountain and explore the winding trails and hidden shrines. The view from the top is simply breathtaking, and youโ€™ll feel a sense of awe and wonder at the beauty of the surrounding

      nature.

  • Day 8 Kyoto - Nagoya (B, L, D)

      Our Nagoya tour begins with a visit to a local restaurant for lunch, where youโ€™ll have the opportunity to taste one of Nagoyaโ€™s most famous dishes - eel. Nagoya-style eel is known for its unique flavour and texture, and itโ€™s a favourite among locals and visitors alike.


      After lunch, weโ€™ll head to the Noritake Museum, which showcases the history and artistry of Nagoyaโ€™s ceramics industry. Noritake is a leading company in the industry with over a century of experience, and its museum is a must-see for anyone interested in Japanese art and culture. Youโ€™ll learn about the history of the company, and see beautiful pieces of art.


      In the evening, weโ€™ll head to a local restaurant, Sekai no Yamachan, to try another Nagoya specialty - Tebasaki. These deep-fried chicken wings are seasoned with a savoury and spicy sauce, making them a delicious and popular dish in Nagoya.

  • Day 9 Nagoya - Mt Fuji (B, D)

      Start your day by visiting Oishi Park, located on the shores of Lake Kawaguchi. This picturesque park is famous for its serene walking path lined with blooming flowers and its breathtaking views of Mount Fuji. Take a stroll around the park and soak up the beauty of your surroundings.


      Afterwards, head to Oshino Hakkai, a small village nestled at the foot of Mount Fuji. Here, you can explore the eight crystal-clear ponds filled with fresh water that flows from Mount Fuji. These ponds are considered sacred and have been designated as a national heritage sites. Take the opportunity to taste some of the local specialties at one of the many food stalls in the area.


      Youโ€™ll have free time for lunch to choose your own dining option at Oshino Hakkai. Sample some of the local specialties, such as Hoto noodles or Oshino Soba.


      In the afternoon, weโ€™ll visit Mount Fujiโ€™s 5th station, located at an elevation of 2300 meters above sea level. Here, you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and take in the awe-inspiring beauty of Mount Fuji (weather permitting).

  • Day 10 Mt Fuji - Tokyo (B, D)

      Head to Asakusa to visit the famous Sensoji temple and Nakamise shopping street. Immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of Tokyo as you explore the temple grounds and browse through the many shops selling traditional Japanese goods.


      Enjoy a farewell dinner of Chanko Nabe in the evening, a hot pot dish famously eaten by sumo wrestlers. Savour the delicious flavours of the stew while learning about the history and traditions of sumo wrestling.

      You will be transferred to the airport for your homebound flight at the appropriate time. Tokyo is serviced by two airports , Narita and Haneda, which are both accessible from Tokyo city. Make sure you check your flight details before going to the airport.
