  • Day 1 Day 1: Arrival In Salt Lake City

      Day 1: Arrival In Salt Lake City

      Individual arrival in Salt Lake City. Meet at the hotel around 5 p.m. and discuss the trip over dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Salt Lake City: Antelope Island
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 2: Salt Lake City: Antelope Island

      Visit to the imposing Capitol and walk through the Botanical Gardens, where hummingbirds, rabbits, lizards and other animals live alongside selected plants. In the afternoon, picnic and hike in Antelope Island State Park, an island in the middle of the Great Salt Lake and home to countless water birds, antelopes, deer, coyotes and buffalo. Possibility for a swim. Overnight stay as on the previous day.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Salt Lake City - Bear Lake

      Day 3: Salt Lake City - Bear Lake

      Tour of the site of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Park City and visit to the Sports Museum. You will also have the opportunity to stroll through Utahโ€™s largest outlet shopping center. Continue to Fossil Butte National Monument. Spend the evening at an original ranch overlooking Bear Lake. Overnight stay in a luxury western covered wagon with campfire (summer dates). Alternatively, overnight stay in pioneer log cabins (with shower/WC) with campfire and BBQ.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Bear Lake - Jackson Hole

      Day 4: Bear Lake - Jackson Hole

      You will visit a nature reserve with various bird species. You then visit Soda Springs with its large geyser and traces of the famous Oregon Trail. Depending on the time of year, you will stop at the Blackfoot Reservoir with its large pelican colony. Later in the afternoon, you will arrive in the attractive town of Jackson, an artistsโ€™ village with many galleries and craft stores. Overnight stay in a hotel.

  • Day 5 Day 5: Jackson - Yellowstone National Park

      Day 5: Jackson - Yellowstone National Park

      Today you can take an optional raft trip on the Snake River. Later, hike along the foot of the Grand Teton mountain range and along Jackson Lake, where you may be lucky enough to spot moose. Onward journey to Yellowstone NP. Two nights in a hotel at the entrance to the park.

      Day 6: Yellowstone National Park: Round Trip

      Yellowstone NP is home to the largest population of North American wildlife, including herds of buffalo, pronghorn, deer, grizzly and black bears, elk, coyotes, wolves, foxes, eagles, ibex, porcupines and various bird species such as swans and pelicans. Walk to the fascinating sinter terraces of Mammoth Hot Springs. Then on to the Yellowstone River Canyon via Tower Falls. Hike at the famous Lower and Upper Falls. Overnight stay as on the previous day.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Yellowstone National Park - Cody

      Day 7: Yellowstone National Park - Cody

      Visit to Old Faithful Geyser and the historic lodge of the same name. The area around Old Faithful offers unique geothermal wonders. Drive through the Lamar Valley where, with a bit of luck, you can observe many different animals. The scenic Beartooth Highway with its many waterfalls takes you to the Wild West town of Cody. Two nights in a log cabin in the village.

  • Day 8 Day 8: Cody: Buffalo Bill Museum

      Day 8: Cody: Buffalo Bill Museum

      This morning you have the opportunity to take part in a horseback ride (optional). At the Buffalo Bill Historical Center you will gain a comprehensive insight into life in the "Wild West". Overnight stay as on the previous day.

  • Day 9 Day 9: Cody - Sheridan

      Day 9: Cody - Sheridan

      In the morning, drive by four-wheel drive vehicle to the Mustang region, where you may be lucky enough to see the famous wild horses. You cross the Bighorn Mountains. Walk in the nature reserve at Shell Falls and hike around a mountain lake. Depending on the weather, you will take a short hike to one of the largest medicine wheels in the country - a sacred place for the Arapaho. Continue to Fort Phil Kearny, where you will gain an insight into the history of the Bozeman Trail and famous wars between Native Americans and white conquerors. Drive to Sheridan. Overnight stay at the hotel.

      Day 10: Sheridan - Deadwood

      Hike to the impressive volcanic formation Devilโ€™s Tower, home to a large colony of prairie dogs. Continue to the Black Hills area, where you will visit a buffalo jump, a showplace of Indian buffalo hunts. Continue to Deadwood, a historic gold mining town. Overnight stay in a hotel.

  • Day 11 Day 11: Deadwood - Mount Rushmore

      Day 11: Deadwood - Mount Rushmore

      Explore the most famous rock monuments in the USA: Crazy Horse Monument and Mount Rushmore with its huge presidential portraits. Hike in Custer State Park with its picturesque granite rocks and romantic mountain lakes. You hope to see buffalo and herds of wild burros. Overnight stay in a log cabin in Wall.

  • Day 12 Day 12: Badlands National Park

      Day 12: Badlands National Park

      In the morning, visit a museum that provides information about the tragic history of the Sioux at Wounded Knee and the National Grassland Visitor Center. The highlight is the Badlands National Park, a fantastic, colorful landscape and home to bison and bighorn sheep. Hike and visit to the visitor center. In the evening opportunity to stroll through the original village of Wall. Overnight stay as on the previous day.

  • Day 13 Day 13: Hot Springs - Oglala Grassland

      Day 13: Hot Springs - Oglala Grassland

      Visit an excavation site in Hot Springs, where 26,000-year-old mammoth bones were found. In the Oglala National Grassland you may be lucky enough to spot pronghorn antelopes, prairie dogs and various birds of prey. At Fort Robinson State Park and the nearby museum, you will learn a lot about the history of the indigenous people and the fur trade of the time. Continue through the wildlife area to Lusk. Overnight stay at the hotel.

  • Day 14 Day 14: Fort Laramie - Denver

      Day 14: Fort Laramie - Denver

      Tour of Fort Laramie and insight into the history of the soldiers, settlers and the indigenous Lakota, Cheyenne and Arapaho. Continue and explore Register Cliff, a rock that bears the names of countless immigrants. Stay in the small cowboy capital of Wyoming, Cheyenne. Overnight stay in a hotel in Denver.
