TROMSØ - POLAR PARK - SVOLVÆR

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Bardu and visit to the Polar Park.

Here you can admire the largest predators of the Arctic region: the lynx, the gray wolf, and the wolverine, but also more docile animals such as the moose, reindeer, and the Arctic fox. Please note that the complete presence of animals cannot always be guaranteed due to their natural behavior, weather conditions, and other unpredictable factors.

Lunch on your own on the way.

We will continue to the Lofoten Islands. According to a ranking published by the English magazine "The Observer," the Lofoten Islands are second among the most beautiful islands in the world. In winter, the weather changes rapidly, and these sudden changes give rise to splendid light effects that, for decades, have inspired many artists attracted to this region. Continue to Svolvær, the "capital of Lofoten" with about 4,600 inhabitants and the most populous city in the archipelago

Accommodation: Thon Lofoten, Scandic Svolvær or similar.

  • Day 3 DISCOVERING THE LOFOTEN ISLANDS

      DISCOVERING THE LOFOTEN ISLANDS

Breakfast at the hotel. We will continue discovering the Lofoten Islands, dominated by imposing snow-capped peaks reflected in the sea. Separated from the mainland by the Vestfjord, these islands form a 150-km-long chain of smaller islets and tiny bays where we can admire picturesque fishing villages whose main source of income is cod fishing, which is then air-dried to create stockfish, exported in large quantities to Spain and other parts of the world. But the Lofoten are also rich in history, culture, and folklore. Visiting the old fishing villages is a moment of continuous discovery from a historical and cultural point of view. We will visit the Lofotr Viking Museum. The museum is located on an archaeological site discovered in 1983, near Borg. A typical Viking settlement has been reconstructed here, where we can learn more about the history, culture, and traditions of these legendary people

After dinner, the exciting search for the Northern Lights awaits us with our tour guide. With clear skies and if we're lucky, we'll be able to admire the spectacle of the Northern Lights dancing above us

Accommodation: Thon Lofoten, Scandic Svolvær or similar.

  • Day 4 SVOLVÆR - SORTLAND - HARSTAD

      SVOLVÆR - SORTLAND - HARSTAD

Breakfast at the hotel. We will continue our route between snow-capped mountains, bridges, and small villages, until we reach Sortland. Free time for lunch at the passenger's expense. Here, an authentic Lappish experience awaits us. We will visit a reindeer farm, where we can learn about the culture of the Sami people and listen to their traditional songs while sitting around a fire inside a Lavvo (typical Sami tent).

We will continue the journey enjoying the views of this region, towards Harstad.

      Accommodation: Scandic Harstad or similar
