Itinerary

Day 1: QUITO/GUAYAQUIL – BALTRA – SANTA CRUZ HIGHLANDS

Stop At: Santa Cruz Island, Ecuador
First of all, you fly from Quito or Guayaquil to Baltra Airport (it is highly recommended to book an early flight). At the Baltra airport, you meet up with our English speaking driver who will take you to the port of Puerto Ayora, but on the way, you will stop in the highlands of Santa Cruz Island to have your first encounter with the stunning nature of the Islands. After check in at your hotel, you will have a well-deserved rest and some time to explore the island and maybe catch a sea lion sleeping on a park bench.

Day 2: ISABELA ISLAND – TINTORERAS ISLET

Stop At: Las Tintoreras, Puerto Villamil Ecuador
Early in the morning, at 06:00 AM, you will catch a speedboat to Isabela Island. Here you check in in your hotel. You will have some time to get familiar with the area before you go to Tintoreras Islet. These rock formations are located in front of Isabela Island and are home to two different shark species. Here you will be able to snorkel and have your first experience with the wonders of Galapagos marine wildlife.

Day 3: ISABELA – SANTA CRUZ

Stop At: Santa Cruz Island, Ecuador
Today you will have a free morning in Isabela to walk around town or enjoy Puerto Villamil’s beach. You will have snorkeling equipment available all the time so you get to decide where and what to explore. In the afternoon you will take a public speedboat to Santa Cruz islands. In the afternoon you can go on a self-guided walk to Charles Darwin research station, where you can learn more about his theory of evolution of species, and even visit the Galapagos Breeding center.

Day 4: SANTA FE ISLAND SNORKELING

Stop At: Santa Fe Island, Ecuador
The departure will be around 8:00 AM. From the boat you will see various colonies: pelicans, gulls and perhaps blue footed boobies. In turquoise, calm waters in the bay of Santa Fé you will likely see a lot of sea lions. It is the ideal place to snorkel. Lunch will be on board. You will continue by boat until you arrive at Playa Escondida. Playa Escondida is a beautiful beach with clear water, the perfect place to enter the water one more time to swim and snorkel. You can also decide to go for a walk to observe the colonies of marine iguanas and their natural habitat. Until about 3:30 PM you can enjoy the beach, before heading back to Santa Cruz.

*According to Galapagos National Park regulations and availability, Santa Fe island visit can be changed for another uninhabited island.

Day 5: BALTRA AIRPORT

Stop At: Seymour Airport, Aeropuerto Seymour de Baltra, Isla Baltra Baltra, Ecuador
Bye Galapagos! On the last day, you will have breakfast, and then your guide will bring you back to Baltra airport to catch your flight to Quito or Guayaquil. The tour will end upon arrival to the airport.
