After breakfast, explore Tromso on your own. Let yourself be enchanted by the capital of the Arctic Ocean with its breathtaking mountain panorama. Visit the striking Arctic Cathedral or learn interesting facts about the history and significance of polar research for the region at the Polar Museum (optional). From 1.12.-30.3. you will go on a wonderful aurora safari in the late afternoon. The microclimate around Tromso ensures a mostly clear, cloudless sky, so that nothing stands in the way of aurora sightings. You visit one of the aurora camps located around the city. Your guide will choose the camp with the best chances of sighting. Once there, you will be served dinner in a typical Lapp tent and your guide will give you valuable tips on photographing the aurora borealis. And then, with a bit of luck, you will experience the magical moment when the Northern Lights dance in bright colors in the sky. After returning to Tromso, take your luggage and board the "Postschiff" at 11:45 pm. The ship departs at 1:30 am. At the start of the tour 1.11.-30.11.and 1.4.-7.4. the afternoon is at leisure. On your way to Bjorkliden in Sweden, you will pass through one of the snowiest regions in Scandinavia. In Bjorkliden you have a breathtaking view of the most famous mountain formation in Lapland, the Lappentor (Lapporten). On the way to Kiruna, you will pass through Abisko National Park, the oldest national park in Europe. From December to February, it is worth taking a look at the sky in the afternoon, where, with a bit of luck, you will see the mystical Northern Lights dancing. Cab transfer to Jukkasjarvi.
