  • Day 1 Day 1: Arrival Yellowknife
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 1: Arrival Yellowknife

      Transfer to your hotel and meet your guide who will tell you some things about your upcoming adventure. The rest of the day you can stroll around the small town, which is located on the Great Slave Lake. In the evening we will welcome you with a welcome dinner and you will get to know the other tour participants.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Yellowknife

      Day 2: Yellowknife

      We drive along the Ingraham Trail and visit Cameron Falls. Hiking, canoeing or boating on Prelude Lake are tempting on the route. We stop here for a small picnic. In winter, the Ingraham Trail is the starting point for one of the famous "Ice Roads" from the series Ice Road Truckers. An evening visit to a bar in Yellowknife concludes a great first day.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Day Drive To Fort Providence

      Day 3: Day Drive To Fort Providence

      Yellowknife is not only the capital of the Northwest Territories, but is known worldwide as the Diamond Capital. The small city with the amenities of a big city is made up of more than 90 different nations. Once founded on wealth from gold mines, diamonds now provide a certain glamour. There is much to see here and even more to do! Canoeing, hiking, fishing, golfing and swimming. We visit the Prince of Wales Cultural Centre and/or the igloo-shaped Parliament Building. The drive to Fort Providence passes through the Mackenzie Bison Sanctuary, a sanctuary for bison. Watch for wildlife on and off the road. Along the way, stop for a picnic lunch at Chan Lake - a picturesque place to eat and enjoy. If we are lucky, we will have the opportunity to watch the Northern Lights live at night.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Drive To Hay River

      Day 4: Drive To Hay River

      We visit the craft store in Fort Providence. There you will find a rich selection of woven goods made of moose hair. In the afternoon, the drive continues to Hay River. Hay River itself is the starting point for tours on or to Great Slave Lake and is known from the series "Ice Pilots". At the airport there you will surely see a plane of the famous "Buffalo Air". We will take a small fishing boat tour on the impressive Great Slave Lake.

  • Day 5 Day 5: Hay River

      Day 5: Hay River

      From Hay River we take a trip to Twin Falls Gorge TerritorialPark and enjoy the approximately 2 km long hiking trail between Alexandra and Louise Falls. The Louise Falls have cut their way through 400 million year old rock. The Dene Indians of this area call Alexandra Falls "Hatto deh Naili", the "Sacred Place of Power". With luck we will also see some bison / buffalo from nearby Wood Buffalo National Park.

  • Day 6 Day 6: Drive To Fort Simpson

      Day 6: Drive To Fort Simpson

      On the drive to Fort Simpson, we detour to Lady Evelyn Falls and McNallie Creek Falls - a picnic opportunity with scenic views! Hiking trails take us to picturesque waterfalls and a deep gorge. With a population of 1,200, Fort Simspon, located at the confluence of the Liard and Mackenzie Rivers, is the largest in the region and also the starting point for tours into Nahanni National Park. Visit the visitor center to inquire about tours into the park.

  • Day 7 Days 7-8: Fort Simpson

      Days 7-8: Fort Simpson

      On one of the two days in Fort Simpson you can take a small plane to the Nahanni National Park and land directly above the breathtaking Virgina Falls (optional). During the flight there you wonโ€™t be able to stop marveling at the magnificent scenery. The other day we will use to get to know Fort Simpson. There are possibilities to go jet-boating on the Mackenzie River, paddling through the park on the South Nahanni or Flat River or a short hike. The numerous mountains and canyons make for great hikes that are rewarded with fantastic views.

  • Day 8 Day 9: Drive To Fort Nelson

      Day 9: Drive To Fort Nelson

      Shortly after leaving Fort Simpson, we drive south on the Liard Highway. The natural road, which is passable in any weather, promises impressive panoramic views of the Nahanni Mountains and the Liard River, especially in the "Blackstone Territorial Park". We pass, among other places, the small town of Fort Liard, made of log cabins in one of the oldest permanently settled areas in the North. The birch bark baskets made here, decorated with traditional Dene Indian patterns, are famous throughout the North. Welcome to British Columbia and our destination today, Fort Nelson. Formerly a fur trading center, Fort Nelson is now devoted mainly to the lumber and gas industries.

  • Day 9 Day 10: Drive To Muncho Lake Provincial Park

      Day 10: Drive To Muncho Lake Provincial Park

      On the way to Muncho Lake Provincial Park it will be almost impossible not to see animals: Nearly unpopulated northeastern British Columbia is home to mountain goats, bison, moose, caribou, deer, as well as wolves, coyotes, foxes, grizzlies, black bears and lynx. Take time to photograph along the way.

  • Day 10 Day 11: Muncho Lake Provincial Park

      Day 11: Muncho Lake Provincial Park

      In the heart of Canadaโ€™s northern Rocky Mountains, abundant wildlife awaits. Discover the "Serengeti of the North," the Muskwa-Kechika Nature Reserve. Hike mountain trails in Muncho Lake Provincial Park.
      Today we will do some hiking in the beautiful Provincial Park. If you like, spend a few hours canoeing on Muncho Lake. Great chance to relax with peace and wilderness. There is also the possibility to visit the nearby Liard Hot Springs, probably the most beautiful hot springs in Canada.

  • Day 11 Day 12: Watson Lake

      Day 12: Watson Lake

      Welcome to the Yukon! We continue on the Alaska Highway to Watson Lake. The town is known for its sign forest, which now includes about 50,000 road, place and other signs from around the world. If you have one in your suitcase, you can put it there. In Watson Lake in the evening there is the possibility to go to the Northern Lights Space and Science Centre and watch one of the magnificent Northern Lights shows.

  • Day 12 Day 13: Whitehorse

      Day 13: Whitehorse

      We drive the Alaska Highway to the capital of the Yukon. With the "Nisutlin Bay Bridge" you will cross the longest bridge on the Alaska Highway, pass Teslin and Marsh Lake before we arrive in Whitehorse. On the way you will learn a lot about the legendary structure, the Alaska Highway.

  • Day 13 Day 14: Drive To Skagway

      Day 14: Drive To Skagway

      Day tour and visit to the old coastal gold mining town of Skagway. We head south on the Klondike Highway. Scenic sights invite to short stops. For example at the Carcross Desert - the smallest desert in the world - and of course you will be able to marvel at Emerald Lake. This lake was also called Rainbow-Lake by the locals because of its sensational water coloring. Possibility to take part in a spectacular train ride over the infamous White Pass (optional). Farewell dinner in the evening.

  • Day 14 Day 15: Departure Whitehorse

      Day 15: Departure Whitehorse

      Today it is time to say goodbye. Your guide will take you to the airport in Whitehorse and say goodbye to you. For those visitors whose flight does not depart Whitehorse until the afternoon, there is still a small sightseeing tour of the city on the Yukon. Among other things, you can marvel at the impressive paddle steamer SS Klondike and experience something of the past gold rush.
