      Arrive in Beijing, the capital city of China, You will be met by our local driver at the airport with a TCT signboard, and then transfer you to check in your hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day for you to get over the jet lag.

      TCT local guide will meet you at your hotel lobby at the appointed time. It will be an exciting day as we will explore the worldโ€™s well-known wonders today. The 1st stop is the Temple of Heaven, the existing largest structure for sacrifice to heaven and a place where the emperors prayed for a year of abundance. On the visit to the Temple of Heaven, you will be astonished by the exquisite ancient Chinese architecture. Besides, you will see local seniors doing morning exercises in the square and full of vigor. You will have chance to watch Chinese Kongfu, Taichi, square dancing, playing cards, playing chess etc.


      Then Then you will enjoy a Beijing Hutong tour by rickshaw with a local family visit, which will give you a deep impression of the local residentsโ€™ live. Then we will have a stop at a Chinese courtyard and take a Chinese culture experience - Peking opera facial mask painting.


      A la carte lunch is served at a local restaurant to have a taste of the authentic Chinese food at noon time and have a break at the restaurant. 


      Then continue this Beijing city treasure tour by a visit to Tianโ€™anmen Square, the worldโ€™s largest city center square, the locality of numerous major political and historical events. It is the witness of Chinese development. It is only a walking distance from Tianโ€™anmen Square to Forbidden City, the worldโ€™s existing largest and most complete ancient wooden structure buildings. You will explore the glorious palace halls and gardens for more than 2 hours in Forbidden City, learning the legendary story of the emperors and how the royal family lived there. You will be stunned by the numerous old art treasures exhibited in halls. The memorable Beijing city tour for the 1st day ends by dropping off at your hotel lobby. 


      Note:  At night, alively and dramatic Chinese Kung Fu Show at the Red Theater or the Acrobatic Show can be your optional night entertainment.

      It will be an exciting day today. In the early morning, the guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby. Today we will visit the must-visit spot in Beijing--- Mutianyu Great Wall, one of the famous sections of Chinaโ€™s Great Wall. It takes about 2 hours to drive from downtown of Beijing to the Mutianyu Great Wall. Mutianyu Great Wall was first built in the mid-6th century during the Northern Qi, making it older than the Badaling section. (***Round way cable car are included at Mutianyu Great Wall***)

       

      A la carte lunch is arranged at a good restaurant at the foot of Mutianyu. Drive back to downtown of Beijing. When we reach Beijing, we will have a photo stop outside the Bird Nest and Water Cube, which were the famous sites constructed for 2008 Beijing Olympic. The tour finishes by dropping off at your hotel. If you would like to try local specialty tonight, you could ask for some suggestion about Peking Roast Duck Restaurant.

      In the morning, check out from the hotel and start to visit the last spot in Beijing --- Summer Palace, the existing largest, best-preserved imperial garden in China. Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake are regarded as the representatives of Summer Palace. In the park, you could choose to take a boating trip on the lake, enjoying the beautiful royal garden view. Walk along the Long Corridor--- the longest corridor in the world, admiring the extremely rich and prestigious paintings on the beams of the corridor.


      A la carte lunch will be arranged at a local restaurant on the way to Beijing West Railway Station to take high speed train (2nd class seat, duration: about 5-5.5 hours) from Beijing to Xiโ€™an. TCT guide will wait at the exit of Xiโ€™an train station with our signboard and transfer you to check in hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the time.

      Today we will have a full day to explore this historical and cultural city in China. Pick up from the hotel in the morning, and then have a visit to the landmark of Xiโ€™an---Xian City Wall. You could choose to have a bicycle ride on the city wall (***Bicycle riding is optional and excluded from our price***). 

       

      After that, we will drive to the highlights in Xiโ€™an ---the Terracotta Warriors. On the way to Terracotta Warriors, we will have a stop at a cave dwelling pottery workshop, where you will have chance to learn how to make a miniature terracotta warrior and discover the unique ancient housing style in north China.  A la carte lunch is arranged at a local restaurant nearby Terracotta Warriors. In the afternoon, we will have enough time to visit this world wonder --- Terracotta Warriors, one of the worldโ€™s most important archaeological finds, with troops, horses and carriages in battle formation.

       

      When you back to downtown, we will walk around Bell Tower Square and walk to the well-known Muslim Quarter, where you could  enjoy your shopping time  and challenge a variety of local snacks. The tour finishes by dropping-off at the hotel lobby.

      You will have a leisurely morning for you to walk around. Then our guide will meet you at the hotel and help you with check-out. Continue to visit Gaoโ€™s Courtyard, which is a wonderful choice for you to appreciate ancient residences and explore the local culture of shadow puppetry. Continue to our trip to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda North Plaza, from which you will have a photo stop at this landmark of Xian and enjoy the magnificent and world top music fountain show at the plaza at 12:00 ๏ผˆdepends on the availablity).

       

      Take a short flight from Xiโ€™an to Shanghai, one of the main gateway cities in China.

      The last day but still an inspiring day to explore the city of Shanghai, the largest and most modern city in mainland China. We will start the tour by walking into Nong Tang, the alleys in Shikumen, where you can witness the localsโ€™ relaxing and plain life. You will also find the unique architectural features of Shanghai. Then continue the day trip to Yuyuan Garden which is a Chinese classic garden in the city downtown. Then continue to explore the Yuyuan Bazaar (Chenghuangmiao Old Street) nearby.


      After a la carte lunch is served at a local restaurant, we continue our trip to the foot of The Oriental Pearl TV Tower to visit Shanghai City History Museum (The Former Shanghai Wax Museum), where you will know more about the history and development of Shanghai. Then take the elevator up to the 2nd ball of the TV tower, from which you will have a bird-eye view of Shanghai. Go on driving through Lujiazui, the finance & trade zone in Pudong of Shanghai, where you will find many skyscrapers. We will have a view of the modern skyline of Shanghai.


      Then back to the Bund, admire the illuminated buildings lining the Huangpu River. From the Bund, you could see the landmark of Shanghai--- the Oriental Pearl TV Tower as well as other high-rised buildings, just on the opposite of Huangpu River.

      You will have free time in the morning when you can explore Shanghai or shop around by yourselves. Check out from the hotel in Shanghai at 12:00. Our local driver will meet you at the hotel lobby and transfer you to Hongqiao Railway Station to take a high-speed train to Huangshan City (duration: about 3 hours). The local guide will meet and pick you up at the exit of Huangshan Bei Railway Station. You will be transferred to the hotel. Check in hotel and free at leisure for the rest of the day. You can walk around Tunxi Old Street by yourself.

      Note: About 5 hours on the Mountain and 2.5hours for traffic during the tour

       

      Our English-speaking guide will call your hotel one day in advance to confirm the meeting time. You will be picked up from the lobby of Huangshan International Hotel (Add: No. 31 Huangshan Road, Tunxi District, Huangshan City) at 07:30. 


      Then take the coach from Hangshan city to Huangshan Scenic Area (If foreign visitors less than 10 pax, sharing the coach with Chinese tourists, but with an English speaking guide for foreign visitors). The group will arrive at the entrance of Mt. Huangshan at 08:30-09:00, where you are arranged to take shuttle bus to Yungu cable station. You can take Yungu cable car to the top of Mt. Huangshan(cable car at your own expense: CNY80 per person per way).


      Upon arriving at the top, you start admiring Huangshan sightseeing by visiting White Goose Peak, the Beginning-to-Believe Peak, Black Tiger pine, the Lion Peak, a Monkey Gaping at the Sea, the Flower Grown out of Writing Brush Rock etc. on 09:30-14:30. Enjoy lunch on the top of Mt. Huangshan by yourself. Lunch will be on your own expense.


      The group starts to get down the mountain on foot. You can also choose to take Yungu cable car down to the foot. (Cable car at your own expense: CNY80 per person per way). Then we will take the coach back to Huangshan city at about 16:00-17:00.

  • Day 10 Huangshan - Shanghai: Hongcun Village, High Speed Train To Shanghai

      Check out from the hotel in the morning and deposit your luggage in the hotel, then we will spend half a day exploring Hongcun Village. As the field setting for Ang Leeโ€™s movie โ€œCrouching Tiger, Hidden Dragonโ€, Hongcun Village is a beautiful ancient village. It is often frequented by painters, capturing the blend of pools, willows and the ancient Hui-style architectures on Canvass.


      Our English-speaking guide will call to your hotel one day in advance to confirm the meeting time. You will be picked up from lobby of Huangshan International Hotel (Add: No. 31 Huangshan Road, Tunxi District, Huangshan city) at 08:00 in the morning. 


      Then you will take the bus to Hongcun Village for about 1.5 hours. As the fild seeting for Ang Leeโ€™s movie โ€œCrouching Tiger, Hidden Dragonโ€, Hongcun Village is a beautiful ancient village. It is often frequented by painters, capturing the blend of pools, willows and the ancient Hui-style architectures on Canvass. The group will visit Hongcun Village Scenic Area (including South Lake, Chengzhi Hall, Lexu Hall, Shuren Hall, etc.) on 09:30 โ€“ 11:30.


      The group will return to Huangshan City on 12:00-13:30. You will have enough time have a lunch on your own. Then our local driver will pick you up from hotel lobby and transfer to catch your high speed train to Shanghai. With a pick up from the exit of train station, we will transfer you to check in hotel in Shanghai with driver service for a break.
