About experience

Day 01: Arrival in Paro (2250m) โ€“ Thimphu (2350m)

Arrive in Paro and meet our representative. After lunch drive to Thimphu and visit Buddha Terrance, Takin Preserve,Tashichoe Dzong, National Memorial Chorten, Centenary Farmers Market, National Institute of Traditional Medicine, and Folk Heritage Museum. At the evening drive towards Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 02: Thimphu to Punakha (1310m)

After breakfast drive towards Punakha for about 1 and half hour passing across Dochula Pass (3,050m). Overnight at Hotel.

Day 03: Punakha โ€“ Gangtey (2320m)

Today drive to Gangtey crossing over Wangduephodrang Dzong, and then drive up a winding mountain road through oak and rhododendron forest, and over a high pass down into the Phobjikha valley. Enjoy 1ยฝ hours Gangtey nature trail from the monastery through the jungle before emerging to the valley floor. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 04: Gangtey โ€“ Bumthang (2800m)

Today, we drive 5 hours to Bumthang valley. On the way visit Trongsa Dzong. And then again drive and reach the Yotong La (3400m). Descending to a low point of 2650m at a village called Chumey; the scenery is once again totally different as the route enters the wide-open Bumthang valleys. It takes about an hour to get to the roadside at Chumey, the first of the four valleys in Bumthang. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 05: Bumthang Valley โ€“ sightseeing and walks in Jakar

After breakfast visit Jambay Lhakhang and continue to Kurjey Lhakang. After Kurjey, pay visit to Tamshing Lhakang. Later drive to Jakar. Overnight at hotel.

Day 06: Bumthang โ€“ Gangtey (2320m)

Early in the morning after breakfast drive for about 8 hours via same route towards Gangtey and check-in at hotel in Gangtey. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 07: Gangtey โ€“ Paro

After breakfast, drive back to Paro passing Dochula Pass for about 5 hours. Upon arrival at Paro check-in at Hotel. Later in the afternoon stroll around the streets of Paro.

Day 08: Paro โ€“ Hike to Taktsang Monastery (3210m)

After breakfast commence the hike towards the Taktsang Monastery for about 2-3 hours. Later while returning back pay visit to Kyichu Lhakhang. Overnight at Hotel.
