      You will fly to Vilnius. You will be met at the airport and escorted to the hotel. In the evening you will meet your tour guide and fellow travelers at an information session. 1 night in Vilnius.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Vilnius, Trakai And Kaunas

      Day 2: Vilnius, Trakai And Kaunas

      After breakfast, you will discover Vilnius, the "Pearl of Baroque" and impressive capital of Lithuania (UNESCO World Heritage Site) during a city tour. You are sure to be impressed by the historic Old Town with monuments from the 16th to 18th centuries on Pillies Street, the Town Hall Square and the Gate of Dawn, as well as the University, one of the oldest in Eastern Europe. At noon you will dine together in a local restaurant. Afterwards, you will drive to the town of Trakai, surrounded by five lakes, and have the opportunity to visit the medieval Trakai Water Castle (approx. โ‚ฌ12 p.p., payable locally). In the afternoon, visit the picturesque old town of Kaunas with its pretty merchant houses. 1 night there. (B/M)

      Day 3: Spa Town Palanga, Port City Klaipeda And Unique Curonian Spit

      Today you will drive along the Memel River through impressive landscapes and past medieval castles and manor houses. On the way, you will climb a rampart castle, reminiscent of the dramatic Crusades. From up here, youโ€™ll enjoy views of the beautiful Memel countryside. Afterwards, on the Lithuanian Baltic coast, you will visit the popular resort town of Palanga with the former castle of Count Tischkevitsch, the 470-meter-long pier, the many wooden houses and the well-kept botanical garden. The former fishing village of Klaipeda is today the most important port city in Lithuania. During a guided city tour you will experience the historic old town before transferring to the Curonian Spit in the evening. The Curonian Spit separates the Curonian Lagoon from the Baltic Sea and is the largest nature reserve in Lithuania (UNESCO World Heritage Site). 2 nights in Nida. (F)

      The highest dunes in Northern Europe, the rushing sea, the rustling sand, old houses and the smell of fish will accompany you today on the Curonian Spit (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Nida is one of the most beautiful places on the Baltic Sea due to its location on the Curonian Lagoon and the mixture of an original fishing village and a modern seaside resort. The village captivates with its colorful wooden houses and the house of Thomas Mann, which the Nobel Prize winner used as a summer residence, especially to enjoy the beautiful view of the lagoon and the beach. After the sightseeing, enjoy a free afternoon according to your own ideas. How about a bike ride, a hike in the dunes or a relaxing sunbath on the golden beach? (F)

      Day 5: Pakruojis Manor And Rundale Baroque Castle

      In the morning you will visit the listed Pakruojis manor house, which belonged to the German-Baltic Ropp family and consists of 43 buildings. During a guided tour you will learn not only historical data, but also interesting facts about the former owners. During a typical lunch in an inn you will strengthen yourself for the onward journey to Latvia. You will visit the magnificent baroque Rundale Castle, which the duke of Courland had built as a summer residence in the 18th century by the builder of the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg. It is considered the largest and most beautiful castle in the Baltic States. In the evening you will reach Riga, where you will spend the next two nights. (B/M)

      You will explore the Latvian capital and largest city of the Baltic States under expert guidance. Riga impresses with medieval buildings, old wooden houses and art nouveau buildings. Together you will experience the highlights of the Old Town (UNESCO World Heritage Site), such as the famous cathedral, St. Peterโ€™s Church, the Blackhead House and the Swedish Gate. Afterwards, stroll through Rigaโ€™s Central Market, the oldest market in Eastern Europe, and enjoy a selection of Latvian specialties. In the afternoon, you will have time to explore the city individually. We recommend a stroll through the narrow streets with their souvenir stores and art galleries. (F)

      Day 7: Latvian Switzerland - Gauja National Park

      Wooded hills and deeply incised glacial valleys of the Gauja River make the special charm of the national park. From the tower of the imposing ruins of Turaida Castle you can enjoy breathtaking views of the picturesque valley and the Gauja River. Then continue to the old Hanseatic town of Csis, which impresses with its narrow streets and beautiful castle park. 2 nights in Tallinn. (F)

  • Day 8 Day 8: Medieval Tallinn

      Day 8: Medieval Tallinn

      A whole day in the sign of the capital! During an exploration tour you will discover the unique old town (UNESCO World Heritage Site) with its well-preserved cathedral, the famous town hall square and the completely preserved city wall with its two defense towers "Langer Hermann" and "Dicke Margarethe". Then we go up to the cathedral hill. From here you have a beautiful view of the old town all the way to the Baltic Sea! You will stroll to the medieval Toompea Castle, now the seat of the Estonian Parliament, and visit the Orthodox Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Youโ€™ll spend the afternoon at your own pace. Stroll through the small streets, visit the city museum or stroll through the modern Rotermann Quarter, characterized by 19th-century industrial buildings. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner together in a Tallinn restaurant and have a last opportunity to share special experiences and impressions. (B/A)
