  • Day 1 Arrival In Lanzhou

      ? When you arrive at Lanzhou airport (please arrive before 5 pm), the local driver will pick you up from the exit gate.


      ? At around 5 pm, the local English-speaking guide and driver will meet you all at the hotel lobby and visit Huanghe River Custom Tourist Line. You will see the Yellow River Mother Sculpture, Zhongshan Iron Bridge, White Pagoda Hill Park, Waterwheel Park, and so on.


      After that, The tour guide will also take you to one of the must-see local food streets for authentic Lanzhou food.

  • Day 2 Lanzhou - Zhangye, 3Hrs High-Speed Train

      ? After breakfast, head to Lanzhou train station for your morning train to Zhangye.


      ? In Zhangye, visit the Matisi Grottoes. You will be amazed at the incredible combination of Buddhist temples and mountain grottoes here.

  • Day 3 Zhangye Tour

      After breakfast, you will visit Zhangye Giant Buddhist Temple ?. There is a gigantic sleeping Buddha statue of Sakyamuni, the largest scale in Asia inside the temple.


      ? In the afternoon, go to the exciting Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park to visit the Rainbow Mountain Scenic Area.


      ? At the end of the visit, drive to Kaoshan Tent, near Rainbow Mountain for an overnight stay.


      ? Important Note: NO private bathroom in the tent, only public baths and toilets.

  • Day 4 Zhangye - Jiauyguan

      After breakfast, we will continue to visit Danxia National Geological Park with Ice Valley Mountain Scenic Area, Binggou Mountain in Chinese, earns its fame mainly with its graceful shapes. ?


      After driving through the yellow sand of the desert, you will come to Jiayuguan Pass, known as the "First and Greatest Pass Under Heaven". 


      Last, you will be taken to admire the Overhanging Great Wall, named for its position on the mountain ridge of 45 degrees, resembling hanging upside down in the sky. ?

  • Day 5 Jiayuguan - Dunhuang

      ? After breakfast, drive around 4-5 hours to Dunhuang.


      ? In the afternoon, when itโ€™s not too hot, go to the exciting Crescent Spring and Echo Sand Mountain. 


      There are many entertainment activities available in the desert, like camel rides, and sand buggies etc., if you are interested in trying, please pay on your own at the spot (optional). ?


      Afterwards, come to Shazhou Night Market, where you will find the special vitality of this northwest city remoting from the country center during your leisure strolling.

  • Day 6 Dunhuang - Urumqi

      Dunhuang - Urumqi

      ? In the morning, you will head to the amazing Mogao Grottoes. As the existing anthology of Buddhist art with the biggest scale and the best preservation in the world, Mogao Caves wins fame as "the pearls of oriental art".


      ? In the afternoon, you will head to Dunhuang Liuyuan Train Station for a 4.5-hour high-speed train to Urumqi.


      Upon arrival, a local driver will pick you up and transfer you to the local hotel. Free on your own in the evening time. ?

  • Day 7 Urumqi Tour

      ? After hotel breakfast, drive around 1.5 hours to the amazing Heaven Lake, a picturesque Alpine lake that is 2,000m up in the Tianshan mountain range. You can choose to absorb the beautiful surroundings by taking a cruise or trekking along the lake... 


      ? Note: Taking a cruise on the lake is an optional activity, which will be at your own expense if you want to experience it.


      ? Afterwards, move on to Xinjiang Museum. With a huge number of collections, the museums focus on showing the long history and splendid cultures of Xinjiang, plus its diverse minority ethnic cultures.


      Last, go to explore Xinjiang International Bazaar. Itโ€™s one of the bazaars with the largest scale in the world with a strong Islam flavor in its buildings.

  • Day 8 Urumqi - Turpan

      Urumqi - Turpan

      ? This morning we will drive to Turpan. Start your visit with Jiaohe Ruins, which resembles Pompei, but 300 years older.


      Then, discover the brilliant project of the Karez System, regarded as one of Chinaโ€™s Three Greatest Ancient Projects.


      Later, move on to Sugong Pagoda, you will witness this typical Islamic architecture with the largest scale among all pagodas in Xinjiang.

  • Day 9 Turpan - Urumqi
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Turpan - Urumqi

      ? After breakfast, drive to Tuyu Valley along Flaming Mountains, which condenses the essence of the landscape of Flaming Mountain - the hottest spot in Turpan. You will have an exterior look at the mountain when we are driving through it.


      The winding road on the cliff of Flaming Mountain will soon lead you to Tuyugou Valley, which is a Uighur valley with lots of historical sites.


      Gaochang Ruins is situated at Mutougou Delta about 40 kilometres east of downtown Turpan. It is the central town of Turpan Basin from the Western Han Dynasty to the Yuan and Ming Dynasties (1st century BC-14th century AD).


      Last, visit the Astana Tombs, the place where the ancient people of Gaochang city are buried (from the Western Jin to Tang Dynasty) and the site houses over 500.


      At the end of the visit, drive to Urumqi for an overnight stay.
