Day 3: Lantau Island Day Tour

On arrival in the township of Ngong Ping enjoy the 25 minute 5.7 kilometer cable car ride from Ngong Ping to the Giant Buddha with spectacular 360 degree views

Stop At: Po Lin (Precious Lotus) Monastery, Lantau Island, Hong Kong China
You will alight the Ngong Ping Cable Car adjacent to the Po Lin Monastery on the hills in central Lantau. Here you can climb the steps to the Giant Buddha and on a clear day see Macau in the distance across the Peril River delta At the Po Lin Monastery you will enjoy lunch.

Tai O Fishing Village, known as the “Venice of the East” and was once the largest village on Lantau Island. The village’s stilt houses on the waterfront, offer a glimpse into Hong Kong’s past and provide a striking contrast with the modern city. The tour includes a boat trip around the old fishing village to parts of the village which can not be seen from land.
