En route we will also spot some of Slovak cultural and natural landmarks - castles, mountains and beautiful landscapes. In the afternoon we will do our first hike, easy and relaxing one.

Starting in the village ล trbskรฉ Pleso, 2-hour comfortable walk

Day 2: The Sucha Bela Canyon And Spis Castle - Spissky Hrad

The Sucha Bela canyon is the most favorite, beautiful and romantic place you can visit here. You will experience many ladders, chains and footbridges. Trips to this gorge are unforgettable experience with magical views and stunning nature.

During the whole hike, the tourist pathway leads along the stream. In narrow places, there are wooden footbridges and also some ladders. You will see many waterfalls. After the rain and in the beginning of spring, the level of water in streams is higher and the pathway is sometimes full of muddy sections, and rocks can be possibly slippery; therefore, it is necessary to wear high waterproof trekking boots with Vibram sole.

This canyon is one of the most visited; thatโ€™s why we donโ€™t recommend hiking here in the period of summer holidays โ€“ July and August. On the other hand, the most beautiful hikes can be carried out in April and May, and during autumn, September and October.

If you can travel in Slovakia only in July or August, we can go for this hike to Sucha Bela canyon, or we can choose another one with less people on ladders.

      Difficulty: moderate

Late afternoon, on first day or second day, weโ€™ll visit Spis Castle, one of the largest mediaeval castles in central Europe.

  • Day 3 Day 3: High Tatras Hike
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 3: High Tatras Hike

We will start in the mountain village ล trbskรฉ Pleso and continue further up for approximately 3 hours to the largest (200 800 m2) and deepest (53,7m) mountain lake in the Slovak part of the High Tatras, Veฤพkรฉ Hincovo pleso. From there we ascend to Vyลกnรฉ Kรดprovskรฉ sedlo, and to the Kรดprovskรฝ peak.

At 2367 meters (7765 ft), Kรดprovskรฝ peak offers spectacular views over the High Tatra ridges and valleys. It is one of the easiest to access among the High Tatra peaks, and the trail leads through one of the most beautiful valleys in the whole mountain range.

      Duration: approximately 6-8 hours

Route: ล trbskรฉ Pleso โ€“ Popradskรฉ pleso โ€“ Veฤพkรฉ Hincovo pleso โ€“ Kรดprovskรฝ peak and back

Day 4: River Hornรกd, Klรกstorska Gorge And Falcon Valley

The Falcon Valley is the wildest gorge with the highest waterfall in the Slovak Paradise National Park โ€“ Zรกvojovรฝ vodopรกd (70 m), which is the third highest waterfall in Slovakia.

      The hike is moderately difficult.

      Klรกลกtorskรก gorge.

There are many waterfalls on relatively short route of the gorge. It is moderately difficult round hike. The first part goes along the exposed canyon section of so-called Prielom Hornรกdu secured by the footbridges, chains, footboards and ladders. It is important to be very careful during the crossing. The second part consists of a hike on a comfortable terrain on the pathways in woods, and the whole hike ends in Klรกลกtorisko.

      Moderately difficult hike.
