Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival to San Jose
Pass By: San Jose, San Jose, San Jose Metro, Province of San Jose
Arrive by air into San Jose. Upon arrival a representative from Costa Rican Trails will meet you at the baggage claim area and will indicate you the emplacement of our driver. Our representative will provide you with a welcome kit with a welcome letter, vouchers, map and a detailed itinerary of your holiday in Costa Rica. Enjoy a short drive to San Jose for your first night in Costa Rica.

Day 2: San Jose โ Tortuguero
Stop At: Tortuguero National Park, Tortuguero Costa Rica
Early morning pick up for the drive through the Braulio Carrillo National Park to the canals lining the Atlantic Coast, where the two-hour boat trip to Tortuguero starts. A typical breakfast is served on the way. Tortuguero National Park, with its 21,000 hectares of preserved tropical rain forest, provides one of the best opportunities to experience a wide range of tropical wildlife.
Arrive at the lodge for lunch. Afterwards take a hiking trip around the hotel property. It is amazing how so nearby your room you can find different kinds of monkeys, sloths, iguanas, poison arrow frogs and many birds and insects including the blue butterfly (Morpho peleides).
In the evening, after a delicious meal, you will relax along the canal's edge with a cocktail and enjoy the night sounds of the jungle.

Day 3: Tortuguero Canals
Stop At: Tortuguero Canal Terminal de Cruceros Japdeva Cruise Terminal, Puerto Limon 70101 Costa Rica
After breakfast, guests will enjoy a guided boat tour along the canals of Tortuguero national park. Entrance fee to Tortuguero National Park included.
Visit the canals within the National park to discover a large variety of birds and receive detailed information on the flora and fauna of the area.
Return to the lodge for lunch.
The lodge will then schedule a tour to the village in the afternoon. This tour will provide detailed information on its history, culture and work in favor of conservation of the sea turtles and the flora and fauna in general.
The entrance fee to the Caribbean Conservation office (CCC) is not included. USD 2 per person has to be paid directly to the CCC.

Day 4: Tortuguero - Arenal
Pass By: Arenal Volcano National Park, Arenal Volcano National Park, Province of Alajuela
Enjoy a scenic boat and bus transfer back to the town of Guapiles. Enjoy a delicious lunch before heading to the Arenal area. Take a shuttle transfer to Arenal.
Arenalโs perfectly symmetrical shape makes it a sightseerโs dream, while its abundance of outdoor activities makes it an easy place to check things off your โmust-do in Costa Ricaโ list. So visit one of the nicest volcanoes in Costa Rica, cloud forests, a lake world-famous for windsurfing and an incredibly diverse population of wildlife is just part of what you will find in this amazing area of Costa Rica.

Free morning to explore the Arenal area.
Afternoon pickup at the hotel for the scenic shared lake crossing transfer (boat-car) transfer to Monteverde.
The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is one of the most diverse and rich tropical cloud forests in the New World and home to the resplendent Quetzal and the rare bell bird. Monteverde is not only interesting for the Cloud Forest Reserveโs inhabitants, but also for its founders, the Quakers. This area will be your home-base for two nights. After check-in, feel free to explore your new surroundings.

Day 6: Shared Monteverde Cloud forest and Sky Trek-Tram tour
Stop At: Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, Monteverde, Province of Puntarenas
In the morning you will hike through the well marked trails of the Monteverde Cloud forest Reserve.
Then enjoy an afternoon adventure at the Sky Trek Zipline & Tram tour. This is a system of seven platforms suspended above the ground in the midst of tree boughs. Zip lines attached from one platform to another will allow you to slide with the use of special equipment. In Sky Tram explore the world famous Cloud Forest of Monteverde in a 5,249 feet ride that would lead you up to Costa Rica Continental Divide.
