Day 2 Frousse Valley To Gavrio

Frousse Valley To Gavrio

Transfer to the Froussei Valley by car -in the morning after your breakfast- where your hiking day trip will start. This is where our trekking adventure starts, exploring the northern parts of the hiking trail network. You will walk across the river bed, the old watermills, and houses admiring these stone constructions in a very green scenery. Then the ascending trail will lead you to Amolochos village and while you keep going up the view of the sea will reward you. From the top, you veer to the west and you will start to descend to Gavrio’s valley and end at the harbor.

Day 3 Gavrio To Batsi

Gavrio To Batsi

The trek starts starts from your hotel. Take only the necessary and leave the rest to the reception. You will find your luggage at your next accommodation. Today you will visit while walking one of the most impressive monuments on the island, the Hellenistic Tower of St.Peter. After crossing the picturesque village the trail continues west and to the Monastery of “Agia” which is worth a visit. From then a nice descent with a view of the sea will lead you to the seaside beautiful Batsi.

Day 4 Batsi To Menites

Batsi To Menites

Have a good breakfast and get prepared for a demanding walking day. Your trek starts from your hotel following one of the oldest and longest routes on the island. Called “Fardia Strada” from the Venetian times the trail will lead you to Pitrofos Village, with splendid views of the sea while you cross the mountain. The Olive Oil Museum is worth a visit. From there, only a few kilometers are left to your last destination Menites, the greenest village on the island with the famous fountains.

Day 5 Menites To Korthi

Menites To Korthi

Today you are heading south. But after you cross the mountain of Gerakonas and visit the living monument, the Monastery of Panachrados. The challenging uphill walk on an excellent stone path will reward you with a visit. The continuation will find you crossing the beautiful rural landscape of the village of Vouni, to start descending towards the picturesque Ormos Korthi. You will cross beautiful picturesque villages overlooking the sea.

Day 6 Korthi To Andros Town

Korthi To Andros Town

Starting from Korthi and the well-preserved, with a lot of steps, trail you will reach the Upper Castle and admire the views of the Aegean. The trail continues towards the small gorge of Dipotamata, with the old stoned watermills, an area of absolute NATURA. Before ending in the capital town Hora, you cross the picturesque village of Sineti while you will experience beautiful rural landscapes.

Day 7 Andros Town (Circular)

Andros Town (Circular)

Starting from the town, today you walk a circular route exploring the beautiful and green villages, the shipment villages around Hora. Towards Apoikia, you cross a very green area with its ravine and the river Evrousies while you return to the town via an excellent cobbled path with splendid views.

Day 8 Vourkoti To Batsi

Vourkoti To Batsi

Today you get a transfer to Apoikia Village where you start your trek. One of the most beautiful routes of the network because of its diversity and the continuous landscape change. From the very beginning, you start to feel the mountainous character of the island and from the village of Vourkotei, you walk to the top. Magnificent views from the mountain ridge, impressively lush vegetation, and water abundance as you start to reach the most forested area of Andros, Arni. Refill your bottles from the springs and start your downhill to the other side of the hill to reach the coastline and the seaside of Batsi Town.
