Head to the south of the island of Zanzibar, where the Jozani Forest awaits you. Take a 3-hour tour through its stunning scenery, experiencing the wonder and delight of your natural surroundings.

The forest is home to a number of endemic species, including the Zanzibar red Columbus monkey. The mangrove boardwalk takes you above the swamp, where, depending on the tide, you can see tropical fish flitting between the mangrove roots and crabs scuttling across the mud.

Your park ranger will take you on a nature trail, lined with eucalyptus and mahogany trees, and explain the medicinal properties of various plants. As you walk, learn about the animals, birds, and reptiles that make their home in the various habitats of this tropical rain forest.

After breakfast you will check out nd transfered to Stone Town where you will take a private boat ride to Prison Island; the Island is now home to the infamous prison ruins and tortoise sanctuary, famous for its giant tortoises. Observe the so intriguing creatures leisurely shuffling through the trees, whilst adventurous. After the Island trip you will take a short drive to Spice Farm for a Private Swahili Lunch. After lunch you will have time to go around the Spice plantation center for a short tour where you will be roaming through the fragrant spice plantations of Zanzibar and breathe in the scent of an infused past. Led by a friendly and professional guide, get an exclusive insight into the farms of this 3-hour tour.

Nowadays the plantations are à tribute to the island’s colonial past. This is an excellent chance to learn about the turbulent history of the Island, later drive slowly to Tembo Hotel - Stone Town checking in for overnight.

Picked up from the hotel and drive to Fumba, For an unforgettable day in Zanzibar a post breakfast drive will take you to Fumba Village, where you will hop on a traditional dhow boat to sail to the breath taking Minai Bay home to a cluster of beautiful, uninhabited islands. Once you reach the destination, the dhow boat will be anchored in an idyllic spot, allowing you to swim around the island, snorkeling along the rich coral reefs, spot the frolicking dolphins or explore the pristine islets. Your day will have interrupted mouthwatering buffet lunch on Kwale Island, where you can tuck into succulent calamari, freshly grilled fish, huge lobster and juicy tropical fruits under the shade of makuti roof facing the Indian Ocean. After a fantastic day out in the sun, you will return to Fumba Village on a lanteen sail back.

Explore the narrow alleys and winding streets of stone town on this historic look at Zanzibar’s oldest neighborhood. Check out spice bazaars and palaces, see where Rock Legend Freddie Mercury was raised, and pay a visit to a 19th-Century church built atop the site of a former slave market.

Named because of its prevalent use of coral as a building material, Zanzibar’s Stone Town is filled with dense road ways too small for most modern cars. Explore the area by foot with your guide, starting at the House of Wonders. Built as a palace for the second Sultan of Zanzibar, this modern-looking residence was the first building in Zanzibar to have electricity and then continue on to uncover the hidden treasures elsewhere in stone Town.

Pop by the first home of Freddie Mercury, rock legend and lead singer of Queen, snap photos of the weather-worn walls of the 17th-century Old Fort, used to defend the island from the Portuguese, and check out the Christ Church, whose coral stone walls were built atop the site of a former slave market. Before you head back to hotel, make one final stop at a bustling market, where you can weave between spice vendors and antique dealers, letting the aroma of exotic foods lure you to new discoveries, tastes, and one-of-a-kind souvenirs.
