      You will fly to Vilnius. You will be met at the airport and escorted to the hotel. In the evening you will meet your tour guide and fellow travelers at an information session. 2 nights in Vilnius.

      Your day begins in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Under expert guidance, discover the picturesque Old Town with its winding streets and baroque churches. Then enjoy lunch together before hiking through Varnikai Nature Park (easy, 3.5 km, walking time: approx. 1-1.5 hrs, +/-10 meters altitude gain) and visit the medieval Trakai Water Castle. (B/M)

      Day 3: Port City Klaipda And Unesco World Heritage Site Curonian Spit

      After breakfast you will drive to the port town of Klaipda and walk through the old town with its old half-timbered houses. Afterwards, you will go on a beautiful coastal hike in the Pajris Nature Park. You will hike along the cliffs through fragrant pine forests (easy, 4 km, approx. 1.5 hrs, +/-50 hm). 2 nights in Klaipda (B).

      Day 4: Unique Curonian Spit (Unesco World Heritage Site)

      A full day in the largest nature reserve in Lithuania! You will cross over to the unique Curonian Spit, a narrow romantic strip of land between the Curonian Lagoon and the Baltic Sea. From Juodkrant, probably the oldest village on the Curonian Spit, you will walk to the legendary Witch Mountain. The approx. 40 artistically carved wooden sculptures bring old legends and fairy tales to life. Afterwards you walk up to the spectacular sand dune "Tote Dรผne". It is the longest dune in Lithuania (easy, approx. 1.8 km, approx. 1 hr +/-50 hm). The picturesque artist village Nida, one of the most beautiful places on the Baltic Sea, impresses with colorful wooden houses. During a tour of Thomas Mannโ€™s summer house, you will gain insights into the life of the writer and Nobel Prize winner for literature. (F)

      Day 5: Palanga Resort And Pape Nature Park

      In the morning you will drive to the spa town of Palanga, which impresses with its long beach and small town center. In the afternoon you will cross the border to Latvia and walk in the Pape Nature Park through an untouched forest and pasture landscape. Here you will visit a reserve for wild horses and aurochs and learn interesting facts about the history of the park and the life of the animals (easy, 2-3 km, approx. 1 hr, flat). 1 night in Liepja.       The port and artist town of Liepja stretches over 20 kilometers along the coast. You walk through the town center to the large beach park. After that, you will visit the Karosta district of Russia, where you feel transported back to Soviet times. The highlight is the Orthodox Trinity Cathedral. After that, you will drive to the โ€œBaltic Rivieraโ€, the spa town of Jrmala. It impresses with its miles of sandy beach, pretty wooden houses and elegant villas. In the evening you can reach Riga. 2 nights there. (F)

      Day 7: The Soul Of Latvia

      You will get to know the Latvian capital, situated on the banks of the Daugava River, during a guided tour: the picturesque Old Town (UNESCO World Heritage Site) with its craftsmenโ€™s alleys, the Blackhead House and the Cathedral (outside visit). Then you will stroll through the Central Market and marvel at the Latvian specialties in the five halls. In the afternoon you will have time to discover the city individually. (F)

      Day 8: Gauja National Park - Hiking, Turaida Castle And Csis

      Relaxed hike along densely forested hills through the Gauja National Park (easy, 6 km, approx. 2 hrs, +/-50 hm). Picturesque views over the valley of the Gauja River are offered from the tower of Turaida Castle. The old Hanseatic town of Csis with its traditional wooden houses will impress you during a walking tour. 2 nights in Csis. (B/M)

      You will hike along the Amata River with fantastic views of the high, red sandstone cliffs that make up the charm of the national park (easy, 4 km, approx. 1 hr, +/-50 hm). Afterwards, visit a cave in Ligatne, where a winemaking family will explain how they make their local wine. At the end, enjoy the delicious drop. (F)

  • Day 10 Day 10: Gauja National Park - Rgu Rocks - Tartu, Spiritual Center Of Estonia

      Day 10: Gauja National Park - Rgu Rocks - Tartu, Spiritual Center Of Estonia

      You will walk along the rgu rocks, one of the most significant natural objects in the Gauja National Park. rgu means organ, because here the echoes are said to sound like an organ. The monolithic sandstone rock face is up to 22 meters high. From here you can enjoy a view of the glacial valley of the Gauja River (easy, 2.3 km, approx. 1 hr, +/-200 hm). Afterwards you will drive to Estonia to the traditional student town Tartu. In the evening you will reach Lahemaa National Park. 2 nights at the park. (F)

      Experience the quiet beauty of untouched nature on a hike along the "Beaver Trail" from the clear Oandu River to the fishing village of Altja. With a little luck you may even see beavers (easy, 6 km, approx. 2 hrs, +/-50 hm). You will then walk through the 400 year old fishing village in typical North-Eastland style. Afterwards you will hike along solid wooden paths through bog and swamp landscapes of the Viru high moor (easy, 3.5 km, approx. 1 hr, +/-0 hm). (F)

      s Let yourself be enchanted by the medieval charm of Tallinn during a guided city tour. In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to explore on your own. During a farewell dinner you will review the trip. 1 night in Tallinn. (B/A)
