A spectacle worth seeing is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle from Serengeti plains across the Tanzania border and the Mara River to reach Masai Mara grazing fields from late June. The dramatic crossing of the river and the preying on the migrants by predators can be viewed from early July to October. The reserve abounds with birdlife since dose to about 452 species has been recorded. Hot air balloon safaris are readily available in this park

The Great Migration is a truly awe-inspiring wildlife phenomena with stampeding hoofed mammals charging across the open plains and plunging into the crocodile-infested rivers in search of fresh grazing. Of course, these great herbivore numbers attract an array of eager predators, in addition to the hungry crocs.

Day 6: Masai Mara โ Lake Nakuru National park
Stop At: Lake Nakuru National Park, Lake Nakuru National Park, Rift Valley Province
Breakfast then drive Lake Nakuru National park- to arrive in good time for lunch at Flamingo hill lodge afternoon game drives the scenic park famed for numerous species of birdlife especially the pink flamingoes. dinner and overnight stay at Flamingo Hill Lodge Lake Nakuru, a shallow alkaline lake in the Rift Valley, renowned for its spectacular flamingo population as one of the worldโs greatest ornithological spectacles. Although Lake Nakuru is primarily a bird sanctuary, there are a considerable number of animals to be encountered, such as many large game animals such as zebras, elephants, and gazelles, this is one of our best chances of seeing rhinos. Lake Nakuru National Park was the first place in Kenya selected as a rhino reserve. Here is one of the few places where we can see Rothschildโs giraffes.

Day 7: Lake Nakuru - Sweet waters Game Reserve
Stop At: Lake Nakuru National Park, Lake Nakuru National Park, Rift Valley Province
After breakfast, we depart to Sweetwaters game reserve arriving in time for lunch. Game drives here reveal the full range of African wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, and hippo. Enjoy a private visit with the tame animals at the wildlife orphanage. Observe chimps from the Jane Goodall Institute at the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Optional activities include walking safaris escorted by a local ranger, bird walks with several hundred species to observe, horseback and camel rides. Early breakfast at your hotel, short game en-route, Leave sweetwaters for Samburu pass the equator to Samburu land. arriving with a short game drive in time for lunch and check-in at Sopa Lodge have lunch and relax. In the afternoon we go watching crocodiles basking on the muddy riverbanks and velvet monkeys frolicking in the Sun. Samburu Park has unique resident wildlife species like the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevyโs Zebra, Beisa Oryx, and the Blue legged Somali Ostrich. Dinner and overnight at Sopa Lodge.

Much of the reserve consists of the desert landscape โ dusty red plains broken by thorny scrub, featuring dramatic views of tabletop Mt Ol Olokwe on the horizon.
