  • Day 2 Day 2: Yerevan - Echmiadzin - Zwartnots - Yerevan

      Day 2: Yerevan - Echmiadzin - Zwartnots - Yerevan

      After breakfast you will meet your guide and start a city tour of Yerevan. Drive to Echmiadzin - the place where the only begotten descended. Holy Echmiadzin is the spiritual center of Armenians and one of the centers of Christianity in the whole world. You will participate in the Sunday liturgy. Return to Yerevan with a stop at the ruins of Zvartnots Temple - the pearl of 7th century architecture, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After lunch break, visit Tsitsernakaberd with a walk through the Memorial Park, visit to the Museum of Genocide Victims and Cafesjian Show Room. Afterwards visit to Vernissage Flea Market, the place where you can get a small taste of Armenia and experience the fusion of national traditions, arts and crafts with contemporary taste.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Yerevan - Guymri - Yerevan

      Day 3: Yerevan - Guymri - Yerevan

      Today you will travel by train to the city of Gyumri. The ancient city, famous not only for the humor of its inhabitants and preservation of authentic traditions, but also for its many sights. Gyumri is the second largest city in Armenia. You will start on foot in the large Freedom Square. On both sides of the main square of Gyumri there are two remarkable churches. The stately building made of black tuff stone is the Church of the Holy Mother of God in Surb Astvatsatsin, or Seven Wounds, in Armenia. It is different from most Armenian churches. Modern khachkars can also be found in the streets of the city. The art of making these intricate carvings is included in the UNESCO intangible world cultural heritage. Afterwards visit of the Dzitoghtsyan museum. This museum was the home of the wealthy Dzitoghtsyan family and today is dedicated to presenting the rich culture and life of Gyumri in the 19th century. Then return to Yerevan by train.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Yerevan - Khor Virap - Noravank - Yerevan

      Day 4: Yerevan - Khor Virap - Noravank - Yerevan

      Today you will start the day with a visit to Khor Virap Monastery from the 17th century, located right on the Armenian-Turkish border. Translated, Khor Virap means "Deep Pit" and is associated with the Christianization of Armenia. From here there is an incomparable view of the biblical mountain of Armenians, Ararat. Continue to Noravank Monastery, a religious and cultural center dating back to the 13th century. It is located in a narrow gorge known for its high, steep, brick-red cliffs, directly opposite the monastery. It is the only monastery where a sculpture of the Father of God can be found. Drive back to the capital.


  • Day 5 Day 5: Yerevan - Lake Sevan - Garni - Geghard - Yerevan

      Day 5: Yerevan - Lake Sevan - Garni - Geghard - Yerevan

      In the early morning you will drive to the picturesque Lake Sevan, the "Blue Pearl" of Armenia, situated in the high mountains. You will visit the 9th century Sevanank Monastery, impressively situated on a peninsula. We will continue to the Garni Temple, which is perched on a triangular promontory. It is the only preserved example of pagan culture in Armenia. After the adoption of Christianity in 301, the pagan temple lost its importance and the fortress of Garni became the summer residence of kings. After lunch break drive to Geghard Monastery, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Geghard Monastery is an unsurpassable masterpiece of 13th century Armenian architecture. Some of the churches of the complex are masterfully carved into a huge rock. The complex is rich in subtle sculptural decorations and many prominent khachkars (cross stones). Return to Yerevan.

      After breakfast departure to Georgia. Direct transfer from your hotel to the Georgian-Armenian border - Sadakhlo border (without tour guide).


      Meeting of the new tour guide and completion of all border formalities. Entry into Georgia and drive to Tbilisi, a charming city built in the 5th century along the winding valley of the Mtkvari River. All sights are in close proximity and within a few minutes walking distance. You will start your excursion on the plateau of Metekhi (13th century) before arriving at Narikala Fortress (4th century), which dominates the silhouette of the old town. Continue to the underground sulfur baths with brick domes (17th c.) - the district with naturally hot springs, cafes and the oldest basilica Anchiskhati from the 6th century. Walk across the Peace Bridge, from the newly created Rike Park to the Old Town.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Tbilisi - Tsinandali - Kvareli - Gremi - Alaverdi - Tbilisi

      After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Kakheti region - Georgiaโ€™s main wine growing area and home to hundreds of historical and architectural monuments. Visit Tsinandali - a village famous for its vineyard and historic winery. Wine tasting is on the agenda here. Then drive to visit the fortress complex of Gremi (16th century). Gremi was the capital of the Kingdom of Kakheti (1466-1616 years). After that you will visit Alaverdi monastery. It was built in the 11th century and was one of the tallest structures of that time. In the surrounding yards there are vineyards from which the monks produce their own wine. In the evening return to Tbilisi.

  • Day 8 Day 8: Tbilisi - Mtskheta - Uplishiche - Gori - Gudauri

      Day 8: Tbilisi - Mtskheta - Uplishiche - Gori - Gudauri

      After breakfast at the hotel you will drive to Mtskheta - the ancient capital of Georgia, an important religious center with a city museum listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On the way you will visit Jvari Monastery dating back to the 6th century. This famous monastery is located on the top of the mountain, at the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers. Continue to Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century), known as the place where Christโ€™s robe was buried. Walk through the narrow streets of Mtskheta before continuing to Gori, the birthplace of Soviet leader Stalin. Photo stop at the Stalin Museum and continue to the cave city of Uplistsikhe (1st millennium BC) - one of the first rock-cut cities in Georgia. The caves were the scene of pagan rituals before Georgia became a Christian country. Dinner and overnight in Gudauri.

  • Day 9 Day 9: Gudauri - Kazbegi - Ananuri - Tbilisi

      After breakfast you will start a scenic drive through the High Caucasus Mountains along the Georgian Military Road towards Kazbegi region. On the way you will cross the Cross Pass (2,395 m) and drive along the Tergi River, which will take you to Kazbegi, the main town of this region. From the center you will walk to the Trinity Church of Gergeti (14th century), breathtakingly located on a hill (2170 m) overlooking the surrounding snow-capped peaks of the Great Caucasus Mountains. Here you will enjoy the unique nature with a magnificent panoramic view of the Caucasus, including Mount Kazbegi (5047 m.). Afterwards, return to Tbilisi. On the way visit Ananuri architectural complex (17th century) overlooking a reservoir on the Aragvi River. Dinner and overnight in Tbilisi.

      After breakfast drive to the Georgian-Azerbaijani border - Lagodekhi (without tour guide). Meeting of the new tour guide and completion of all border formalities. Continue to Sheki, one of the oldest cities in Azerbaijan, located on the picturesque slopes of the Caucasus Mountains against the backdrop of snow-capped peaks. Here you will visit the caravanserai and the palace of the Sheki Khans (1762) - a rare example of the combination of national architecture and traditions of palace architecture. There is hardly a second palace of this kind in terms of design and interior decoration. It is known that not a single nail was used in the construction of the palace. The mosaic in is made in traditional style Shebeke (colored glass decoration). A trip to the Kish temple completes the program.

      After breakfast drive to Shemakha, an ancient city of Azerbaijan founded in the 5th century BC. In the 11th-16th centuries it was the capital of the Kingdom of Shirvan and the residence of the Shirvanshahs. Shemakha was one of the most beautiful cities of the East. Shemakha district is interesting not only for its rich nature, but also for its ancient history. Despite numerous earthquakes, many historical monuments have been preserved. In the evening drive to Baku.

      After breakfast, start the Baku city tour from Martyโ€™s Lane, a highland park that connects the city center with a cable car. From the park there is a beautiful panoramic view of the city and Baku Bay. Continue to Maidenโ€™s Tower - the landmark of Baku, a symbol of the city and Azerbaijan. Continue to the Juma Mosque, which has been in operation since the 12th century. Then you will visit Shirvanshah Palace - the most impressive example of medieval palace structures in Azerbaijan. Then you will drive to Gobustan, located on the southeastern foothills of the Great Caucasus Mountains, 60 km south of Baku. It is a montane semi-desert crossed by numerous gullies and ravines, and Gobustan translates as "ravine land". Return to Baku and visit the Bibi-Heybat Mosque. Then visit the famous carpet museum. Finally, walk through the Baku Boulevard.
